Pretty good pizza for much better prices than you'll find in most of Venice! I've yet to go somewhere with truly "bad" food, as people complain the island is riddled with bad places to eat, but I have certainly seen the exorbitant prices some places will charge for very average food! I've come twice, once late (10:30pm) and once around noon, and there was a short queue both times that went very quickly. There was only one person working, quickly making all the pizzas and doing checkouts, so that is part of the reason for the line.
The average price of a regular sized pizza is €6.50 and a larger one is about €12, which is quite good. Plus, if you're not that hungry, a slice of pizza will only run you about €2.50. Drinks are also a bit cheaper here than in St. Mark's square. A single serv Bellini is €3.50 (€5 in the square) and a bigger bottle is €10! The first night we had a smaller caprese (mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, bufala, basil) pizza which came out within 7 minutes of being ordered. It's thin and the crust is nice and crisp while the rest of the pizza is perfectly soft. It's pre-cut and easy to eat, just find a place to sit and eat it as there are no seating areas at this place.
My only complaint is that when we went today and order a bigger caprese (I was craving it!), the man working the counter gave us the wrong pizza and we didn't notice until we arrived at our hotel, which was too far to walk all the way back for. Not sure if something was lost in translation or if we were accidentally given someone else's pizza, but I was a bit put off. However, my parents said the pizza was okay, it had artichoke hearts, mushrooms, and prosciutto/or ham of some kind. I 100% recommend the caprese if you go! read more
