Wesley and his crew at Community Tree Service were fantastic. They texted ahead with their arrival…read moretime, showed up on schedule, and got right to work. Communication was excellent from start to finish. They trimmed and shaped two 40-foot trees and did a beautiful job. The trees look so much healthier, lighter, and more open now. Dead branches were removed and everything was shaped in a way that kept the natural character of the trees. What stood out most was how well the crew worked together--they seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do, and it showed. Cleanup was quick and thorough and they left the yard spotless, without a trace of the work. Very happy with the results, the price and would definitely recommend CTS.

Community Tree Service was hired to remove a over 100 ft Douglas fir on the adjacent property of…read moreours. The crew cutting the tree down did a great job, the trouble began when one of our neighbors not involved in the tree project, requested that three large logs be left behind so that he could Mill them for boards. (The attached photograph is the remains of the Milling, left spread across the road and across our driveway.) Request have been made to the neighbor who did the Milling, to clean up the mess, have gone unresponded (apparently since he can't see it from his front door it's not a problem ...) After failing to get a commitment from the neighbor who milled the wood to clean up the mess, my 68-year-old wife went out and swept up the driveway so we could drive out. I contacted Salvador at Community Tree Service and made a complaint about the mess that was left behind after a few conversations by email he assured me and his crew would come out here and clean up this mess and he apologized for any inconvenience caused by this experience . That promise was made to me 30 days ago and I'm still looking at this mess in my driveway. When we were first contacted by CUA, about this project, ( almost a year before it started) we were instructed, to be sure that all of the wood is picked up after the cutting is done, because according to CUA Community Tree Service has a reputation of leaving wood behind on projects, and not completely cleaning up their messes. If you are unfortunate enough to be forced to have Community Tree Services do work on adjacent property of yours be sure to insist that they remove all of the downed wood.

Jorje was great, he told me he would chip it all when he got here. He did just that and did a great job trimming our trees. I had asked him to trim a lot and a month had gone by from our quote (fire season the trimmers were booked out), he remembered everything we talked about and did a great job creating our defensible space to keep our family and house safe. Our whole street uses him. My neighbor had a giant tree taken down by them. My other neighbor has him out multiple times a year to trim a heavily wooded area backing up to our neighborhood canyon. They like him so much they stopped by to say hi to him and his crew when he was trimming our trees. I have used a few other trimmers in the area who have been great. However, when you call them a 2nd time their quotes double. Jorje is honest and consistent with his work and price. We all talk about the Carmel mark-up, whenever people come to Carmel they always mark-up the price when you compare it to your friend in Seaside or Marina. He doesn't do that. He is consistent across the Peninsula. When he was in the neighborhood at my neighbor's house I took down a large branch myself and asked him if he would swing by and chip it for me. He cleaned up my unprofessional cut, chipped up my limb, and blew away the mess for me on his way out after a full day of work at my neighbors. Not many businesses in this area know what true customer service is, he does, and that's why we all use him as our trimmer.

When they were done, they just blew their debris into my planters, left my hose blocking a door, and didn't bother to clean their debris off my driveway. They also moved large boxes and trash cans away from the gate they wanted to use, into the middle my driveway, and didn't bother to move them back, making parking impossible. I guess if you're not paying them any money they don't give a rip about leaving a time consuming mess behind for you to clean up.

I had rear gutters put on my little house in Seaside - not a big job, but as always it's important…read moreto finish off the details nicely. Which they did! Lepe's was recommended to me by my wonderful roofers (Slaten and Sons) who no longer do gutters and have forwarded all their business to Lepe's. I was grateful to have the recommendation. Their office manager, Iris, is a doll and very helpful getting the estimate and install arranged. I ended up having to take a final while they were doing the install (thank you, prof, for that one) but the guys got the work done with very little disturbance. We did have a few minor snags with timing, which I've come to expect with busy contractors completing multiple jobs in a day. Usually it's easier to nail the timing with early morning appts, but since I am in the field in the mornings, only afternoons work. I'm grateful they were able to work around my weird schedule and were super nice about the adjustments. Word to the wise - when Iris puts the appointment in Calendar, this is the time *after* which the appointment will start, not the time that it *will* start. So, my 12N appt actually started at around 2pm. But they finished by sundown and it looks great, so no worries. Also, for those of you on one-way streets or with limited street parking - the guys come with a trailer that needs to be plugged in to operate the gutter cutter, so they need room to park. In my case, they took the trailer back to the shop and manually cut the gutters to fit on the sidewalk because there wasn't enough street parking space for them to work. It was a little tricky, but I so appreciate their extra efforts. The final result is lovely. They matched the color of the new front gutters that I already had and placed the downspouts so that they'd be least obtrustive while moving water away from the house. And the price was right! No haggling, very reasonable, detailed invoice that didn't change from start to finish. I had read another 2022 review that said that they don't take credit cards, but they do now (2023) with a surcharge. I paid via check though and that was easy after getting an invoice emailed to me the same day. Overall, I would totally recommend Lepe's. Great work, guys!

I called and left voicemails to several companies the day before and Tom's was the only one to return my call the next day. I spoke with Haley who runs the sister business Green Line (I would recommend they include this information on the website since at first I thought I had called the wrong company). She was really sweet, efficient, and open with the pricing. Price is based off of the amount of gallons they pump which is fair, and she told me upfront that a $40 fee would be added for the mandatory county admin fee, plus extra fees if their guy had to do any digging (we did the digging before they arrived so avoided any labor fees). They gave us a 2-hour window in the morning and the guy came within the window and finished within 2 hours. He ended up pumping 2,500 gallons worth of sh*t out and the total bill came to $679 including that $40 county admin fee. Before the service was done, Haley emailed us a proposal to sign which clearly stated their terms and conditions, and then after service was completed Haley emailed an invoice with clear instructions on payment. Through the entire process, Tom's Service was very upfront, clear, efficient, and professional. We are very satisfied with their services and will use them again...next time sooner than 20 years!
