My oldest daughter went there and also my youngest. Every room has security cameras, finger prints to open door and the outside play area is divided for different age group. Both of my kids went there for few years and let me assure you that my experience with them was great. Can't THANK them enough. I work long hours and never worried to call and check on them and that's because I knew that they were in good hands. My kids were happy and they learned so much with their teachers. Didn't worry to pack their lunch or snacks and that's because at KIDDIE ACADEMY they provide all They email your child's pictures/videos at least twice a day, and a summary of your child's daily activities/goals. We were clearly miserable and I do believe she could have done more to rectify our experience. $25 was a rip off. Ive never seen a ymca in such disarray and we are frequent visitors at other locataions. The pool and clutter around it was hazardess. Would not recommend this YMCA for a safe swim for children and families. Lifeguards should not be on their phones or daydreaming at the ceiling. The young lifeguard with the auburn/red ponytail should be spoken to and re trained.

From early on my children were getting hugs and affection from the teachers which made me feel great every time I dropped off. My children received an excellent preschool education there - and grew tremendously both socially and academically. Both of them have made amazing friendships with students and connections with teachers. Highlights for my children have been the home cooked lunches and healthy snacks, outdoor play time, thematic play based units, exposure to different languages and cultures, tinkering table, plays and performances, and classroom jobs. Ina and Mark, the directors, know each child and family personally and create a wonderful space for children to learn and play. Now my little one is being nurtured by the most wonderful toddler teachers (there is no one better than Miss Tina!) and I'm amazed at her growth already in just a short time in the class (2 weeks ago, she wouldn't let go of my fingers and now she is full-on running, yikes!). Management has seen a lot of turnover (there have been 5 different directors since 2015), as is seen in the industry sometimes, but we are so happy with the addition of Kaitlyn and Amy this year - they are so warm and inviting with the kids (and comforting presences for jittery parents). In these strange times especially, you need a comforting, safe environment for your little ones, and Kindercare has provided that for our family. We love that they use an app to update parents with pictures and daily schedules - since we can't be in the classroom, it's our only window to their day and I live for those pictures!

Making the decision to send your child(ren) to daycare is hard…read more Being a first time parent, deciding to send your children to daycare in the middle of a global pandemic is HARD. From my first time in the center in February Latoya and Jessie were welcoming, kind, and reassuring. I was just returning to work following maternity leave and was not sure I was making the right decision for my daughters. They answered all of my questions and provided the direction I needed to feel confident in my choice. Fast forward four months to when my daughters were ready to start at the center. The team went above and beyond to make our family comfortable. Every day since our first day they continue to exceed our expectations with guidance, compassion, providing resources and acting as a sounding board. My daughters were born 6 weeks premature. It is common to adjust for prematurity when measuring children against developmental milestones. I am pleased to say that at our recent 15 month appointment our pediatrician found our daughters to be developing appropriately without adjustment. I attribute so much of that to the time they have spent with Latoya, Jessie and Latara at TLE. I am excited for my daughters to have new adventures in the Toddler Room and wanted to recognize this team for the superb work they have done during this challenging time.

My son struggles with some social emotional skills in especially new environments and as a first-time parent I am still learning and navigating my new life as a mother. However, I feel that Latoya could've done a better job as a director in immediately providing me with strategics and possible solutions on the situation rather than making me feel like a failure as a parent. Not even a hour after dropping of my son, I received a rushed call to pick my son up. When I got there, I had asked Latoya if I could speak to her privately about my son to which she stated he had to be present. I disagreed because it is inappropriate and unprofessional and yet she still protested against my request until she finally gave in. Once we were in a private room, her attitude and demeanor changed to a judgmental, insensitive and unprofessional woman. I felt belittled and disrespected on so many levels because I feel like if she had a calmer, collected, empathic and understanding first initial approach with me things wouldn't have escalated the way it did. She raised her voice on multiple occasions and even raised her finger to point at me which I found offensive. She falsely accused me of justifying my son's behavior without understanding that he may have mental health disorder that prevent him from expressing his words correctly to strangers he does not yet know well . She failed to comprehend that as a mother I am my sons biggest and only advocate and was trying to understand what was going on. My encounter with her has been the worse experience ever. I am quite shocked myself because everything was so good and smooth in the beginning. Overall, I feel like the situation could've been handled better by expressing empathy, patience and professionalism with a calm and collected tone of voice. In the end, you have to be sensitive and gentle with people because you don't really know what's going on in their lives and it's not okay to belittle others. I wish she would've provided alternative solutions and other options rather than guilt tripping me. When I emailed her stating I was leaving a negative review, she quickly stated she had all this information and informative resources that will better assist me on my situation. However, I've been waiting ever since, and she continues to neglect the matter. Luckily, I found a backup plan and have a strong support system and all the resources I need. The learning Experience definitely lacks well trained staff members and could benefit more with additional training and a stronger resourceful leader who isn't riding a high horse.

These included issues around bathroom privacy supervision, a classmate's aggressive and inappropriate language, and physical incidents that ultimately led us to withdraw both of our children. We escalated these concerns multiple times through emails, in-person conversations, and meetings with both teachers and leadership over many months. During this period, the classroom had a constant rotation of staff, with many different teachers covering the class. The lack of consistency was noticeable and directly impacted supervision and overall care. What ultimately drove our decision was not just the incidents themselves, but the pattern in how they were handled by leadership. Despite repeated escalation, we did not see meaningful follow-through. Issues we raised continued to arise, and we did not observe clear, lasting changes being put in place. Some of the responses we received minimized the seriousness of the concerns rather than addressing them head-on. When you are trusting a center with your children, that kind of response is deeply concerning and, in our view, unacceptable. Our experience started off positively, with several caring and dedicated teachers. However, over time we saw a clear decline in consistency, communication, and how more serious concerns were managed. By the end, we no longer felt comfortable keeping our children enrolled. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this center and would encourage families to look closely at other options.
