Dr. Park and her team are amazing…read more Our first appointment was a few weeks back when they had first opened but despite it being just opened, they were ready and raring to go. Their knowledge and experience working with children is evident as the entire office from decor to music was tailored to children; this bit seems less important and superficial but it is tremendous in making a child feel comfortable and as a parent, that your child is understood. On top of all of this, Dr. Park and her team, including Miss Lisa are trained to work with children with disabilities such as those on the spectrum. They displayed this specialty with how they were able to utilize specific techniques and explaining things with social stories. Their sense of urgency is also most appreciated as they were able to coordinate services for my son with Northeast Dental Anesthesia, who is also highly recommended. All in all, Pink Door Dental definitely has me in their cheering section and I would recommend to anyone and everyone. If they took adults, I'd transfer over too!

After we were seated, forty minutes after our appointment time, an assistant asked whether nitrous oxide would be used, which I declined. The dentist then entered the room without washing her hands and did not introduce herself or confirm my son's identity. She did not explain that she intended to proceed with an extraction. She briefly referenced a "bite block" without clarifying the nature of the procedure. Without obtaining informed consent, the dentist administered Novocaine and exited the room, again without washing her hands. After the injection, an assistant presented an iPad for consent. I asked what I was being asked to sign and was told to "read the iPad." The dentist then returned and extracted the tooth. Post-procedure instructions were provided only after the extraction was completed. At no point prior to Novocaine administration or extraction was informed consent obtained. Additionally, I observed a lack of hand hygiene upon entry and exit, which was concerning as the dentist continued to see other patients. I raised these concerns during the visit. My feedback was dismissed and met with explanations rather than acknowledgment.

Hygienist Lisa was awesome with a hyper, cabin-fevered kiddo, giving names and "kid-friendly" applications to the entire cleaning process (my fave: Mr. Thirsty for the mouth vac). Any discomfort or unease from my boy melted away with her engaging conversation and demeanor. Thank you Lisa. Dr. Heather was direct and didn't try to upsell X-rays, procedures or anything - just straight-forward advice for the next six months of a constantly changing PreK mouth. Plus, he got an invisible ink pen, a Spider Man toothbrush, bubble gum toothpaste and floss sticks on the way out! Where'd the ink end up? My coffee cup and his nose, mostly. Stellar spot that gets kids and what they need to feel comfortable. An easy five stars.

Iam not cutting any slack for any human being that would harm a child. I was told if my daughter…read morewas going to opt for a composite filling on her two cavities she would most definitely need anesthesia. I have the anesthesia paperwork and it's about $2400 because downtime and whatever excuse to charge more money., so no it will never be 1600. A composite filling takes time so therefore nitrous oxide is a no go since she can wake up and freak out. They could not confirm any more than the two cavities since they were not able to get the pictures, however, they didn't mention some invisible cavity being a problem. I am very neurotic taking care of my daughter's teeth and have close-up pictures. It's pretty impressive how clean they are. Now the father gives me the quote from the Dental company and the Whole dental visit will end up costing about 4500 since it's 2000 for the dental work/not general anesthesia. so my daughter would've undergone anesthesia and walked out with five stainless steel crowns in her mouth. Oh, I was very clear. I absolutely don't give consent to crowns. They also wanted to add ceiling on top of the tooth that they were going to crown. I can't see how that's necessary but, OK let's make the quote higher and add in. stainless steel crowns are very fast for procedure so there was absolutely no reason to suggest that over composite filling. Something is truly corrupt and more people need to speak up about this child abuse. Thank God, my gut told me to look further into it. One woman was not as lucky and had the same exact quote, expected child's teeth to be filled to daughter being gone for three hours and walking out with a metal mouth. These people need to be stopped. I am so sorry for her. I need to warn everyone.
