When I decided to discharge him, I was billed for two hours of work, despite the fact that the work appeared to involve little more than filling out a few inputs into a basic template agreement readily available online for free. Craig helped me immensely through the process of purchasing my first house. If you're comfortable touring homes yourself and selecting the one you want to buy, then the cost savings of working with a lawyer are too great to ignore. Plus, there are definitely advantages to having a lawyer instead of an agent (e.g., when reviewing contract terms). Finally, Craig has been in the industry for a while, and is more than willing to informally advise you on topics that you would otherwise discuss with your broker. I'm not sure that I'll eschew hiring a broker when I sell my home, since I saw a lot of value added by the seller's agent (e.g., for preparing the home and staging it). However, whenever I next buy a home, I'll definitely work with Craig again. read more

I needed a real estate lawyer to help me fix the mess that my realtor-broker has caused. The realtor-broker has missed a crucial purchase agreement addendum that has to be filed to add my parents onto the title of the retirement house before closing. As a result, a quit claim deed and an excise tax affidavit had to be filed. Craig helped me wonderfully with this filing. Be careful. Remember that first and foremost he's a lawyer first - out to make money. If you are giving him lots of money he's good. But if you are down on your luck he will squeeze as much money as he can and not care about your circumstances. This ridiculous man argued with me the whole time. I did all of the work. All he did was charge me for emails and even worse.....sided with Arch Housing! When I wanted to take Arch Housing to court because they were breaking laws he basically told me that I would lose and to not even try. read more
