We were told we had to leave even though we had a confirmation email from them for that site. We were still in the process of finding a new RV Resort (I was literally still on the phone calling around) when it hit 6:00 so they closed the office and left. They had no idea if we even found a place to go. They parked the new people right outside our site to get us to get out faster. They did not care that their error (system or not) displaced us. They did not even attempt to make it right.

You can also invest in a dock if ones available, or store your boat for a reasonable rate. The sunsets over the lake can be part of your daily routine and some nights they are spectacular. The residents here are always friendly, and smiling, and enjoying getting together for the many activities that are offered. Tennis, pickleball, bocce, horseshoes, putt putt, shuffleboard,various crafts and games. Tai chi, Walk walk, Line dancing classes, water aerobics, and many more. Lunch is served in season at the Cafe on the lake. Excellent choices at a reasonable price, and with the gentle breezes off the lake, and wild life in full view a delightful place relax or socialize. The office staff is friendly and accommodating especially, Brittney. She is very knowledgeable and experienced. The manager is easy to talk to and available if you need information regarding the park. This park is a hidden treasure in central south Florida.

They allow catch and release fishing and kayaking. There is a sign that there may be alligators but we didn't see any. The site was long enough for our 32 ft travel trailer and pickup to be in. We had full hookups that were in good condition. There was a picnic table and grass on the door side and a beautiful palm tree on the driver's side. It was a nice area to put chairs and enjoy the lake or there were benches to sit and relax. There was a pool and other amenities that we did not try but looked nice. The kids love visiting the animals--a donkey, a tortoise, and a goat--and there's also a playground for them to enjoy. The campground also features a really nice swimming pool and swimming area. Peace River Campground offers convenient amenities as well, including laundry facilities and clean bathrooms with showers. Overall, it has a laid-back, low-key atmosphere where you can truly relax while still having plenty of fun. We've camped here several times before and always had a great experience. Originally we were given a site to park our RV however when I went to the site there was someone there already. I went back to the office and they gave me another site. The second site was much nicer than the first site so I was happy. The park is right along peace river which is famous for shark teeth. The dogs loved the trails around the river. The bad part was firework ban means nothing as we heard them well past midnight.
