"Every Pour has a Story" is the theme at this establishment. Denver, the owner, and Jeremy, the head beer tender, present the full package in this interesting concept business. There are many taste opportunities on tap from many local breweries. Check them out, you'll love it and the pinball, too! read more

Crafted 1979 - Bars Near Me - Mokena, Illinois

Nice atmosphere, great friendly bartenders, wide variety of beers and liquor, pinball

We love visiting Crafted 1979. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, making us feel instantly relaxed and welcomed. We always enjoy chatting with Jeremy--he takes the time to break down our craft selections and guide us toward the best options for our tastes. The entire staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the beer and other offerings. My wife isn't usually a beer drinker, but Jeremy went out of his way to craft a pistachio cocktail that she absolutely loved. Experiences like that are what keep us coming back. read more

Got some good local beers at this bar and store in Mokena. It has some that are hard to find outside these breweries' taprooms. Crafted 1979 has tons from Chicago and beyond. Pretty okay prices for the quality. There's a lot of flavors and variety. Can get some on tap, or get bottles and cans to go. It's certainly a place to find local products. There's not a whole lot of room inside, but there's enough for a bar and you can taste some on site. Has many things from local breweries. It's about $7 a pint. Last time here got something from Hop Butcher For The World. Just one of the many local breweries. Then we took a few packs. For sure a good place to sample the local beers. It's got some on tap so you can find out right then if they're okay. They're mostly worth getting some to take home it seems. read more

Crafted 1979 - Hop Butcher For The World IPA - Bars Near Me - Mokena, Illinois

First time coming here. Was here to take part in a small event that was going on here. Never of this little brewery but it's such a cute little place right off the highway. They have a few good selections on draft and they got an even greater and wider selection throughout the store. Ranging from CBD drinks, various hard ciders, lager, non alcoholic beverages too prices are a bit high. I do enjoy the theme of this place with employeee featured throughout the store on the walls. Many events are featured here and they do have a solid yearly membership option too! Solid establishment I'll happily visit again. 4.5 stars. read more

Nice bottle shop with rotating tap beers. If you're in the area I would highly recommend stopping in. read more

Crafted 1979 - Bars Near Me - Mokena, Illinois

If life were a 80's sitcom, this place would be my Cheers. They always have over a dozen craft beers on draft, and plenty of Bourbon that you can try by the ounce. What makes Crafted great though is the atmosphere. When you're there, you're with other craft beer and bourbon lovers. Beer is shared throughout, and the bartenders are super knowledgable. Also, they've got pinball! Five different brand-new Stern machines keep me coming back to get on the leaderboard. After you try it out, I'd recommend becoming a member. The bottle shares alone are worth it! read more

Crafted 1979 - Open Outcry beer and some pinball! - Bars Near Me - Mokena, Illinois

I started this review ages ago and just noticed-having visited more than 5 years ago, my big takeaway from visiting was the passion and dedication of the two owners getting this unique bottle shop to open and thrive! They have a unique variety of handcrafted beers to satisfy any beer drinkers' taste preferences & I loved checking out how everything was thoughtfully displayed. I also loved their commitment to creating events for their community related to beer and otherwise. While I no longer live in the Chicago area, I remember wishing there was a place like Crafted closer to the apartment I lived in in Ukrainian Village. Owner Dan and his wife Kelli are the sweetest and provide great customer service and conversation! read more

A decent enough tap room with unique beer choices and plenty of pinball machines they have so many pinball machines that I believe they have pinball tournaments here. This place is small but the choices are abundant whether it be drinking in the establishment or taking it out to go. This is another cool tap room in the Orland Tinley Park area read more

Not friendly whatsoever, havent been here in 6 months due to customer service, tried it again this past weekend, not a hello or thank you, just rang up beer and turned away, 2 people working, not one word said, very rude. read more

Great selection, extremely nice staff and very chill/laid back atmosphere. If you are into quality alcohol and hard to get allocated items this place is the way to go. I had my first superstition mead here and it blew my mind! read more

Crafted 1979 - a variety of beers on a table - Bars Near Me - Mokena, Illinois

The store is super cute & they have a pretty nice draft/canned selection, so you're bound to find something you like. The staff has always been super welcoming & friendly, but I'd have to say Rod is my favorite beertender; The playlist is always a hit & the customer service is 10/10. read more

Crafted 1979 - a glass of beer and a can of beer - Bars Near Me - Mokena, Illinois

I've always loved Crafted since the day it opened. Great place to get good bears and everyone is always friendly. I should have given a positive review years ago. The only reason I'm not giving it a full five stars, is because they have super annoying pinball machines now that kill the original vibe. I liked Crafted better when it wasn't half arcade. read more

Mehhhh... couldn't even get them to open the door. Got there at 7:58 wanted a few bottles to take home. People inside drinking and paying for the drinks. I knock on the locked door and am ignored. As I'm walking away I see them let somebody else being allowed in. Poor first experience , probably my last. I love mom and pop type of family owned places. But places like this chase you back to binnys What is even sadder is this guys friend is now messaging me with some total nonsense. Probably a family member. Smh at the henchman read more

This is a great bottle shop and tap room in the south suburbs. If your looking for some unique beers and place to hang out with some friends or family, this is the place. The owner is a nice guy and very helpful. One thing I would like to point out that makes this place different than other similar shops is the fact that you can buy individual cans and bottles from 4 & 6 packs. Most places only give you a certain selection when creating your own. The inside is super laid back and very cool. Almost all of the decor and seating is handmade. The paint scheme is like a noon whistle can. Plenty of space to host an event or get together. Overall definitley will be coming back and telling friends. Can't wait to see what 2018 brings! read more

Awesome little spot in the burbs. This place makes me feel like I'm back in the city. The employees are super nice and accommodating. One guy even brought free samples to our table and was very knowledgeable of their large craft beer selection. One suggestion I would make is to dim the lights a bit more, but besides that I have no complaints. read more

Crafted 1979 - two women sitting at a table with drinks - Bars Near Me - Mokena, Illinois

This place is great. If you've been to The Open Bottle in Tinley or most other craft beer shop/taprooms, it's a very similar vibe. I've only been here once, but the bartender was very generous with samples and they had a very large selection both on tap and in the shop. The bartender asked me what styles I prefer and was able to recommend beers based on my taste profile. Works for me! Sucks that it's closed on Mondays. Most other craft beer spots in the area are also closed on Mondays- including The Open Bottle and Hailstorm Brewing. I bet they'd get a lot of business if they closed on another day of the week. I'd like to come back again. The Tinley Park area is becoming a craft beer capital and it's great to see Mokena is contributing with Crafted! read more

Crafted is a great place to get good craft beer in cans and some tasty (and reasonably priced) drafts.

The beer selection is one of the best I've ever seen. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about what's on tap and for sale in the bottle shop Crafted is my wife's and I go to spot for a few beers after work. read more

Went to Crafted before a concert. Enjoyed a couple of drafts. Love that the beer is priced per can/bottle. You can create your own 4 or 6 pack or just buy 1. Only problem I had was finding a specific brewery I was looking for. Beer is organized by style. read more

They always have a great selection of craft beers on tap and to go. Love that you can buy 1 bottle of anything instead of the full 4 or 6 pack. read more

Having quite a few bottle shops in the area now, as well as local breweries, Crafted remains my favorite place to get quality beer. It's smaller than Open Bottle and Iron and Glass but their service, drop schedule, draft lineup, layout, knowledge, inventory, social media presence (pretty much everything) is stellar. (Not to say OB and I&G are not, they definitely are great, too, but I always seem to end up at Crafted...). I like that they started carrying Daydream coffee in addition to Smugglers. I like that Average Joe from the podcast is there a lot. I like the other people there and the family vibe. Their prices are definitely fair for the quality of beer and for the market. Their hours are good. I can't really come up with one thing that I would change about this place. read more

This place is awesome! The owners and staff are great. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in. The environment is fun and there is never a dull moment. Amazing to-go beer selection. Cheers! read more

Great place! Very friendly owners, awesome atmosphere! This place has tons of unique beers and you can create you own 6 pack of whatever you like! They have several taps for you to try out what is on tap and the owners are willing to discuss any beers you would like to try! Good people, good beer, and bring your own food to hang out here for a while! read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice beer selection for store and for tap. Plus they have Toppling Goliath...can't have a great craft beer store without it. read more

I had the privilege and honor to be able to experience this place with my buddy who is a regular here. I came all the way from California and was not disappointed. They have a great atmosphere here and the people here have a wealth of knowledge on craft brew. In addition, their tap list is full of variety in beer styles. Don't miss out if you have the opportunity to go here! Shoutout to Hoperative #100 read more

Friendly staff and a great selection of craft beers! Everyone was very helpful in helping me pick out beers for my brother too.

This place is within walking distance of our house, so we decided to walk over for the first time on a Tuesday. Joe was amazing and he is the face and personality of Crafted, although we haven't met the owners yet. This is a very social, comfortable place where bottle sharing is encouraged. So, bring a bottle, or buy a bottle and share it with everyone in the bar and you will enjoy the IPA conversation and meet new people. We will never be IPA drinkers but we will go back here for sure and purchase IPA's to take down to our family in Atlanta. Joe is an expert in IPA's and he has a podcast (Average Joe's Above Average Beer Podcast) you can listen to on ITunes or PodBean. read more

Stopped in mid-day with a customer and had a few beers from the tap. Would be nice if a ball game or music were on but I understand it was the middle of the day. Bought a few stouts to go that I have never heard of before and will be sampling this weekend. Thanks read more

Such a great beer shop!! Went there for the first time yesterday and Joe was extremely nice and helpful. Enjoyed several tastings of beer there and got a bunch of beers to try at home. Looking forward to going back. read more

Awesome little new taproom and shop. Lots of great, interesting beers. Cozy place to relax and sip a beer. Also, I've got a home decor obsession, and I loved the style and vibe of the interior decor here. Will definitely be coming back. :) read more

Finally made it to Crafted, and glad I did. Amazing beer selection both on tap and to go. Friendly staff! Will definitely be back!!

One of the best spots around for a craft beer lover! My husband and I have been here several times, and we always receive top notch service. The staff is very knowledgeable, usually offering sample beers that aren't on the tap list (which by the way, their tap lists are always amazing!), the selection in the store is great, and extremely competitively priced compared to other similar concepts I've seen around. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you check them out if you haven't already! read more

Ok, it's early, but as far as new places go this place is really making the best of a small area. They're a taproom that carries a lot of local breweries. Place is clean because it's new. I got here it was slow but at 6 pm they tapped the bourbon county. This stuff is good. They have bottles for sale too. They have 2 cs bourbon county and 4 bottles of barleywine left. Right place right time i guess. I'll be back again and again and again. read more

Don't pay attention to the idiot with the 1 star review. This place is great and staff is awesome. I mean put yourself in there shoes a guy shows up 2 mins. To close how are they supposed to know you just want to run in and grab a couple beers and run out instead of sitting at the bar all night. Don't blame them I wouldn't have let your dumb ass in either. Should have showed up at 7:45 not 7:58 then you'd have something to bitch about. All in all great place for craft beer, super friendly staff. Just hate to see people on here slamming a great place due to there stupidity. Just my 2 cents. Give it a shot you won't be disappointed. read more

The owner is very friendly. The selection is pretty good and the taps seem to keep moving. Very excited to have a tap room and beer store close to home. read more
