I have been to Crazy Vapors numerous times. I bought my first kit there, based on the very helpful staff (at the time). Their ejuice prices are about on par with the average you can find on the internet, although definitely not even close to the cheapest. However, be aware that their prices for tanks/mods/batteries are almost entirely at least 150% of what you find on the internet. I went to this store for over a year now because I felt their experience and advice outweighed the added cost, and I am a loyal person by nature. Over that time, I have watched the customer service decline and the expertise of the staff go way down at the same time. Again, still a decent place for juice.
My most recent experience is what finally broke my loyalty to them. The details are below, but TL;DR version is that I was advised to buy something for over $120 that wouldn't do what I asked for, then they wouldn't do a refund or even an exchange when I found out on my own that it didn't do what I was told it would.
I had recently needed to replace my MVP VV/VW, and was convinced to go to an SMY35 and that this would let me use the sub-ohm tanks when I was ready to step up to bigger clouds. About a week later, I went in, asked about the sub-ohm tanks, and was convinced to buy an Aspire Atlantis II tank (0.3ohm and 0.5ohm coils included). By the end of the night, after looking around online, I realized that the SMY35 just didn't have the output to handle the 0.3ohm coil, and when I switched to 0.5ohm coil it would only fire for about 50-75 puffs before the SMY35 stopped working. I went in the next day, accepting that the equipment just wouldn't be sufficient, and when I told the salesperson the problem (who acted like this was obvious, and I was silly for even trying, despite the fact that the 2 previous salespeople knew exactly what I had), I asked for something that could do at least 75W of power to handle the 0.3ohm coils, and I wanted something that I could charge by USB cord without removing the batteries, if possible. I was directed to the box mods, all of which were $100+. I immediately noticed that only one had a micro-USB port on it, and came with a USB cable. I discussed it with the salesperson, who basically just shrugged and said that was the only one with USB. Even though it was the one I liked least (and nearly the most expensive on display at the time), I emphasized that it was important enough to me that I would buy it anyway. I got it home, opened up the box, and a card inside tells me that the USB is for connecting to a PC only, not for charging. I went back the next day, but they refused to do anything for me, insisting that the store policy is not to give refunds or exchanges on box mods at all unless the equipment is faulty, and since it does exactly what the manufacturer says (in other words, not charge via USB) I was out of luck.
So look, these guys aren't horrible. SOME of their staff know what they're talking about. SOME of them just want to sell you stuff, and won't admit when they are clueless. At the first hint that the person seems out of their depth, demand to talk to somebody who knows the products. Also, don't spend lots of money there. If you're buying equipment, look online. You can almost certainly get it cheaper, with free shipping. They offer a military discount, but even that won't cover the difference in price. I won't go back, and I won't recommend them. I had many very good encounters there early on, but I can't afford to lose money based on bad advice. If you can, have at. read more
