Definitely agree with other reviewers, especially about the girl at the cutting table -- ecch!…read moreSometimes you get someone nice, but mostly it's someone disinterested who acts like you're interrupting their work (?) having to wait on you. The store is always a mess, with items thrown all over the place or on the floor, and boxes waiting to be unpacked blocking the aisles, as you can see in the photo below, taken yesterday. Those boxes have been sitting there for weeks -- I know this because I went in a couple weeks ago to get some outdoor fabric and these boxes were blocking ALL the outdoor fabric on that aisle. Went back yesterday; same thing. There are many aisles where giant boxes block the products you need to get to. Or, you go there to get an item listed on the app as "7 in stock" and can't find a single one, even with staff assistance. It's really hit or miss whether they'll have what you're looking for, unless of course it's fleece because heavens to Betsy, the store is certainly full of that! At the time of this writing, they're having a sale on K&C hand-dyed yarn. At least half the hanks are unwound, tangled beyond repair, and lying on the floor. Apparently Joann customers don't understand hand-dyed yarn and think it's fun to unwind it. Yesterday's experience for me was especially horrific due to the insane amount of COLOGNE the male cashier was wearing. I had intended to just do a curbside pickup so I could get back to my project (ran out of the specific thread), but when the guy brought out my order, the entire thing *reeked* of cologne so bad I literally gagged. I am highly allergic to fragrance and tend to try to avoid contact with people wearing the stuff whenever possible, but this was all over my bag, receipt, etc. Then it turned out the snaps I'd bought in my pickup order were too small, so I had to go into the store ... and then was rung up by that same doused-in-cologne guy. I had to stand on the opposite side of the aisle holding my breath, reached forward to pay and immediately stepped back again, then once done hurried out of the store so I could breathe again. This guy is just one of the employees who wears too much cologne; definitely the worst. Oh, and those "coupons" and "sales"? Yeah, that's so you can pay the regular price for the items that you could've bought anywhere else at that price on any day. I go to Joann only when necessary, like to get the thread I needed for my sewing project. Oh how I **wish** there were another option in town, but the few there are (quilt shops like Treelotta) are quite a drive for me and not practical most of the time.

I was here on a really busy day. So many customers and very few staff. Despite all of this August,…read morethe manager- who was busy restocking and helping at the cutting counter - was friendly and helped me find several products. Thank you, August!
