Before we even set foot on the car lot, I had sent in all my documentation (Drivers Licence, Proof of income, residence etc.), Brian and John (I think that's the right name) checked my information, interviewed me for the loan and had an approval amount before even getting there. Although we chose a car we absolutely loved from the internet pictures, it happened to be about $4,000.00 more than our approval, but they worked with us, our down was only $500.00 more than for something in our approval amount, we received a much lower interest rate than expected. They deal with people from all walks of life, from those making minimum wage to those making over $150k a year...no matter what your situation, you're not brought in with a false sense of what you're approved for then sent to what I call the "Dog Pound" of ratty cars, you know up front before even going what you're approved for and are given a choice of late model, quality vehicles (in our case we were determined to get the one we fell for). Brian had the car we were interested in waiting for us when we showed up, handed us the keys for a test drive and when we returned, it was a matter of getting the car on our insurance, signing the paperwork, paying the downpayment and we were on our way!!! You will be treated with the respect and integrity you deserve, nothing hidden like 99% of the car dealers out there. Everybody was friendly, they make you feel like family, they're professional and don't pull anything over your eyes... If you're looking for a car, bottom of the barrel horrible credit or top of the chart excellant credit, you're going to get awesome treatment... I recommend this dealer (with multiple lots to pull from) 150%... If I could give them 10 Stars instead of 5... I would...

My wife has asked me twice now to contact the department after feeling dismissed by her service advisor--a sentiment echoed in several reviews, so it's clearly not an isolated experience. Our Ascent currently has 44,000 miles on it, and we've relied exclusively on South Charlotte Subaru for all scheduled maintenance (except for tires, I believe). While vacationing in Asheville in 2023, we first noticed squeaking in the brakes. For two years, we've inquired about the issue, and even received a notice from Subaru of North America about an extended brake warranty. Yet somehow, South Charlotte Subaru has never had the parts to perform the brake pad, rotor, or caliper replacements. It's astonishing that in a city the size of Charlotte, not a single other Subaru owner has apparently needed brake service over the past year--especially when new cars continue rolling off the line, fully equipped. During one visit, my wife was advised to get an injector cleaning, even though it wasn't part of the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule. She called me when she saw the bill--almost double the cost of an oil change. They removed the additional charges and only billed her the $80 for routine service, which--while expensive--is consistent with dealership pricing. Our most recent visit led us to call Subaru of North America directly and open a case to get warranty service approved. We purchased the Gold extended warranty under the impression that it functioned as an extension of the original Subaru warranty. While warranty decisions are handled by Subaru of North America, what's frustrating is South Charlotte's reluctance to even contact them for clarification or support. For example, the rear cupholder--which they repaired under warranty a year ago--broke again in the exact same way. This time, however, the service manager refused to reach out to Subaru to confirm coverage. It's discouraging, especially for a car we genuinely enjoy and a brand we were considering for our son's first vehicle in a few years. I initially believed my wife might've been exaggerating her treatment, especially since the dealership recently invested heavily in revamping the service center. But after she picked up the car--with parts left disassembled--I saw the issues firsthand. I was also close to purchasing a Subaru Legacy, but instead chose a Volvo S60. The difference in service has been stark--Volvo's support is leagues ahead despite South Charlotte Subaru's newer, flashier, and more spacious facility. You can do better, South Charlotte Subaru--or at least return to the standard you upheld before trading real service for a shiny new building. I'd gladly take the cramped, no-frills facility if it meant consistent care, rather than just a prettier place to wait while things fall through the cracks.

We used the Subaru Roadside Service for a free tow, and went to Subaru South Charlotte for repairs ... but the tow truck driver took the car to Williams Subaru. Beautiful dealership, and we'd not hesitate to use it correctly one day.

The service is poor, I took my 4Runner in because it had a low tire pressure and I found a small nail in it (it was a very slow leak) took over a week to get a low PSI, they aired it up for me and told me they couldn't patch it. I go home and wake up next morning and 2 tires are completely flat. It was in better shape before I took it in then after I left. To top it off they told me only way to replace is buy 2 new tires. The sales service is just as poor, They say they participate In the Costco auto sales program but most dealerships give you quotes and spec sheets to look at and compare vehicles. I spent a few days trying to buy or lease a vehicle and all they did was throw numbers at me and tell me how heavily discounted it was even though the payments were 200$ more a month then other dealerships for similar vehicles and packages. Once I told them I had to go else where the salesmen gave me attitude. North Charlotte Toyota, Concord Toyota and Gastonia Toyota are much better customer service all the way around. Toyota products sell themselves and in a lifelong toyota guy, I will just avoid this dealership.
