However, in my experience, Dr. Kurtis is the best dentist on this planet. He does not have an incompetent dental hygienist scrape your mouth to pieces and hose you down with water so that you emerge like a drowned rat, but meticulously does the cleaning and scaling himself. For each six month checkup he performs a complete cancer scan. His skill is exemplary in every sense of the word. For 60+ years I had been flossing and brushing my teeth incorrectly and never knew it. It has cost me a fortune over the years for fillings, root canals, crowns, implants, etc. Dr. Kurtis charges a minimum fee for a thorough lesson on dental hygiene. I had to have full restoration done on my upper front teeth and was wary of spending five hours in a dentist chair. I always dreaded the torture of something as simple as having a local anesthetic, which always resulted in a completely numb face and nose as if I had just suffered damage from a stroke, but under Dr. Kurtis' expert care, I felt absolutely nothing. I was so relaxed I even fell asleep for most of the lengthy appointment and was provided with a warm fleece blanket. The experience was like being at an expensive spa resort in Hawaii. Dr. Kurtis works with state of the art equipment and explains every aspect of any procedure carefully and thoroughly. He truly cares about his patients rather than screaming at them for being "uncooperative" while you writhe in pain having a 'dentist' drill right into your nerve while fracturing your tooth apart. I walked out of my appointment smiling with my temporary veneers and I cannot wait to go back to have the permanent ones installed. Whatever galaxy you are located in and no matter how many light years it takes you to reach his office, you'll be very glad that you came across Dr. Kurtis who is an artist par excellence. His office manager Lisa is a paragon of efficiency and greets clients most amicably, creating a very personable and welcoming enivronment.

I brushed my teeth but that was about it. When I was fortunate enough to meet the lady who became my wife I decided to break down and visit her dentist to see how much damage was done. I got lucky on two fronts. One, I hadn't done to much damage. Two, I met my wives former classmate, Dr Ernest Violet. Dr Violet's office is as much of a pleasure to visit as any dentist office can ever hope to be. I like my dentist office to know what an abject coward I am and from the office staff, to the hygienists, to Dr Violet himself they've got my number. I hear they even have a betting pool on whether I will show up for my scheduled appointments. Tricky devils that they are, they started scheduling my whole family together. Curses, foiled again! On a professional front all the bases are covered. They will work with your insurance, handle all the paperwork and still manage to make you feel like you've made friends. Dr Violet is good at all the technical stuff and most importantly hasn't caused me to run out of the office yet. Got my first root canal the other day and it was a pleasure. Alright, not so much. But it wasn't painful. Of course the office staff didn't tell me that's what I was there for. Thanks a lot, ladies. It's been twenty years since I started seeing Dr Violet. I am still married to my lovely wife Jane and I still have all of the teeth that I first brought to the dentist office. Overall, since you have to go to the dentist anyway, why not go to one that makes it as close to fun as it's ever gonna be. I would have given them 5 stars but, IT'S A DENTIST OFFICE! UPDATE: I made the mistake of wearing a "Yankees Choke" shirt to the office on my last visit. This upset the red haired lady as she is a Yankee fan. Before I left the office I'm pretty sure she put a curse on me, causing another tooth to break a couple of weeks later. Whatever you do, DON'T LET THE RED HAIRED LADY KNOW YOU'RE A SOX FAN! The crown actually fell out into my mouth while waiting for them to reopen. I was treated very well and everything was explained. Multiple visits due to needing a graft. I don't recall even having to take aspirins for pain. I can't even tell which tooth it was while looking in the mirror. I would highly recommend them. I'm considering going back as I have missing teeth in the back of my mouth.
