At the time, I was actually surprised by the lack of investigation that was required to diagnose the issue but I didn't question it. My issue was partially fixed during this appointment, but unfortunately I did have to have another plumber come out to assess and they discovered there was a clogged. I think if more time was spent investigating the issue, I likely wouldn't of had to call on another plumber. I even mentioned that there had been water accumulating in the pan under my furnace, which I know can point to a clog.. but I felt this was somewhat ignored. Furthermore, I felt the owner of this company left me with really poor advice.. advising me to cover the return vent on my main level with a piece of cardboard, which was supposed to help cool down the upper level of my house quicker. He wasn't specific about how long to keep it covered, but I figured maybe 2 to 3 hours? Well after a couple hours my indoor ac unit starts making a terrible noise. At this point, I do some independent research only to discover that covering your return vent with a piece of cardboard is a terrible idea! So idk if the poor advice was with malicious intent and just out of ignorance. But that's my story.

The SOLE reason why it's 3 instead of 5 is the woman who answers the phone. I called originally and she's the one who told me they would arrive on the 7th. When I call on the 7th she claimed to not remember and said that she had us down for the 8th. When I reasonably became a bit upset at this news she repeatedly would ask me and my fiancé, "well I can cancel if you want". She even cut me off multiple times, "I'm happy to cancel, do you want to cancel". Eventually I got to speak with the owner who smoothed things over quite nicely and provided the model numbers and serial numbers that the woman previously would not. The installers came the next day on time, and they were great. Clearly experienced and even helped to get rid of a few snakes living under the old unit. They were awesome and were done in about 4 hours which is what I expected. They even came back after finishing to provide me with a check to cover the amount for the thermostat they couldn't acquire, (which the owner told me he had the day before). The initial tech that inspected my old unit was spot on, and the install techs were a pleasure. The woman answering the phone is the sole reason I almost cancelled. This would be a 5 star review had they not had that horrible woman answer the phone. I would go with Dudley's if your looking for experienced installation techs. But somehow you're going to have to endure the terrible experience on the phone.

I am very very disappointed in how techs handle certain situations and actually found a MAJOR issue in open ductwork in unfinished basement that NO ONE from this company even bothered to look into or do any sort of testing to find out root cause....when I stated that my husband and I smelled musty, dusty smells and were affected by allergies, I was told 'this is normal' and nothing else. ???? You pay almost $400 for their better tier plan for HVAC service, and what you get is little to NOTHING. The tech barely does anything and if you state you have issues, they blow you off. Lazy!!!! I hired another company to install a new system, wasn't about to give this company anymore of my money. They found a cracked UV bulb that Hotzople had replaced, my filter area was jacked and should have been fixed a LONG time ago, and I today found an extra tubing coming off my duct in basement that was never capped off, thus rendering my entire system basically non functional -- at least very wasteful..... I cannot believe this has been for 7 years and Hotzople NEVER once checked for any duct work issues, or anything or ran any tests, I was systematically blown off, these guys do they BARE Minimum and ONLY care about collecting their yearly $s for maintenance. I highly suggest everyone EDUCATE yourself about HVAC before hiring ANYONE, these companies anymore have become greedy, they don't care. I was also told I had issues with my old system, but never was 'shown' WHAT those issues were fully. Trust is a BIG thing if you want to keep your company running....these guys 100% lost my trust and now someone else will be getting my money!
