Now obviously not expecting it to sound exactly like a v8 given the engine size, I was so impressed. The service was so amazing and my car sounds a lot louder! It truly does sound a lot meaner than before. The job was done very quick, 45 minutes tops. The men working on my car could tell I was very interested in the process and even let me come back and get a closer view for a bit. Along with the great service and quick time, the price was also very reasonable! For the job done I would even say it was a deal. Would 10/10 recommend this place for any work on exhaust systems.

Called AAA and they tried to send another company tow truck out but I asked for Bates towing as well and their company tow truck came out in less than an hour, hooked it up and agreed they'd take a look at in on 10/19. The tow was on 10/18. We weren't sure when they would be able to get to the vehicle. This morning 10/19 we got a call telling us the starter was shot and a price for replacement. Before noon we got a call the car was done and my son could go out and pick it up. We're a couple hours away. I cannot recommend this business highly enough. From the gentleman who picked the van up to the guy who called this morning, friendly, professional, reasonable and fast. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

The driver was careful with my car, and he was very courteous and personable ... we had a good conversation on a whole range of topics as he took me and my car to a nearby repair shop. I'm hoping my car holds up and I won't need to use Bates again, but I would definitely recommend them for anyone in the Ashland area who needs a tow.

Smetz's Tire came up and I gave them a call and was informed that early afternoons would be the best time of day for walk ins. That turned out to accurate info, as the work on our vehicle was able to done right away -- Not having to wait was much appreciated, BUT, what really impressed me was that the "reminder" sticker placed on my front window, once the work was completed, indicated the next recommended oil change was listed at a 7500 mile interval. That is the number that our car manufacturer recommends, but my previous quick oil change location had always recommended it be changed at 3500 miles. I raised concerns about that number with employees of that establishment, but was given some B.S. corporate answer -- So if you are looking for GREAT and honest car service, I suggest you check out Smet'z, in Ashland (OH).

Wow. Just wow. So impressed with Baker's!…read more Here's the scoop: we needed our Yukon diagnosed. It had mystery issues. We have an extended warranty through the Ford dealer where we bought it used. (Very worth it, btw! The Ford warranty folks have been awesome.) A GMC center in Ashland did warranty work on it in October. When this issue happened in late December- early January, they sent us to the GMC dealer in Mansfield. When that didn't go very well, we tried the other GMC dealership in Ashland, but they didn't want to work with a Ford warranty. All of this was happening while we had to be in a rental as this was our only vehicle, which we had clearly said. The GMC dealer in Mansfield called us to pressure a trade in before they'd start work on it! We declined. When they contacted us for pick up the next day, they said we needed a new door latch assembly, had left grungy handprints on the interior driver's door, and said nothing about the electrical. When we asked about that specifically, as that was the big reason we were in there, they said, "We hooked it up. There were no codes. That'll be $160." That all seemed kind of sketchy, so we took the truck to Baker's. Wow. Night and day!! Justin, the service manager, treated us with respect and professionalism. Their mechanic found and fixed the axle seals that had supposedly already been replaced by the Ashland dealer in October. AND they also replaced the actuator that controls the four-wheel-drive, which no one else had found despite our mentioning it. And remember the no codes found bit? Baker's found 16, not zero. Yup. Six-freaking-teen. Our vehicle was done when Justin said it would be done, and they even washed it! Then it had to stay an extra day to correct the work done by the center in Ashland. They worked cheerfully with sorting that out with the warranty, and fit us into their schedule. And washed it again! Not only that, somebody wiped a good bit of those grungy handprints from the other shop off of the door! I can't say enough good about Baker's, I really can't. They took us from an incredibly stressful time to a vehicle that was safe to drive again in short order. Very very grateful. We'd give fifteen stars if I could!

However, I am still waiting for my original service matter to be addressed and I haven't gotten much feedback on the delay outside of me calling for yet another service matter. Ford seems to have lost the magic lubricant that is needed for my door locks to start working again and this has dragged on for a month now. Think about that, a month for something not working, at all, on your car. This happens to be the keyless entry so it's not life-or-death but it is certainly an annoyance especially since this tech was one of the reasons I bought this vehicle. And, I don't feel its all Shelby Ford's fault on not having the part, but Ford and Donley need to get together on this TSB and get this deal fixed. I would have given Ford hell myself if I knew how to get ahold of them, but either way, I would have given better marks if Donely Ford was pushing more on my behalf to get this done and dusted for, now both, sides of the car. Again, they are improving but not as good as they were back in 2010-2012 timeframe, in my opinion anyhow. I give them a bonus star as I liked my salesman, Dan Reese, enough to purchase three cars in four years off him. He did a great job getting my car and taking care of me.
