My wife and I did not have that option, having driven over 4 hours to purchase our car. We trusted Dutch's Chevrolet's word that the vehicle was sound, only needing a replacement airflow actuator behind the dash. We fully acknowledge our responsibility in making the purchase "blind" - that's on us. That said, within the first week we had to get a new emergency brake, new brake pads, rotors and calipers. Three weeks later we had to replace the catalytic converters and manifolds. Bottom line: Shortly after buying our used vehicle from Dutch's Chevrolet, we had to shell out almost half the purchase price just to get the car in working/safe condition. Don't let this be you!

Before my brother made it from the driver's seat to check out the wheel, I Googled garages and was talking to the folks at Eddie's. They took us in immediately, fixed the wheel and had us back on the road before most places are even open! This all happened between about 10 and 11am. Boyd Co. Ford screwed up the brake installation and the crew at Eddie's fixed their mistake. A mistake that could've been deadly. (Thanks again, for your consistently crappy work, BCF!!) The crew at Eddie's is one of the dirtiest I have ever had the unfortunate event of encountering, and doing business with, in my 12 years in Morehead. I took my car in to have it looked at. I knew I needed my motor mount replaced, and took the mount in with me. I was charged a ridiculous amount comparitively to other places I had checked with, but I had been told they were good and worth it. When I picked up my car, they told me I needed another part, so I reluctantly bought this part as well and allowed them to continue their work. Upon picking my car up the second time, they then inform me that my car needed another motor mount and all new belts. With this one, I refused. Every time I went in, they told me they knew what was wrong and could fix it, but would only return with more repairs that they had 'just found' which tells me that they didn't thoroughly check the car as I had asked of them to begin with. My suggestion...go next door! Better work at a much better price! Additionally, seeing as it is a college town with a very diverse ethnic group, I feel responsible to inform the people of my community that you are inadvertently supporting one of the most racist people I have encountered in my years in Morehead. Upon conversing with the OWNER in my numerous trips to his facility, he spoke not so kindly of other races - common racial slurs included - and that was my final straw. I was in Mt. Sterling for work, pulling a tandem axle trailer when I had a blowout. I limped it to…read moreCity Tire, where I was met with a polite greeting and very cooperative employee. They addressed my situation immediately. I was immediately reassured by their sense of urgency. They did not have exactly the right tire for my trailer, but instead of trying to fit me with one 'close enough' (which was what I expected), they made a call and found me a match. I was myself calculating how I could drop the trailer off and still be productive with my downtime. I was pleasantly surprised when the gentleman explained that they would rather I didn't leave the trailer there, as they would have it ready in a half an hour. Sure enough, I was leaving LESS than half an hour from the time I arrived. THAT is amazing. These guys are great. Go buy tires from them. As a side note, I had a nice conversation with, I assume, the owner. Super guy.

This is a really unfortunate review that I am forced to leave. I had to take this action so others…read morecan be aware of the practices of this Dealership. Derrick Leigh is who I dealt with regarding this entire attempted transaction. I am a pre-approved Buyer through Octane/Roadrunner Financial, very common lender for Dealerships. I negotiated a price on the 2023 Indian Springfield Darkhorse (Quartz Gray), once we started doing the processing he informed that Roadrunner was going to impose a Dealer Fee on him. He CLEARLY stated on the phone with me that "he passed on Dealer fees to customers, he doesn't pay them" I told him I thought that was very odd but we can discuss later. He then started saying the loan approval terms had changed, however EVERY (5x) time I spoke with the Lender they said they had no idea what he was talking about. I mentioned his statement about the Dealer Fee and they alerted me that any Dealership that passes on such a fee is commiting an illegal act and I should not work with them and to contact the respective state Attorney General. I gave Derrick several opportunities to email the terms of the deal and to discuss the deal further. When I told him of my intentions to contact the appropriate State Office we called me and tried to reinvent our past conversation, as well as push the matter to the past and offer another idea. This screams bad Dealer and I would urge anyone to do their due diligence. I am contacting the Attorney General through the Office of Consumer Protection, I am doing so today.
