First things first - Crawford's Is simply the best place for breakfast in the Plymouth area. Prices are reasonable and the breakfast is top-notch quality - there is nothing in Plymouth that can even remotely compare. Service is always friendly and they're usually fast and efficient. They are also dog-friendly and will allow you to bring your dog into the outdoor patio if it's well behaved, and they usually bring out a bowl of water & a couple of dog treats. That said word of advice - If you choose to eat outdoors in the warmer months be prepared to deal with an unruly bunch of European yellow jackets. They are all over and staff is apparently not able to rectify the situation and remove their source. There is clearly a nest somewhere nearby and it should be removed. Hopefully they'll deal with it someday. Indoors is pretty small and cramped and in the colder months it fills up pretty quick with wait times, so plan accordingly. read more

Always incredible and fresh! This is the best place for breakfast and brunch in Plymouth! My favorite is their veggie skillet. The portions are heaping, and the quality is to die for!! LOVE! I've been frequenting the breakfast joints around Plymouth for around two years. And Crawford's is the place I return to again and again. For breakfast/brunch places the litmus test is always the Benedict. So many ways to screw it up; so tricky to get it "just right". I've tried other things on the menu but end up with the buttery-savory-slightly tangy (lemons!) on my plate every time. I've had Benedict just about everywhere but Crawford's comes out on top, every time. Other highlights include the small cafe feel, prompt and friendly service, fair prices, to-die-for Stuffed French Toast, and a great location. But try the Benedict. As someone who works in the restaurant industry as a server, I can say that I've never had a worse experience with serving staff in regards to Crawford's waitstaff. The way that they handled this situation was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I have enjoyed this restaurant on many occasions, and as this was our only day off together, and we were attending a funeral later, we thought that it would be a nice treat to cheer us up. Unfortunately, this Sunday when we arrived for breakfast, we had a very offsetting and embarrassing experience. When we were greeted at the host stand (it was outside), I was smoking a COMPLETELY LEGAL HEMP cigarette. We were able to get a table right away inside, so I went by the cigarette butt ash tray to finish up while my boyfriend was seated. A few minutes later, my boyfriend came back outside to find me, obviously very upset by something. He then told me that a server had told numerous individuals working in the restaurant that I was actively smoking weed on their patio, and that they were going to report me to the authorities. I have never had a more embarrassing moment in public. The entire restaurant (the inside of Crawford's is TINY) overheard this conversation between the servers and the owner, and was staring at me as I walked in to inform the owner of what I was actually smoking. When I confronted the owner, she apologized for her staff, but the damage was already done, and we both felt WAY to uncomfortable to enjoy a meal in her restaurant. THE WHOLE TIME THAT THIS WAS OCCURRING THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT WAS WATCHING. So we left. But on top of everything, I forgot my wallet and phone because I was so upset, and had to walk back to the restaurant to retrieve it. The owner apologized once more, this time in front of the people on the patio. Who of course were watching this display. I walked away as fast as I could after that. It wasn't the owners fault, but she should consider more carefully the people that she hires to serve. Because the server who assumed all of this, completely ruined our day. Crawford's was a great find. My cousin was visiting from Chicago and we wanted to give her a taste of a non chain restaurant in the area. The patio is amazing. The waitresses sat us immediately and although it was busy, the waitress were fast and checked on our table often. The food was priced very reasonably and the portions were generous. I ordered the southwestern omelette that came with grilled potatoes and toast. My boyfriend ordered one of the skillets and it was HUGE and the eggs were cooked perfectly over medium. I will definitely be going back to this little diner because there were numerous other breakfasts I wanted to try. They also had home made lemonade that my cousin enjoyed. read more

Nothing great. I had a chicken salad wrap that was very mediocre - it needed something like salt or pepper or some kind of seasoning. It wasn't terrible, just nothing special. I liked the potato salad but had to send the coleslaw back because it was mushy and just kind of nasty. Service was awful. Waitress refused to acknowledge us, threw the menus on the table without saying anything and then walked away. At that point, I was ready to leave but my husband wanted to try the eggs Benedict, which he did enjoy. We had a nice, very young waiter, but he took forever to check on us and give us our bill. Still, we were glad we didn't have to deal with the rude waitress. We don't live close by so wouldn't make a special trip to return. Lots of other options in Plymouth. read more

THANK YOU YELP (and Yelpers)! I have driven past this place a million times going to Liberty Street Brewing Company. Only due to you people did I find and try this wonderful Mom & Pop joint. I hate having to drive all the way to Ypsi to get some decent breakfast these days. There are lots of coney islands but they are all the same - nothing interesting, and most not even a good value anymore (am I getting old?). The fresh fruit actually was fresh fruit. Don't laugh. I'm serious. My skillet was awesome. Home made corned beef hash with sweet red peppers. F-yeah. I am pretty sure my whole party of 4 would chime in with similar vigor. Minus 1 star for weak-ass Depression-era coffee. A nice place like this needs three pots: Decaf, Regular, and Real Coffee. read more

Recently met colleagues here for an early morning work breakfast. I ordered the Spartan Omelet and fruit cup. The omelet was fluffy, tasty and an appropriate portion size. The fresh fruit was flavorful. Coffee was good. Staff was friendly and available. There is an outside patio area for good weather dining. One of my concerns is the inside, is it cramped. Very cramped. At least one table should be removed. Can't imagine what would happen in an emergency. The other concern is the lack of the ability to provide a proper business receipt for payment. My sister and I were in town for a bridal shower and googled a breakfast spot on the way to the airport. This was one of many choices that came up. We really enjoyed the food. Everything was delicious! We had the Tuscan Quiche and the Railroad Omelette both served with the potatoes; along with really delicious coffee. Decided to try a different spot for breakfast early this Sunday morning while heading into the Motor City. I was thrilled to find this well regarded (by Yelp) independent nestled in a quiet, tree-lined residential neighborhood of the historic village of Plymouth, Michigan. I chose to sit outside on the patio along with the 14 other patrons who arrived within minutes of the 8:00 am opening of the restaurant. I have always found early arriving customers to be a good sign of a popular breakfast spot. Crawford's Kitchen offers a full range of omelettes including a "Build Your Own" option. I jumped for the Classic Western and found it to be excellent. It was built with generous chunks of diced ham, mixed cheese, sweet bell peppers and diced onions. An English muffin on the side was a nice alternative to toast although i admit I gave some thought to their raisin bread toast option before finalizing my order. A solid breakfast/brunch slot in Plymouth. I really enjoy the skillet dishes and omelets. I once had a savory crepe that was still very cold in the center, so that was not a hit with me. Coffee is fine, but not remarkable. The staff are very quick and friendly. The seating is very sunny with some adorable retro furnishings. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I came here for the second time with my boyfriend for breakfast, and once again the food was wonderful and so was the service. It's a tiny place but so cozy, and you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. The waitresses were really sweet, and the food is all made fresh by the owner. I had the Tuscan skillet with fresh artichokes and sun dried tomatoes, and my boyfriend got a blueberry stuffed French toast that was awesome. The waitresses were attentive without being pushy and did a great job. The owner's wife even came out at the end of our meal to see how everything was, which was a really nice touch. This place is sublime. You could easily drive by Crawfords without giving it a second glance, but don't - you'll be missing out. It's a super cute little breakfast & lunch spot in the heart of Plymouth's Old Village. I'm in luck because I can pretty much see the building out my front door, so that makes the convience a plus. But, I wish I worked nearby so I could make this a frequent lunch stop. They have a really robust, unique menu of salads, soups, wraps, sandwiches and sides (you must try the homemade potato chips!). The grilled cheese is pretty amazing if you're in the mood for some comfort food, and their homeade dressings are really delish. read more

Crawford's Kitchen is quiet and quaint. The restaurant sits nonchalantly within the residential area an nice but older section Plymouth. It's a family owned establish ran by a husband and wife who personally do the cooking. I highly, highly.recommend the Cobb Salad...It's a delicious homerun! & You would seriously be doing yourself an injustice if you pass on the FRESH BAKED ROLL. Can you say YUM!?!?! I wanted to like this place so much! The patio is so inviting in the spring/summer and the inside is vintage and quaint-- feels like it hasn't changed since 1970. But unfortunately both times I've been, the food has been average at best. I came once for bfast and had an omelette-- it was overcooked and had little flavor. The hostess was outside, but with no clear indicator and two doors, we walked inside and it took close to 5 minutes for us to speak to the hostess. Went here today with a friend for breakfast. Patio was open for the first day they were busy as they usually are on the weekends but we were able to get a table for two pretty quickly. The restaurant was very clean. That's the last good thing I can say about the experience. Ordered a build your own omelette with a side of fruit and slice tomatoes and three blueberry pancakes with a side of crisp bacon, coffee and an orange juice. Waited 20 minutes to bring the food out, no big deal I don't really care how long I wait for food if it comes out good. When they brought it there were only two pancakes. The person that brought the food out was not our server and he said we're waiting on one more pancake. Don't know why if you've had a 20 minute ticket time anyway on an omelette and pancakes that you wouldn't have just waited a couple more minutes but anyway. Started eating the pancakes that were over done on the outside but when I got to almost the middle the blueberries were sitting in batter, total uncooked batter. Server never checked back in with us so I couldn't tell her about it. When the young man bringing the food out came back with my one missing pancake that was burnt nearly as dark as the black wrought iron table I pointed it out to him he could clearly see they were raw. He offered to get me more, which I declined because I'd already been here 40 minutes and hadn't had anything but bacon. He asked me if I wanted the one pancake anyway I said no it's burnt. Then the best part came, they brought the check which was hand written, the original total was $31 and some change. The server crossed it out put a new total of $24, It wasn't that difficult to do the math in my head it was supposed to be $17 and some change. When the waitress returned to take the check up my friend looked at her and said the bill is wrong, to which the server responded in a snarky tone "what's wrong with it?". I proceeded to go through the math with her and my friend interjected and said why don't you take that back to the register and figure it out. She huffed off returning with the check about five minutes later handing it to us saying it was $17 and some change. So she just padded our bill by seven dollars, and whether it was a mistake or deliberate, she didn't feel the need to say I'm sorry. read more

Last week I ordered carry out from Crawford's Kitchen. Ordered a non traditional breakfast, which was missing the fruit that comes with it. They also did not substitute my hash browns for tomato slices. I had to go back and get the order fixed, which they did. I am very easy going, so I figured I would give them another chance. Today I ordered the same thing, remembering last week I checked the order, they missed the fruit again. There was maybe four tables seated, so it was not hectic to miss that item. Once I got home, I noticed a hair in my eggs (picture attached). I am completely disgusted and I will never eat here again. IF you go here, make sure to ALWAYS check you food! read more

The food was not seasoned at all and when I requested a "sausage egg and cheese sandwich" Izzy the waitress said they don't do "off menu" items. -_____- what? I had an omelet. with feta cheese and ham and it was the perfect size and perfectly cooked. You get a choice of fresh fruit or hash browns and their cinnamon raisin toast was insanely good.
