I had emailed her asking specifically for quotes if I were to purchase X items, and she responded saying she had ordered a bunch of the items and told me the price in the same email. I was shocked by the price and could not afford the full amount I was looking for and initially felt bad, telling her Id take them off her hands since she'd already ordered them, even though I no longer even needed those items, but did not realize how expensive it was and that I just couldn't afford it. When I went in, she said it wasn't her problem and that she had ordered them just for me, and felt that I had led her on... all I had done was discussed the project with her and asked for quotes, and I had been transparent about not being sure about some things being my first project of this scale, but she went ahead and ordered BEFORE giving me the price, there is no obligation on my end to purchase at the end of the day. I could have not shown up at all that day but I am someone who keeps their word. She ended up giving me 10% off, which was literally just one of the 10 items free (I spent close to $1k there, you're welcome, on items that are literally $45 less at Michaels, and I will never be back).

I mean there is an overpriced clothing rack right in front of the store that looks like used clothing. It is new but it is tacky and so out of fashion. I don't really understand what they intention of using this rack to attract clients to your store. In the interior of store, there are clothing racks lining one wall, then more clothing racks kind of thrown in at odd places. There are jewellery cases scattered, house decorations on shelves on walls, it just feels so overwhelmingly and has no congruency. And the prices are just so ridiculously over the top. I saw a pair of knitted gloves, simple not extra ordinary for $75. Huh ??? There are way too many things here kind of like a public market gone bad.

This is a large space with an assortment of wares from local artists; visual arts, t-shirts, ceramics, toys. In the corner is a small selection of retro clothing, shoes and belts, in good condition but a wee bit overpriced for my liking. According to the owner's mother, her son started the store and is fully connected with arts students and other friends who wanted a venue to show their work here in the city. Next door is Fresh Life's brother Arts Life, here is where Fresh has an artistic incarnation of itself. Presently her son is working on a show there, but she wasn't quite sure when it was. Well, I see the passionate intention of making this two door concept work but I felt it a bit too sparse for me, and prices were fairly high. But kudos for the attempt. Would I recommend coming to this store? If you are a lover of supporting the Arts in the community by all means, but if you want to get your shop on, merch is pretty limited.

In addition to the basic stationery - beautiful handmade cards designed by local artists, mirrors and buttons with fetching designs and beautiful if expensive handmade paper, they have a bit of everything else. That means they have a bunch of "how-to" books in addition to some very attractive books about graphic design, beautiful notebooks, prints and supplies like stamps and pencils. Yes indeed, it is a visual overload for your eyes. Unfortunately, while you are endeavouring to support local artists and art you are also spending a small fortune.
