First let's call it by its rightful name: Polse ("pool-seh") translates to sausage, but what it really signifies here is hot dog. Copenhagen, like New York City, is a great street-dog town. Now, let's talk about the variety: bacon hot dog, veggie, Umami, pork, roasted hot dog Then, the toppings: chopped onions, fried onions, mustard, mayo, ketchup, cucumbers Where to find it? Metro stations, street, kiosks. My friends, do you want to see a happy tourist.. the one with a mustard ketchup mustache, dripping down the chin! This little kiosk serves the most delicious hot dogs and vegan is on the menu! The staff are sweet and personable. They take the hot dog business very seriously, as they should! "Hanegal refers to a Copenhagen-based food company specializing in organic products, and it is also the name of a specific organic hot dog stand (often associated with DØP) located at Købmagergade 52A, Rehlat. The bread is whole grain, from slowly raised dough and topped with linseeds. Hanegal sausages are a key ingredient in DØP's gourmet organic hot dogs, which are sold from stands near the Round Tower and Church of the Holy Ghost. " Once you've tried a Danish hot dog, there is NO going back! To get there: Hop a flight to Denmark Take Metro, M2 yellow line to Norreport. Find Round tower and cart is right outside.

After a long day including dropping off a rental car, barely making the train in Aarhus, and a…read moretrain delay we were really tired and though we were trying to find somewhere local knew McDonalds would be the fastest and the portions not too large. I was excited to try some of the odd Danish specials and in my head didn't want to default to a low review just because it was fast food. However, the reason for the low review is the people and the food. This location is 24 hours, there was a huge gang of teenagers outside smoking and getting rowdy on Friday night. Inside, you order at kiosks and the eating area is upstairs. When we first went up it was fine but after a couple minutes more teens started coming up. Worst thing is I was with 2 small kids and they were up there vaping indoors and acting like asses, my kids were horrified. Hamburger with bernaise: Excited to try but when I got it most of the bernaise was on the outside of the burger and not inside. Pink french fries: Got this to try something special but they were normal fries. Nobody working there said anything. Pink sprite: Tasted OK but very artificial. The kids did like the chicken nuggets and said they could tell they were a little different than the ones in the US.

Food doesn't taste the same like what we have in Indonesia. Fair enough that they don't have the menu we have in Indonesia - knowing KFC is very unpopular compared to McDonalds (WHY? WHY? As for the chicken salsa cheese, it was essentially a McChicken sandwich with some salsa. It was different, but not bad and not great. On the other hand, I seriously loved the waffle pomme frites --wow! Definitely upgrade the fries to waffle ones, which is also peppered. It was so crunchy and crispy with a lovely peppery flavor.
