Lovely balloons and a fine experience.
Thank you Marie, and…read morestaff.
Memo Balloons, located downtown, in the Financial District, near Wall Street, INSIDE AN OFFICE BUILDING, so you will not see a street level shop. All worked out fine.
I was putting together a small neighborhood THANK YOU FOR YOUR YEARS OF SERVICE-HAPPY RETIREMENT gathering, outside, on a Manhattan Street, in front of The UPS store, since our small celebration was for our BELOVED UPS DRIVER/DELIVERY PERSON. To wish him well after 33 years of service!!! We love him!! And appreciate him so much.
MEMO BALLOONS WAS ABLE TO WORK WITHIN MY BUDGET, which was little. I was paying. I did not ask people to chip in. I just wanted to do it without asking anyone for money.
I truly am grateful to MEMO BALLOONS for working within my budget, and putting together a lovely bunch of balloons. And, the balloons were in a white plastic bag with "breathing holes" for the balloons, so I was able to get them uptown. **see my note below, if you are picking up. Allow extra time due to public transportation AND traffic.
A BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET OF 6 silver and gold balloons, tied together, with a weight, so the lovely balloons could have a better chance of remaining on the sidewalk. It was great.
We were a small group, and our beloved UPS driver was able to take the balloons home to enjoy with his family. I put them back into the white bag, and he put them in his car's back seat.
I would definitely use MEMO BALLOONS AGAIN. :). THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
**NOTE-If you are picking up, allow extra time for the wacky unexpected experience of street traffic and public transportation. Glad I did, b/c, Since I was picking up about 2:30pm, on a weekday, I figured I could manage taking the subway #5 (express) train back uptown. All was fine until 14th street, when someone HELD THE SUBWAY TRAIN DOOR OPEN, announcements of "Don't Hold the Door" etc, went on for literally about a full minute or so, with the train operator trying to close the doors, so we could continue on our way. The train was packed. Well, the TRAIN DOOR WAS NOW BROKEN!!!! And the train was taken out of service!!! So we all had to get off the train. Now the platform was packed!! I decided to get out of the subway and take a cab. GRATEFUL I HAD ALLOWED A FEW HOURS SAFETY CUSHION OF TIME. I RARELY DO THAT!! But, woweee, I'm so glad I did. My "event" was important to me and those involved so I did not want to take any chances. So, lesson learned about the importance of allowing some EXTRA TIME. (And to all those who normally do that, I applaud you! LOL). See my photos.
