There are some pretty incredible views & a few astounding caves you can explore. The trail features quite a bit of stairs & winding paths so come prepared (eg. walking stick if need be). We saw plenty of families, children & seniors on the trail so it's suitable for an array of people. We saved the coolest part for last: cracking open a few geodes. This is completely random but it's enchanting to wait & see what color is inside! We love this place.

If your idea of recreation is swimming or tennis, you'll have to go someplace else. If you want to walk, I guess you can walk the road through. A lot of the space is for well-maintained fields for soccer and baseball, with the largest having a grandstand. There's also a small playground, a basketball court or two, and a wooded area with picnic tables and grills. In the winter, skating and sledding and snowshoeing are available. Note that some of the fields and pavilions must be reserved using forms you can download, and more information is available at the Town of Moreau website.

I am writing to voice a recent concern that I have. Lately (over the last few months) on these walks I encounter e- bikes that are often are racing through at and estimated 20+ mph. I feel this is potentially unsafe for walkers who share the trail. Futhermore this is clearly not allowed base on your signs that specify "no motorized vehicles" . What a lovely gem of a historical site right in South Glens Falls!…read more Every year they have a fundraiser that begins after Thanksgiving and runs through Christmas: nativity displays from around the world. This year was from "The Americas" and, quite frankly, very impressive. From what I understand, it will be different next year! They have enough displays to change the annual theme. If you're into Christmas and love nativity scenes, this is a perfect destination spot. If you're not Christian nor religious, it's still worth a visit. For $5, it helps support a lovely historical society. The artistry and diversity of the pieces/scenes from other countries is absolutely worth the price of admission. Local volunteers keep this place alive and they are super friendly/knowledgeable about all of the displays. Merry Christmas!
