Well I called down to their dealership after finding a vehicle I was interested in and I called and the guy was real nice on the phone and even checked it out for me to make sure it was ok before I drove 1.5 hours to see it. Well I get there and talk to a different guy and he was nice to a point named Kevin well he pulls the truck up and we take it not even a mile down the road and the check engine light comes on, and then he turns the heater on and right away I smell antifreeze and he tells me after I inquire as to what they intend to do about the issues, and he says absolutely nothing! Anything less than $10,000 (and this was a stones throw to $10,000) that it's NO WARRANTY! I was like WTF?? I know it's not his rule but still. So I said as disappointed as I was because it was a REALLY nice SUV that sorry it's a deal breaker. So we go back and he says he has a few other options like what I was looking at. So I humour him and he shows me something at the same price with almost 200k miles on it!! which was almost 60k MORE than what I just drove! But this was a special edition blah blah blah. Well we got back inside and I say thanks but I'm leaving and he tells me hold on a min, so I do and he comes back a few mins later and says to come outside. So I follow him and he says this is my lucky day and they are gonna "hook me up" with a great deal since all the other stuff didn't work out. So keep in mind I came down there with a budget in mind that I was already approved for from my bank where as I didn't have to put any money down etc and could sign and drive, and the payment was where I could afford it. I explained all this to him and told him there was ZERO room to budge. Not to mention I came down looking for a 4x4 with a tow package. Well he brings me this box on wheels that is 3 years newer and a few less miles on it but is well over $3000 MORE than my budget! Before I even really looked at it I told him it was too much and he said well that's ok we are going to give it to you for this much and it's worth this much. But it was STILL almost $2000 over budget and I reminded him of that fact and he said well once the banks sees what kind of great deal we are giving you they will up the credit line and you will be good to go. Lol #1 this thing was a box on wheels and was ALL WHEEL DRIVE all the time. #2 Was a 4 cyl #3 Had a NO TOW PACKAGE that I NEEDED and #4 was just PLAIN and boring and was NOT even close to what I needed or wanted. I was mad at this point and I told him NO and he tells me sometimes you have to settle for a better vehicle that isn't what you're looking for in the long run. WTF?!?!?!? well through all the small talk he is telling me this sob story and (THOUGHT he was talking to an idiot evidently) of how comminsion works and if he doesn't sell any cars he doesn't get a paycheck blah blah blah. Then in the next breath BRAGS about how if you sell 10 cars a week/month you get this huge bonus etc. So what's that tell you what type of people you're dealing with?? Spend almost $10k on a vehicle and it's AS IS and not even checked for safety at least???? Pushy rude salesman that only cares about HIS bottom line and cares nothing about yours??? Don't waste your time or money going in this place even if you're buying brand new because it's not worth your headache! Oh and then I get a call this a.m. asking me how it went with the bank and when I would be coming back down to get it?!?!?!? I told them NEVER because I never agreed to buy the damn thing to start with and told the salesman that I #1 Had ZERO intrest in it because it wasn't what I wanted or needed and #2 most importantly I COULDN'T AFFORD IT EVEN IF I DID WANT IT! So the person who called to follow up was their "customer service" people and they got an attitude and hung up on me! So again more of that "professional courtesy"!! read more
