Jeff absolutely blew me away with the florals. I asked for pretty simple arrangements in white and lilac: small centerpieces, simple aisle markers, and a couple pieces for the wedding arch. Each arrangement was SO impactful in the space, especially against the backdrop of the Ko'olau Mountains. I had requested light and airy florals, and Jeff followed the brief perfectly with sweet peas in the bouquets. From the initial inquiry, Jeff was easy to work with and very generous with information. I feel like he did a great job setting expectations, for example, letting me know that the eucalyptus seen all over Pinterest inspo isn't allowed in Hawaii, while offering similar alternatives. I also greatly appreciated how respectful Jeff was of our budget during this process. This is going to be a long review because I have so much to say so TLDR- just book Jeff. I didn't know flowers could be this beautiful- I think he's an actual floral genius. And he was our favorite vendor to work with!! You know how you go to weddings and don't really ever notice the florals? I knew Jeff would do a great job and create flowers that I would personally love, but I didn't expect to get non stop compliments on the florals all night! Even over a month later, our families and friends are still bringing up how stunning the flowers were and it makes me so happy they loved them as much as we did! That is how incredible Jeff is!!! I was, am, and will probably always be obsessed with my insanely gorgeous bouquet and all the other arrangements! From our first consultation, I knew Jeff was special- I probably had 10+ consultations with different florists (I know, I know), and what stood out about Jeff was that he took the time to educate me on his process, and even helped me start to figure out my style and what I was wanting because I was feeling very lost. And he was just also friendly and easy to talk to! I noticed that he doesn't have a lot of reviews and doesn't post much on Instagram. I asked him about it and he shared he once had a inquiring client ask if he even does florals anymore because he doesn't post much hahaha But the reason is because he focuses his time and energy on the flowers! He does a lot of weddings and events and the best place to see his work is in the photos he's tagged in on Instagram. He was absolutely my favorite vendor to work with- so patient, knowledgable, collaborative, fun, and accommodating! Going into figuring out flowers for the wedding, I had no idea how to explain what I wanted, and couldn't find anything online that I loved. Jeff was so patient and helpful and took quite a few phone meetings with me to help me realize what I was wanting the final product to look like. I felt more equipped after each call with new knowledge and tools to help me form what was a bunch of random thoughts and ideas in my head into an actual concept! And then Jeff took that and created art!!! Going into our consultation, I thought I wanted neutral colors- ivories, creams, some pastels, and some tropical flowers. Jeff said the style I was going for was tropical nouveau/neo-tropical (which was super helpful for my pinterest searches!). After our meetings and emails, we stuck with the neo-tropical theme but he helped me get over my fear of color and we ended up going with a sunset color palette and I'm so glad we did!! To honor my grandparents, I asked him to add some flowers in their favorite colors. I wasn't sure how a sky blue colored flower would work with our warm, sunset colors but asked Jeff to use his judgement on it and I was so shocked at how beautiful it all turned out. We were considering another florist who quoted us less (they amazingly grow their own flowers!), but we decided to go with our gut and work with Jeff because he emphasized design and that's what I needed most help with. In the end, we think his rates were more than reasonable for the quality and level of work he created! Unlike a lot of florists, Jeff doesn't require a minimum budget to work with him, which I really appreciated since we weren't having a big traditional wedding and we just wanted personal flowers and some centerpieces. He was very respectful of our budget and transparent about flower costs and how we could save money. He never pushed us to spend more- instead he even came up with ideas on how we could save and spend less! We also rented flameless candles from Jeff at an affordable price and he picked them to be perfect heights to work with our arrangements so that saved me the headache of buying and shipping candles, and figuring out what to do with them after the destination wedding. We had our ceremony and reception on separate days which could have been a bit confusing with the different items we wanted on each day, but Jeff was super organized and executed everything perfectly. I originally was going to get one bouquet for the ceremony and another fresh one for the reception, but Jeff helped us save money by offering to just make one bouquet with hardier flowers. It was the most beautiful bouquet I (and a lot of our guest) had ever seen and were perfectly fresh for those two days and beyond! He puts his arrangements in white compote bowls, and they don't need to be returned. So we gave the arrangements to guests to enjoy, and also repurposed them the next morning for our brunch and people were so happy to see the flowers again! Anyway if you've read this far, you're clearly invested so just reach out to Jeff! You will have peace of mind during the wedding planning craziness that you will have gorgeous flowers for your special day! Jeff did the florals for our wedding at the Kahala, and we were blown away at how they came out. We had a virtual meeting to share photos with him and discuss what kind of color scheme and vision we were going for. I was recommended to contact Jeff through my day-of coordinator who had worked with him before. He provided my wedding with the most beautiful floral pieces! Through him, I ordered my bridal bouquet, boutonnieres for our parents and my husband, leis for my VIPS, aisle decorations, cake flowers, head table flowers, and the vines for my head table pipe and drape. I never really realized how much florals can impact a wedding day until I saw what Jeff has created for us. During our initial consultation, I gave Jeff the color palette that I am envisioning for our wedding day, which is spring pastel colors with a tropical touch. He then sent us the floral proposal listing all of the types of colors and flowers that he will use for our wedding day. When our wedding day came, all of us were so surprised by how GORGEOUS our wedding florals turned out. Our bouquet was probably the most unique and the most beautiful arrangement we have ever seen. The touch of soft pink and white anthuriums nested in between the soft pink, coral, and white roses were so romantically beautiful.
