I have water going down the chimney in the attic and the ceiling in family rm damaged. A new roof and a $7,500.00 chimney repair that will be done on top of a brand new roof. I will know soon if the flashing is leaking, they put sealant over shingles to flashing on an 8 ft chimney, that may not even be to code. I am reading that if the flashing is done properly sealant is not needed. But, John Fox will fix that he'll peel the sealant off the shingles, so new shingles aren't needed either. Either way, crown or flashing issue, they are negligent for not walking the roof. The mason will have to do the job 2X on a brand new shingles. The mason was trying to work with ORS to repair the entire chimney, remove the flashing that is 15 inches high, band aid over a bad chimney, to repair the entire chimney properly, but no cooperation from ORS. Also, in the beginning, John Fox attempted to double dip on me on a couple of things, I am a senior citizen. The gutter guard was one, now I have areas that look like Niagara Falls, I want a refund, guess what John Fox said now? I didn't pay for the gutter guard, I have the Invoice. I had an Inspection, John Fox down played all the issues, stating OPINION, OPINION, OPINION. John Fox was also verbally demeaning and belittling to me, possibly abusive. He said he can put this into the BBB, and he knows people down there, and they know people like you, can't satisfy them. PLEASE NOTE: This was about the Inspection issues, nothing to do with the customer!? In 2025, I requested a different rep from the business, Mike Fox came out, then I never heard back from him. I sent a 30 day, Oct. 2025, then it was winter, I sent the Inspection in Spring, John Fox while talking on the phone about the Inspection and yes I was angry that he was down playing everything, he told me I was combative at the beginning, I asked for examples, I have not received that list of, he doesn't have any examples! They Breached the contract, I should have white drip edge porch, I pointed that out and he said "WE CAN'T" cut a piece that small, LIE! They breached the contract, now "we can't!" They are also breaching their warranty, they are not honoring it! Their business model should be, "WE DO NOT CARE AND WE CAN'T!" ORS! When I see reviews, roof looks nice, I would give 5 stars but I had to bend over once to clean up so 4 stars. How about getting an Inspection to really help people when they read your review. You can not say ORS did a great job until you had it inspected, because you have no idea! My house has water damage inside and out and Ohio Roofing and Siding has not arranged to meet with me on how they are going to take care of the issues. The mason was waiting and willing to work with them to repair the entire chimney. Also, 2 years ago I leveled out the brick walkway, ORS did not protect it, now you can feel the unevenness and dips, when you walk on it. I pointed that out to John Fox, you never get a correct customer service response, like we will take care of that, you get nothing! Not even a grunt! I also had to hear, the last day they were going to paint the gutters but then didn't, "no matter what we do, you won't be happy." WHAT!? I was not consulted on the big shinny black flashing or the black strip porch above shingles, I said something on those two things and that was 0% effort by John Fox not communicating with the customer. I feel I put up with verbal harassment also, I even asked for a different representative in 2025, not John Fox the owner. What is sad for a customer, if you have a warranty and a business doesn't care and are not honoring their warranty, you are between a rock and a hard place. This experience with ORS and with pics! The worst business I have ever dealt with! BBB rating A+!? BEWARE!

They put tar on gap from porch to stop leak.Last fall a squirrel pushed up soffit which was not properly attached and got into attic. My repair roofer said roof installation was poor ,not up to code and the tar led to siding damage and soffit was totally not installed right leading to leaking and easy squirrel entry.

They were nice, and cleaned up all the mess in the grass and surrounding house. Even after the window installers (separate company) didnt caulk around new windows Sean and his guy came out on Sunday night at 9:30 pm in the pouring rain to fix a leak that was caused by the windows. Now that is ethic that all businesses need. I would use him and recommend him and his guys.

Window installers, smoked like chimneys, butts all over my yard, actually asked my wife to help…read moremove furniture, did not arrive with the proper tools to complete the job, large window was heavy so they rolled it to the back opening instead of carrying it properly. Siding crew, didn't speak English, had to force them to properly tape the house wrap, damaged my grill and didn't say a word to us, it was already damaged by hail so apparently they didn't feel the need. Removed Ring doorbell with a crowbar after being told to leave it and I would remove it, removed outside lights with the power on, shorted and tripped the breaker, when putting siding back on for lights the wires were to short so they were basically left inside the siding, New siding was thicker, forced handrail back into place as far as they could, used a phillips screw driver on square head screws stripping them even though the railing wasn't even close to being in the correct location. Hand rail needed to be shortened 3/4" to fit correctly. Not to mention that I am still picking up nails and pieces of siding out of my yard. Now all that being said, I voiced my concerns, the regional manager reached out to me, I gave him all this same information, was told 4 weeks ago that the operations Manager would reach out to me to make sure everything was good, still waiting. Now I have customer service calling me demanding I pay the remaining balance which I will do tonight. Was promised that they only hire the best contractors to complete the work, now I am wishing I would have done the work myself to make sure it was done correctly.

My old windows were over 40 years old and drafty. I contacted Hansons along with several other outfits to get estimates and decided that the quality and price of Hanson was the best choice. I purchased nine custom made high-end , low E windows and installation. The windows were delivered on time and customer communication was good. I had a few questions for the contractors that came out and performed the work and those questions were answered at that time. The first winter I noticed in one bedroom the wood and wall received moisture damage. Not from typical condensation so I reached out to Hansons and they sent someone out to look into the matter. The problem was discovered to be caulk covered the window track drain panel which they were able to correct on the spot. I can say that that is the only issue I have had with my new windows or the workman ship. Over all, we are satisfied customers and would likely recommend to others.
