I took my son to Craigs to buy his first vehicle. We found a really nice GMC Canyon and he fell in love with this truck. When we went in to talk to the staff about the truck they were very honest and helpful with the purchase of the truck. My son and I would love to give a big shout out to Craig, Teresa, and the whole staff at Craig's auto sales for helping me get my sons first truck!!! read more

Written on my husband's behalf…read more If I could leave a zero I absolutely would. I traded in my car for a truck at the end of August 2024 and it is now the end of October and they still have yet to get my truck registered. And get this, they've already sold the vehicle I traded in! They kept my license plate upon trade and after me calling over a month later asking about it they told me it was all taken care of and to come get my plate (mind you I live an hour from the dealership). A month later I get a collections notice on the car I traded in saying I was late on my payment. WHAT?! Tim Short was supposed to send in the payoff and didn't! I called and told them and they said they'd take care of it. I waited a week and called my bank and nothing had been sent. I called the dealership and threatened legal action and lo and behold it somehow got paid that day! Since I picked up my plate I thought everything was fine until last week. I work 9 hours from home and I was surprised when I walked out to my truck one day last week to find a TOW NOTICE on my window for an UNREGISTERED VEHICLE! My truck is STILL not registered in my name! My plate is still registered to my original vehicle I traded in which is now owned by someone else. The lady I spoke with at the dealership said that they don't keep tags? Then why did our sales rep keep it? We were also told (when we called after the first month) that whoever was in charge of handling registration left my paperwork on her desk and went on vacation. Then I'm told that my Certificate of Origin they had requested from wherever was destroyed when they received it and they don't know how or why. They also couldn't tell me why they don't have a new one. I nearly got a ticket and my brand new truck towed because they've had 2 months to do their jobs and haven't done it. I'm almost 40 and never had a ticket! The lady I spoke with said there are only two of them in the office doing all that paperwork. All I know to tell Tim Short is that they'd better hire a few more people to help in that department because I've been told I'm not the only one that's had this problem. It's all so very unprofessional. I will never do business with Tim Short again and will discourage others as well.

Before purchasing, at the very least, take the vehicle you're considering and have it checked out by someone you trust. My wife and I did not have that option, having driven over 4 hours to purchase our car. We trusted Dutch's Chevrolet's word that the vehicle was sound, only needing a replacement airflow actuator behind the dash. We fully acknowledge our responsibility in making the purchase "blind" - that's on us. That said, within the first week we had to get a new emergency brake, new brake pads, rotors and calipers. Three weeks later we had to replace the catalytic converters and manifolds. Bottom line: Shortly after buying our used vehicle from Dutch's Chevrolet, we had to shell out almost half the purchase price just to get the car in working/safe condition. Don't let this be you!

Derrick Leigh is who I dealt with regarding this entire attempted transaction. I am a pre-approved Buyer through Octane/Roadrunner Financial, very common lender for Dealerships. I negotiated a price on the 2023 Indian Springfield Darkhorse (Quartz Gray), once we started doing the processing he informed that Roadrunner was going to impose a Dealer Fee on him. He CLEARLY stated on the phone with me that "he passed on Dealer fees to customers, he doesn't pay them" I told him I thought that was very odd but we can discuss later. He then started saying the loan approval terms had changed, however EVERY (5x) time I spoke with the Lender they said they had no idea what he was talking about. I mentioned his statement about the Dealer Fee and they alerted me that any Dealership that passes on such a fee is commiting an illegal act and I should not work with them and to contact the respective state Attorney General. I gave Derrick several opportunities to email the terms of the deal and to discuss the deal further. When I told him of my intentions to contact the appropriate State Office we called me and tried to reinvent our past conversation, as well as push the matter to the past and offer another idea. This screams bad Dealer and I would urge anyone to do their due diligence. I am contacting the Attorney General through the Office of Consumer Protection, I am doing so today.
