The front of the store is wide open which really welcomes you in. On the left side, a small but very adequate selection of ice creams to choose from. Yes, we paid for one scoop and the second was free. I chose their raspberry cheesecake along with an espresso flavor I had never seen nor tried before. The other selections chosen were traditional chocolate and then a salted caramel. Each ice cream was creamy and delicious in its own right. The espresso flavor I chose had thin strips of espresso flavored chocolate that were so deeply delicious. The pleasant young lady serving us really loaded up the ice cream. I commented what lovely big scoops she was giving us and she said "they said to be generous", well done owners! Lovely items in their gift section but found the prices just too high. One t shirt I loved was $59.00 so was sad to leave it behind. Highly recommend this store, and right in front is lots of seating to enjoy that double scoop. This place packs an astonishing variety of goodies into a remarkably small space, and the stuff they sell is really nice. Lots of it is locally made, including designs by local artists. I just marvelled at the taste, quality, and selection. It's almost a place that you could walk into blindfolded, pick something up at random, and it would be very appealing (at least to me). And, unlike the shops in Vancouver Airport or Toronto Pearson, the goods aren't ludicrously overpriced. The clerk was also vary patient with us as we wandered around the shop, poking and prodding at things, and piling our choices on the counter. I could almost say that it's worth going to Comox just to shop here, but there are so many other things to do and see in the area that that wouldn't be quite fair.
