Perhaps I thought so because I haven't had a real burger in a while (hashtag living in Germany) but my friend who lives in Nuremberg recommended Mam Mam because she found out about it through expats. After we left, she described this restaurant as "very Berlin" and I have to agree. I ordered the avocado fries out of curiosity and here's what it was: fries...with mushed avocado and tomato on top. I guess normally they would be good for sharing. They also have a lunch deal that includes the drink if you order a specific kind of burger. The lunch deal is also good on Sundays (we asked). Be sure to confirm it on your bill if you go for the lunch deal.

Last time they didn't have seats outside and now there's almost like tiny little kids tables made out of crates to sit on! They're cute! However the table top fits one plate. There is high rise tables on the inside though, so no worries. The guys who have taken our orders spoke really good English so don't worry. I do recommend the chili con carne, you get a lot of meat, I've had the chorizo before and maybe had four little sausage pieces in it, not worth the extra money. If you get spicy, it's not too bad. There's just a little kick, not a whole lot. we will be coming back!! Cannot wait to try other things from their menu!

I'm reviewing after my second visit here. My first time was a few months back and I promise you,…read moreI've thought about this place ever since. I'm pretty sure I'll visit here every time I'm in Nuremberg. The heavy red drapes behind the door catapults you into a dark and moody room that may feel daunting, but soon realize you've entered a welcoming atmosphere. This visit, I was short on time, but wanted to order a few appetizers. I ordered the coconut broth soup with chicken, the scallops on spoon and Sury Dream Mocktail (I cannot remember the names all that well). The soup I found quite delicious, but very rich and I had leftover broth for that reason. The scallops were out of this world. I'm sad there weren't more of it. Next time I'll order two servings. Each scallop was perfectly seasoned and seared. The broth was divine. It was sort of briny and sweet with hints of sesame sauce. Two days later and I'm still thinking of it. Sury Dream mocktail was refreshing. I ordered it before scanning the meal choices. Perhaps not the right drink for my order, but stand alone, it's a brilliant drink.

I was gonna call it "fusion names" lol but there's a fun fact for ya! Your welcome!) Ordered the salmon burrito with their special sauce! Absolutely loved it! And heads up: not bottom wrapped like a burrito... ‍ it will end up on your lap if your not cautious lol

I've travelled the world and had ramen in all corners, and this place ranks within the top 5 places I've tried. It is right next door to a pho place, and they're run together. We had the gyoza (in a sublime drizzled sauce), the beef spring rolls (drizzled in a lite fish sauce), and the Shoyu ramen, with pork base. Everything was amazing and we would come back here in a second if in Nuremberg again. Supremely delicious!

I didn't understand her initially but said no. I guess it would have been too much of a scene to ask us to leave, especially since everyone coming in after us had no reservations. Our order was taken promptly, the food again was high quality and delicious. When time for the check, the staff ignored us for an hour. I sent my children back to the hotel after 20 minutes as it had been a long couple of days of activity and travel. I waited an entire hour for the check after others who had come after me ate, paid and left. I could have left cash but wasn't sure if taxes were required and didn't want to pay too little. I drank 3 carafes of water while being ignored. As it got closer to closing and after I had to use the restroom, the manager/server finally made eye contact so I could request my check. If you are black or brown, DO NOT come here. Yoshoku is very close but was completely full when we went. That food looked just as delicious and I suspect won't come with a healthy serving of racism and disrespect.

The sausages and sauerkraut were packed with flavor. I couldn't stop eating until every bite was gone. The pork shoulder was just as memorable: tender meat that fell off the bone, with a crispy edge I couldn't get enough of. The dumpling was delicious, too. Both dishes paired wonderfully with a beer, shocking, I know! Also, the table service mustard which is so yum!! I'll be dreaming about that pork shoulder for a long time.

The bratwurst was delicious: savory and flavorful. It had a slight char on the outside, and juicy inside. The roll was just as good. The crust was crisp and and inside was soft and pillowy. I especially liked eating it with sauerkraut which balances out the balance out the grease and heaviness of the bratwurst. There's also service was slow as we learned throughout our trip. It's just the norm so don't expect any quick service. Overall, we enjoyed our food very much and would love to go back to try out other items on their menu if we ever end up in Nuremberg in the future.
