It also covered the issue of all of our own mortalities and raised the discussion on euthanasia, it moved me to tears. From the death of the protagonist a charity called Debra was born. DEBRA is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) - a painful genetic condition which causes the skin to blister and shear at the slightest friction, or even spontaneously. DEBRA focuses its work in three areas: * They fund pioneering research to find effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for EB. * They provide an enhanced specialist EB Nursing Service, in partnership with the NHS, to deliver optimal healthcare to children and adults living with EB. * They provide social care support to help people live with dignity. This is a service parents and people with EB can call on, to reach out for advice, advocacy in the face of red tape, and emergency grants. Please shop at Debra, it is an incredibly worth cause and this store has a great selection of goods.

This is probably because it's closer to where I live. As well as this, Debra helps people in the UK with a genetic skin blistering condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) from the very first time I walked in the staff have given a warm welcome. This isn't necessarily a place for young generations but it's great if you want to find a bargain. They sell typical charity shop products such as clothes, books, DVDs, board games and if you're really lucky you might find a piece of unwanted designer wear! From speaking to the staff I understand a lot of clothing is simply thrown out because they can't re-sell it, which is a shame. So maybe they can recycle them or the person giving the items away can recycle an item that can't be sold.

The store was fairly clean/modern and the product range was satisfactory. The staff were also pretty friendly, although I did find it slightly difficult to find a staff member on the shop floor. (COVID precautions?) I was unable to get a mobile signal around the store, which rendered their mobile scanning option useless, strangely I did not have issues elsewhere in Solihull, so perhaps there is some sort of interference within the store which will hopefully be reviewed, although based on previous reviews this seems to have been an issue for some time, even back in 2016 - Come on Waitrose! 4* - One of the best supermarkets in town, and a great addition to the town centre.

Decided to take advantage of Waitrose's 2 hours free parking and a free latte which can be claimed daily by My Waitrose members. This Waitrose is super good as it has a sushi counter - all freshly made in front of you, and a lovely cafe with some outdoor seating which is under a canopy. It is a pleasant store with plenty of space and a good range of items, particularly for party means, barbecues etc. The basic food I needed cost me more than elsewhere but overall it was a great experience and very convenient so I'll be back soon.

I didn't feel comfortable buying the fruit and vegetables as they are left in a box on the table outside, which probably give it easy access for flies. However they sell a good range of products for the Asian cuisine and have a halal butchers at the back but it would help if the the staff spoke good English!! Bottom line is I probably wouldn't buy anything that was kept outside, from here but I wouldn't mind buying the packaged goods because it's good quality and good value for money.

As a vegan that cooks most meals from fresh, I find it useful that they have such a wide variety of ingredients, rather than pre-pack meals. I try to ignore the meat counter at the back, as it freaks me out, but if you happen to be Muslim, I guess it's handy as it's Halal meat. The main thing about this place is the people that work there. They are so friendly, polite and always willing to help. They also make you feel welcome, which certainly doesn't happen in the Co-Op opposite! You might not be able to find everything you need in there, but for bits and pieces and if you enjoy cooking and Asian cuisine, then this is the place for you. Prices are pretty reasonable too!

I purchased my gown in August 2024, and the alterations--specifically around the bust--were carried out between July and September 2025 by Barbara Aranguiz of Aranguiz London, as recommended by the shop. I picked up the dress on September 10 with the understanding that all alterations had been completed to the specifications agreed with Barbara, which included securely sewing in bra cups. However, I only discovered on the morning of my wedding that the cups had been merely tacked in rather than properly sewn, resulting in a noticeably gaping fit in person and in my photos. I returned to the shop on September 15, the first business day after my wedding, to address the issue. The process was frustrating--I felt brushed off by staff, particularly the manager and owner, who did not seem to take my concerns seriously or work to resolve the matter promptly. It took multiple calls and several visits before I finally received a refund for the alteration work. During this process, I spoke directly with Barbara, who acknowledged to me that the cups had not been sewn in properly. This situation caused a great deal of unnecessary stress and disappointment during what should have been a joyful and memorable time. Given the cost and significance of a wedding gown, I expected much better quality, professionalism, and care. I would strongly caution other brides to look elsewhere for alterations.

Not surprised since they're a bunch of pensioners doing this as a side gig and are being paid cash in hand. ALTERATIONS = DAMAGING of gorgeous dresses. The seamstress they are working with, Barbara, hasn't got a clue about anything. She is not even using a measuring tape... if you want to avoid VERY UNPLEASANT surprises with the most important item of your day don't go there. Every time I flagged a fault the reply was :"don't worry, babe, it gets sorted once pressed" there was simply no talking to her. Feel so gutted with the whole thing... my wedding is next week and I need to find a way to sort things out. What I bought as a £1500 brand new dress, now looks like something from a charity shop.

Well, since I've got three kids I've been dragged round this place more than I care to remember. First I thought (as the marketing would suggest) that this was *the* place to get the stuff for your sprogs. Well yes, that's correct, but only if you want to have to mortgage your house to afford it all. Turns out that that's just owning kids, nothing to do with this place. However, there's always someplace cheaper that you can get things from when it comes to bringing up kids; charity shops and places like International Stock in Kings Heath usually have Mothercare or Early Learning Centre stuff for half the price, so I tend to go there first before parting with the cash here. However, if you really need a new mattress for the cot because the old one's just got covered in what looks like Cream of Sweetcorn, then this is your place. Just be prepared for three figures before the decimal point when you get to the till. Oh, and there's a Boots round the corner (not much cheaper) and a babies section in the Toys R Us not too far away. Get your phone out and start comparing!
