Someone told me they had a great selection on Christmas decorations so, I thought why not check them out? I'm not the crafty type, wish I was so I wouldn't have thought of this place for Christmas decor. First off the store is huge and they have everything. I thought they were only an arts and crafts kind of place, but I was so wrong. From painting supplies, to baking, organization baskets,to every kind of seasonal decoration you can think of, to artificial flowers and plants. A bit of everything. The staff were accommodating and I always found someone to steer me in the right direction. Plenty of parking in front too. It's not a store to make a quick trip too since you get side tracked with all the other aisles. I defiantly found Christmas decorations that I was after and plenty more. I did the kids club with my four year old brother and the lady who was supervising was extremely rude. She was especially judgemental towards all the kids decisions of what colour they decided for their bats and pumpkins. She wouldn't allow them to do any colour other than orange for pumpkins and black for bats. The lady also decided for the kids when they were done and basically kicked them out. read more

I'm not a super crafty person but upon planning my wedding last year, I did a few DIY projects (painting frames) etc. so I went in here more than usual. Very nice employees and huge selection! The emails they try to sign you up for are mega annoying but they do have wicked coupons so I don't block them or unsubscribe. It's extremely frustrating going into Michaels with a project in mind and the shelves are bare. Since last October I've gone in looking for wool, knitting needles and happy planner stickers etc. And the shelves are bare! So picked over there nothing left! Very disappointing. I had no idea Michael's had such an extensive baking section. If you need cutting or storing or ingredients for cooking or baking, they have lots of niche stuff. There's also tons of canvas sizes, paint options, seasonal decorations, and all kinds of things for a crafter to use when making stuff. They offer classes, host birthday parties, and offer framing services. There's aisles of wedding, knitting, modeling, flowering, and ... you get the idea. read more
