They have dairy free options!!!! There is a lemongrass ice cream and a sorbet(I think it's raspberry flavor?). After visiting two other ice cream shops before Cream, we finally found one that had DF. This lady at the register was kind and helpful. My whole family loved our ice cream choices. We recommend l!! read more

Wow! Family owned business that makes their own ice cream. Creative names and flavors. We tried buffalo chip, which is coffee ice cream with semi sweet chocolate chunks, and pistachio almond, which was also excellent. As ice cream connoisseurs, we found these creamy and not overly sweet. They make their own waffle cones too. Picnic benches with umbrellas for outdoors for seating. What a way to end our vacation! read more

It was time for my 400pm iced coffee break and luckily this cute spot had coffee. There's not too many places in this small town to get coffee so I was lucky to find it. The service was quick and friendly and the coffee was made just right. read more

This is the best ice cream my family and I have ever had. Make sure to stop here and grab a scoop! Staff is awesome.

Absolutely delicious ice cream! Do not miss this place. Fun flavors and well made. What a treat!

What a find in hill city! This family owned business has the most unusual combinations of ice cream I have ever seen. The freshest homemade ice cream. Please stop in when I'm the hill city area. We are going back for seconds! read more

The best Ice cream we've ever eaten. You will not be disappointed! Skip the other places and come straight here

This was an amazing place, not only to get a unique flavor of ice cream ("Grey Stuff" - which is black licorice) but also to get friendly service and suggestions about how to maximize and prioritize things that you are looking to do in the area. Jeremy was extraordinary helpful in selecting a flavor and changing our last day itinerary. read more

I typically don't write bad reviews but felt this one was warranted. We had been to this place the year prior and did not have any issues however this year was a different story. First of all if they are busy there is very little room on the shop to stand, then you go in and we asked to sample a couple flavors and they told us they don't do samples which I'm sorry but most ice cream places that I have been to especially specialty places that have flavors that are not common do samples so you know you are not wasting money. Then we tried to order a flavor in a cone and they said they don't do those flavors in a cone, only in cups. So certain flavors are in a cups and other flavors are only for cones. This does not make sense to me. We decided to walk out and go to Turtle Town and guess what, THEY DO SAMPLES! Staff was much more friendly, ice cream was just as good and cheaper, it was much cooler in the shop and they even have seating inside. Go to Turtle Town. read more

If you want great hand crafted ice cream while you are in Hill City step on down to Cream. We had the Lavender Honey and Key Lime. Outstanding!! So many flavors to choose from. Each is previously hand packed into a paper cup. We enjoyed getting it this way as it didn't melt as fast as hand dipped. By serving this way they are also able to serve so many flavors that you would normality not get in hand dipped. Highly recommend! read more

Delicious ice cream. Lots of unique flavors! Very pleasant people working. I would definitely recommend this place to people visiting in Hill City. read more

This business is no longer in business, so very sad. Would have loved to support this small ice cream shop when in town but we walked up to what is now an empty store. Asked the neighboring business where we could find this place and he said the empty store is where it use to be and that they are no longer in business. We were directed to turtle town across the street for ice cream. :( read more

Excellent real ice cream in a changing variety. I had orange....tasted like a creamsicle. Friend had boysenberry and said it was delicious as well. They also serve coffee drinks although I didn't pay much attention to those. They observe social distancing and I saw them wiping down tables regularly. read more

Sam Elliott's Moustache! A bourbon infused vanilla ice cream! Who would have thought, but yummy. This adorable and very clean shop in Hill, right on the Main Street, has hearty servings and new flavors. Well worth the stop. They even offer a. Flight of flavors, a fabulous idea! Four mini cups for a variety of tastes without commitment to just one. Save room for dessert! read more

We came here the first day we were in Hill City for a latte. We ended up trying "Sam Elliot's Mustache" ice cream too. It was AMAZING!! We went back each day for either a coffee or ice cream. It's the best! read more

We tried 4 different flavors and three of them were pretty good, but not worth the high price. I expected something better for what I paid. The vanilla was not really good at any price. Even the three good flavors were not as good as they could have been because the wooden spoon had a flavor of its own that was off putting. read more

Phenomenal place to visit. Quality product and customer service. They genuinely care about you having a great experience.

This is my go-to place for ice cream in the Black Hills! There are always different flavors to try. Some of my favorites: honey and lavender; orange and cardamom (which is reminiscent of the orange fruit loop); rum raisin; and chocolate. Jeremy and staff are always friendly!! read more

Shop this local store for homemade ice cream! This sweet little ice cream and coffee shop was such a pleasant experience. Service was friendly/polite. The ice cream is homemade and you can tell. Super creamy and a lot of both traditional and interesting flavors to choose from. This is a newish business and you can tell they poured love into it. It is not a chain and looked like a family was running it. It makes their day when you are happy with your experience there. Spouse also had an Americano coffee and tasted correct/good. I love the owners sense of humor in her Mt. Rushmore size (4 small scoops). So funny and a distinct/cute idea. Would absolutely be back if we lived here but we were just traveling through. Best wishes Cream! read more

Busy, cute place! Ordered cold brew and an iced latte in AM and coffee was good. Looked like a nice place for ice cream later in the day.

We stumbled upon Cream randomly and so glad we did! This specialty ice cream place is not to be missed. Delicious, like really delicious ice cream and my husband had the best mocha coffee he's ever had. They make their own chocolate yummmmm. If you like stout, you must try their Exhausted Parent flavor which is a no joke over 21 experience. I got tipsy on half a cone. Waffle cones are homemade and so good. Nice outdoor patio. Friendly service. I wish we had ordered the Mt Rushmore sampler with 4 flavors. The portions are enormous in the regular cones. read more

Yummy homemade ice cream with unique flavors (I got skotcharoo). And they had a vegan flavor - Assaulted (salted) Oreo, with a coconut base.

Such a cute little coffee house!! The iced lattes are amazing. Also, they make freshly baked pastries everyday. If your staying in the Black Hills, this is a must!! read more

Absolutely delicious!!! You have to try this ice cream! The toasted coconut is to die for and the homemade waffle cones were so good!

This is a must have!! If you are anywhere in South Dakota you need to stop here! :) The sweet grass and pistachio are my favorite. Staff is very nice! A flight is the perfect way to try several flavors in small servings! read more

In the midst of a cross-country road trip, it was good to get a taste of home. The place has a soft hippie vibe with their own ice cream flavors such as John Lemon, Madagascar Vanilla, Sam Elliot's Moustache, and Sage Against the Machine. read more

We recently visited the Black Hills area, and Hill City was just a short drive away. We went to this ice cream shop twice and my wife, kids and I really enjoyed the ice cream. Their availability of flavors seems to change rapidly, and they have quite a selection. The problem I have is, on our third trip to the shop, they didn't have any of the flavors that we enjoyed on our first two trips. I was trying to decide between two of the available flavors and asked to sample the cake batter ice cream as I didn't know what to expect. We were told that they do not provide samples, and would have to just choose blindly.. When I am paying almost $9 for a double scoop waffle cone, I would like to know what I am getting. And this is after we spent over $60 on the first two trips to the shop! Needless to say, I didn't purchase anything on the third trip. read more
