I should have cancelled the project when they came out FIVE times to measure for windows by several different people. I thought they were being thorough but it actually meant they had NO IDEA how to measure. Well now we've spent months arguing with them about the windows not being the appropriate size because after they installed them, my siding DID NOT fit. They are literally off by 1-2 inches. The project manager's explanation was that "sometimes that happens" which was utter BS because I'm quite confident he knew he messed up royally and didn't want to have to deal with it. He said they would not replace all the windows. We had another contractor come out and pull the window apart and basically said it was wrong and he measured them all wrong. I even questioned him during the installation when two of the windows were grossly undersized and they didn't nail one side of the windows to the house, so he used spray foam to fill in the gap and drilled screws through the side of the frame and said that's how you fix it. They also did a horrific job of installing an exterior door which they came back and fixed. Well they came and replaced those two windows. Josh had them to agree to fix 13 more but we are over it & i dont need mis-matched windows all over. So we decided we would just have to reside the entire house because it's hurricane season and I've got siding loose around every window. We consulted an attorney who we can't afford, with 3k retainer and 300 an hour (and an unknown amount of hours it would take) and their home office is in Ohio so we'd have to probably get another attorney in Ohio for that with no guarantee we'd ever see any money from them for their epic failure. To top it off it's a Veteran Owned Company who totally screwed over two veterans. So lesson learned and do NOT recommend Freedom Roofing Windows and Siding out of New Bern NC for any jobs!

I wish I would of just had them out first before wasting 4 different saturday afternoons making sure I got the best bang for buck. - They make their own product. - They have an install team that was by far the most well mannered and impressive I have seen. - They worked 8-10 hours a day until the job was done. - Looks amazing the sunroom was of way higher quality. Thermally insulated walls and roofs. - I love the wooden window look so I had them install the vinyl look alike. - A true warranty no Gimics like the others. - They own their own installers. Now they were not the cheapest but they were not the most expensive either. I had Wallside, Hansons, anderson and they had their pros and cons. But with champion they actually do windows not just take orders and sub all aspects out. Go with them, and youll see quality. And thats what matters to me.

The main reason we selected Schoen is because Aaron listened and understood our budget and vision, provided us with detailed costs estimates with various options before the build, and brought ideas to the project. As we made changes during the construction process, Aaron would always present us with detailed costs to help us weigh our options. My wife and I are extremely happy with the final product. Max and Pete worked through a downpour to hand scrub the areas of my roof to get the egg off. I can't say enough about the quality of their service and professionalism.
