If your someone who is a Teenager or in general someone who cares about their hair please don't go to this shitty ass barbershop. They don't give you at all what you ask for they give you the opposite like complete morons. Asked for a fade I left with a near bowl cut. I went here because I was visiting my folks, hadn't had time to get a haircut before I left LA, and Tony, my barber for a long time when I lived here growing up, was now working here. I knew that Tony wasn't going to be here today (he's been battling illness), but my dad said he'd gotten a good haircut from the woman who cut his hair last time. This is exactly what a barber shop should be: you get a good haircut in a really pleasant environment while being taken care of by really friendly people. My barber was thorough and really nice (finally I can talk about Philly sports again!), prices are much better than what I'd pay in LA, and I left very satisfied. (And there's parking right by the shop.) On my next visit to my parents, I can see myself not bothering to get my haircut before I leave and indeed just waiting until I can get to Craig's. read more

First impression: Tidy and organized. Read the permits on wall. There's a newbie onboard. The seasoned guy closets to door exhumes confidence in his profession. It's my first time here and first haircut in PA... Barber shops are few here Newtown Square. Coming from Miami Florida where Barber shops are everywhere and you rarely catch a bad fade I'm gonna play it safe. There's a bad review on a lady barber which is why I'm not rolling the dice there either. Let's see how this turns out. :)... update Craig the owner raised the bar.. he did my cut. I'm back in business. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SPOT. When in doubt, ALWAYS go with the guy or gal that's got their hairdo on point. Everything was copa-freaking-setic... easy going spot. Craig's is a great barber shop. I've been going here for about 6 months and haven't yet had a problem. The shop is clean and well maintained, the staff are friendly but not intrusive, and Craig (the owner) works right alongside his staff most evening I've been there. He's a hard working, military veteran who's easy to talk with and does a fine job cutting hair. The prices are very reasonable, there are at least 4 people from which to choose to cut your hair, and the range of hours the shop is open should pretty well accommodate anyone's schedule. I've been going to Greg in the second chair for over a year. He's a great guy and an even better barber! He's the Bob Ross of the straight razor shave, a real artist. When I first went into the shop I had an idea of what I wanted and Greg was able to style the idea to my face and it looked better than I imagined! The shop is super clean and all the barbers are very nice. They have great hours but are closed on Sunday, but hey perfection has to rest sometime! I highly recommend this shop to anyone. read more

In a time when classic barbershops are almost all but gone, this place is a gem of a find. All my guys go here, my husband and my two sons, 12 and 4. The staff is wonderful and very friendly, always accommodating and listen intently to what it is you want. My husband, a Veteran, who is very particular about his hair, is always satisfied with his haircut. They do a fantastic job with my four year old, patient and very compassionate towards his sometimes fidgety bones. My oldest likes the fact that he doesn't feel like a "little kid" here and that they listen to exactly what "he" wants. I've known Craig from years back when we did a martial art together. He is the nicest guy you could ever meet and he's a master with the clippers which is why he has a loyal following. I told my brother and nephews about him so they tried him out and are now loyal customers as well. You just can't get a better haircut with clippers. read more

Don't go here unless you have a very basic cut. These guys specialize in simple cuts but if you are used to a Barber Shop catering to modern cuts you'll get hacked up. I showed them where to cut and also showed a picture of a previous cut and halfway through he was like oh um so do they normally cut this bc its a calic so umm should I shave it c now it stand up? No! I have a normal gentlemens hicut that he referred to as a hipster hair cut the remainder of my cut. I don't have a man bun. I had to get my hair fixed bc it was so butchered. The first time I visited this place the service was great. A young man with red hair cut my son's hair. He did a great job and was very courteous. Unfortunately, on our second visit, we were met with an employee with a very bad attitude. On the evening of 12/7 we arrived before 6 pm. Upon entering the door, we sat in the waiting area. There were 2 men on duty, both with customers in their chairs. The same young man with red hair was there and another older man I did not recognize as being there before. The older man kept looking over at us giving us dirty looks. My son looked at me and made a comment that he noticed it too. The young man with red hair finished with his customer and attempted to come over to us when the other man yelled at him to go, he would take care of it (in a gruff voice). We continued to sit there. I looked at the sign on the door and noticed it was very close to closing time. I mentioned to my son that he must be upset because we came in close to closing time. We decided to leave as we were very uncomfortable by his glares. Even if we did come in close to closing the right thing to do would be to POLITELY ask us to come back. Because of this man's actions we won't be returning. We both felt very uncomfortable. read more
