My daughter went to DreamStation for about a year and they did a great taking care of my child and being respectful of our choices (cloth diapering, healthy foods, breastmilk). We did have some conflict about breastfeeding but eventually they complied with state law and allowed me to feed my child in the room before leaving for the day.
For our second baby, we were put on a waiting list but had to make other arrangements because the wait was so long that she aged out. Infant care is extremely expensive to provide due to state-mandated ratios, so I think many places in our area do not bother to offer it, or have only a few spots. I don't think having a long waiting list is a reason to say a particular daycare is terrible, though, because they are all in the same boat. I am pretty confident the waiting list is fair and unrelated to religion or special circumstances (other than younger siblings, which are ahead on the list), it's just a reality of the costs in our area. read more
