Alex did all our paperwork to set us up, and she did a great job staying on top of things and calling us when we were approved in the system so we knew we could set up our first appointments. We've been for covid tests, general check ups, and ENT specialty referrals - we can't say enough great things about the staff there. Some things to note now: When you arrive, you need to call them when you're in the lobby of the building- you're not allowed to be in the lobby of their actual doctor office. Covid tests are done in a completely separate area than the Dr. office. Results for those tests are available within about 15 minutes - after a covid test, you have to wait in the lobby until results are provided before you can proceed with the rest of your dr. apt. Overall - very happy for our switch and for the support this office provides!

I appreciated that very much. The results were uploaded to MyChart within the hour. Very efficient and nice people. Because I went in within 2 hours of my appointment, the insurance had not approved my test. They waited until the last minute to see If it would be approved and gave me the option to pay out of pocket or reschedule. I didn't have time or want to risk having a problem, so unpaid out of pocket and will working out with my insurance. They were very upfront about it and I liked having the option.

I used to work in healthcare. I know emergency rooms are stressful, unpredictable places. That said, I was put on a bed in the hallway for my entire visit. No room. No curtain. No privacy. No TV. Just me, my migraine, and the hallway. Even the ER at RWJ Somerset gave me my own little curtained-off area with a TV. I never thought I would find myself nostalgically reminiscing about an ER curtain, but here we are. I was given medication through an IV that did help my migraine, but it also made me extremely jittery -- to the point that after I was discharged, I was having a very difficult time functioning normally. Obviously, I understand that medications can have side effects. What bothered me more was how little support I felt I received around it. The interaction with the doctor was also unnecessarily unpleasant. I asked, very politely, "Can I have a head CT?" His response was: "I just said that." Listen. I know patients can be difficult. I know healthcare workers get tired, overwhelmed, and frustrated. I've worked in healthcare myself. But I wasn't yelling, demanding anything, or being disrespectful. I was sick, scared, and asking an innocent question nicely. There was absolutely no reason to speak to me that way. After I got home, the jitteriness was still significant, so I called the ER hoping to ask whether there was anything over-the-counter I could take or whether a prescription could be called in to help with the reaction. No one answered the phone. So, in summary: impressively short wait, hallway accommodations, zero privacy, medication that left me feeling worse in an entirely new and exciting way, a rude interaction with the physician, and then no one available when I called for guidance afterward. Hopefully there won't be a next time. But if there is, I'll be going to Cooperman in Livingston instead. One star for getting me in quickly. In conversations before the bris, I knew that my friend was nervous about the process, the ceremony, and the actual circumcision. I can say with confidence that Dr. Rumbak put the family's mind at ease both with her expertise and her gentle approach. As a "spectator" at the ceremony, Dr. Rumbak passed around sheets so we can all follow along and feel part of the ceremony, and explained what different blessings meant. She also added some Jewish text in a modern and relevant way, which I appreciated, and my family continued to discuss post ceremony. The sweet baby did super well and was calm throughout the entire process. Truthfully, I didn't even know when the actual circumcision actually happened because she was so gentle and discrete. At the end of the ceremony, many people went up to Dr. Rumbak to compliment her on one of the best brit mila's they ever went to, and many asked for her card (including my mom for our temple!). She has a great business partner in Shachar, who socialized with the guests of the ceremony, kept everything organized, and was just an all around stand up guy. Oh, and how great that she is a mohel AND a doctor. Talk about putting your mind at ease..that will definitely do it. Highly recommend.

Would have loved so much to give a glowing review of Dr. Rumbak but unfortunately we look back on…read morethe day of my son's bris and what transpired after with a lot of sadness. Dr. Rumbak deserves credit and thanks for her discretion in not circumcising our son the day of his bris due to a urological condition she noticed in her ore-ceremony examination. We are thankful for that. She performed what essentially worked out to a baby naming ceremony for us. Obviously the day was emotional to begin with and the news she couldn't circumcise was extremely disappointing and heartbreaking since this was a day we looked forward to for so long. In the days after the bris we were able to absorb the events better and realized exactly what happened. To begin with, my wife asked for a program to keep as they were being collected (yes, collected), and the response was, "I collect them." She said the same to my mom (baby's grandma). We consider this ridiculous - even if the baby's grandparents couldn't have one, at least the parents should. When I emailed Dr. Rumbak about the issue I'm about to describe, I also mentioned the program and that part of my email was left unaddressed. Here's the major problem, though. We paid $800 for a circumcision plus $150 for travel from Manhattan to Nassau. We were happy to do this because we really liked Dr. Rumbak on the phone. However, after the bris, we had a bit of a realization that really irked us. Why were we never offered any kind of refund for the circumcision not being performed? It really should have been offered that day, on the spot, but it wasn't. Days and weeks turned to months and we still were never offered anything. We didn't even get an email or phone call to check on our son given the medical issue Dr. Rumbak identified. This was surprising given the emotional nature of the day but also because part of Dr. Rumbak's service (advertised on her web site and vouched for in her reviews) is her frequent follow up with the family. Finally after a few months, I emailed her explaining we feel we are owed some kind of refund due to the most critical part of the ceremony, the circumcision, not being performed. It is that expertise for which we paid. Dr. Rumbak issued a $200 refund, saying that the rate for a baby naming is $600. It's unfortunate such a beautiful day was soured by the experience we had. As new parents we feel we were, in a way, taken advantage of. Dr. Rumbak did ultimately give some money back, but we feel we shouldn't have had to ask. Experiences like this are what make people cynical about organized religion. The right thing to do would have been to give us a refund without us having to ask. We would not recommend her.
