If I don't want to cross the bridge and pay the higher price at Columbia Arts (which is my favorite art supply store) I come here. Since they aren't one of the large franchises, they tend to have a lot more stock. All the people who work here are incredible, and so friendly! Budget craft store. It's not a michaels or Joann copycat; they have a much wider selection, but many of the supplies here are the "budget option." For example, I got a set of interchangeable knitting needles for $50 They're usually over $100. These ones were cheaper bc they are plastic and not metal or wood. I broke one of the needles knitting a scarf after a couple of months using them (about 10-15 hours of knitting). Tried to superglue but it did not hold. I did like the set until then. Sooo probably good for a beginner who isn't ready to invest in "good quality" supplies but wants more option and variety than a Michaels or Joann. Also good for low cost options for "throw away" decorations (eg wedding) or a good stop if you need a budget / low cost craft-y gift. Super kind and friendly staff. Great customer service. read more

Can't believe the low average on this place. It has just about everything in the craft line. If you can't find it here, you're in trouble. I love browsing the shelves and looking for new ideas. There are so many cute decorative items and gifts. It can take hours just to check it all out. There are also new and different displays giving crafters ideas on what they can do. The supply of fabric is also pretty fantastic. There is another branch of this one on the other side of Vancouver but this is the one I usually visit. I love this store. As others have mentioned, they may not have what you need, but then again they might. As a low key crafter, an average sewer, and someone who likes shopping, Craft Warehouse works for me. I know that for major sewing items I'll need to go to Joann's, but Craft Warehouse has the basics and a decent fabric selection. I especially appreciate the examples of craft projects throughout the store. Lastly, as someone who is very COVID conscious, I appreciate their process for keeping things safe (carts were being wiped down by an employee, they made overhead announcements reminding staff to clean their areas, etc). read more

I've bought from them before. They have stuff I needed others don't have, or if they have them, they come in large quantities. I could buy stuff @ Dollar Trees, for the same item for $1, but they have the colors I want. I could also buy supplies I wanted, but Joan's or Fabric Depot also have them. The thing is, they may be cheaper @ Joan's or Fabric Depot, by 20-30 cents, but if you can fine more of the stuff you need, it's better to buy them all in one roof, than travel to Washington UNLESS you happened to be going/passing that way! Went in today to get a picture frame and everyone seemed nice when we walked in and went the wrong way through the cashiers line. They politely directed us toward our goal. The guy at the framing area was very helpful and frames were 50% off, I think the one we picked was $12. They offered to mount the photo for free. We were able to pay at the framing area and walked out. Didn't get to wander the store too much, but there is quite a selection of frames, and the aisles seemed full of all sorts of stuff. This place is HUGE. We thought we had seen it all multiple times but then would stumble across another section. I loved the housewares section and there were a lot of creative idea examples in it. They had a big selection of craft items. I just came in for the day, so I don't know how it would be frequently. I can spend hours wandering the store seeing what is new and exciting, or stop by for one specific item and not be disappointed. The layout is consistent despite ever changing specialty items and seasonal decor. I can always find what I need and if it eludes me, there is always someone to ask for assistance. Just had the oddest experience here. I work at the tattoo shop just a short walk down the shopping center and went here to purchase some pens that I use in my craft. The pens are kept in an open set of bins near the department counter. After making my selections I turned to go to the register when suddenly I hear "oh sir, we've changed our policy and I have to walk those up to the register" which is puzzling since they're right there out in the open and NOT locked up. When I got to the register I inquired about the new policy and the sales associate(sweet lady) didn't have an answer for me, however I overheard the associate next to her whisper "because of theft". Needless to say I walked away perplexed. As I was walking back to work the notion dawned on me that perhaps I had just been racially profiled taking into consideration I am a non Caucasian/non black minority with longer than average hair. It seems to fit considering, as I reiterate, the items were in open bins and not locked up. Way better and nicer than the competition of stores like Michael's. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and it was just a more pleasant store to be in. The prices were better here, as well, and the frame selection was much, much better. I don't end up in these craft stores all that much, but if I need some supplies or frames, decorations, etc, I'll definitely stop in here. As a paper crafter, CW almost always has the latest stuff to try by name brands like Tim Holtz and Lawn Fawn. Truly enjoy Christine and several other employees. Prices might be higher than o online. It I like being able to touch and feel the product. They have a great return policy and I am always happy to go in and "browse". Due to theft, many of items I want to buy are locked up and have to be held at the cash register which I find inconvenient but it's understandable if so much of their merchandise is walking out the door. Wish they had more 40% off coupons for those of us who go to the store regularly. read more

It's funny, but if you read a bunch of the reviews on this place it seems that half the people think it's got great selection and prices and the other half don't. If there was a hierarchy of craft enthusiasts it would probably go like this, the beginners get their gear from Craft Warehouse and the more advanced crafters get their stuff from places like Michael's or Hobby Lobby. This store suffers from the lack of a well-trained staff, but no more so than your average Home Depot, you may have to go thru a few employees, but you'll probably be able to find one that knows what you're talking about. The selection here is more mundane than other craft stores, even tho the store is rather large. In terms of organized, it's not really. It's not as bad as ANY Party City in terms of always redecorating the place, it's just not very clearly organized into a concise format, which can make finding what you're looking for somewhat more difficult than some of the other craft stores. As for the pricing, it bobs and weaves just like the store organization, I've found some amazing prices here, but mostly it's about the same as the other craft stores, maybe a tad cheaper. But let's face it, craft stores are all overpriced. Do I shop here first? not usually unless it's on my way. Every once and a while I find something really great in here, but most of the time I'm as happy with the store content as I am with the store employees (that should be two and a half stars up there). read more

It used to be a wonderful craft store with lots of variety and selection of crafting items. Unfortunately it's more of an import store of cheap goods surrounding the entire front of the store instead of craft items. A lot of the sections that used to have a nice selection are now smaller. You'd think that people that work at a crafts store would be somewhat knowledgeable about crafts, OR, if not, to at least not act puzzled and rude (as if you're bothering them) that you're asking a specific craft question. The staff was not at all helpful, and to make matters worse, treated me very badly, as if I were disrupting their routine by making a simple knitting inquiry, didn't even offer to find me a person that may be able to help me. I really only shop in the quilt shop area of the store. The rest of the place is just the space I need to walk through to get to it. The women who work in the quilt shop are very nice, knowledgeable and kind. Michael's has a laughable measly fabric section and not at all worth my time or money. And Joanns is just ugh! Joanns is good for thread, scissors and things, but their fabric selection while big, isn't all that great. Craft Warehouse has name brand fabrics like Moda and Benartex, etc. The flat folds are from name brand companies too. The only complaint I have is that their fabric buyer isn't a quilter and doesn't always pick out the most beautiful fabrics. Some are pretty tame and some are really pretty. Then she'll occasionally pull a rabbit out of the hat and bring in some thing really nice. read more

We were at the craft store the other day and this little girl was following her mom around saying: "Mom. mom can we go? My duck is cold... My duck... My duck is cold. Can we go? Mom. My duck... Can we go? It's really cold... My duck is cold... ... and we were like "Does she really have a duck?" Interesting mix here (both customers and products). They have a little bit of everything, and guaranteed the basics for whatever you want. I paid $10.00 for a sketchbook. Pretty steep for a pad of paper, but I blame that on my personality quirk for insisting to only get that brand and not the fault of the store. I hate this place. The staff is rude, the selection is slim, their prices are high, and they rarely ever have sales or coupons. The bathroom is disgusting and they hate kids coming in. They used to do free crafts but of course now charge for them. All the workers act like it's a huge inconvenience to have to service customers. The managers offer no assistance to the new workers and expect them to just figure it out, I experienced this at the register while trying to buy a gift card they had on sale with a free $10 gift card after purchase. No one knew how to give the advertised sale. The cashier called a manager for help several times, to no avail. The electric doors are always broken and you have to push past them. I'm SO bummed that the Craft Warehouse in Beaverton closed. I'm working on several specific projects, so I decided to trek out to Vancover to see if I could find what I needed at my trusty CW. This location doesn't disappoint - they have a fairly substantial paper selection (among other things), and while I didn't get as much as I'd hoped, I did find more than I'd found at Jo-Ann and Michael's combined. Not too shabby. I was over-charged, but I didn't notice until after I had paid. I went back through the line, and the cashier was so sweet and friendly - fantastic customer service. She apologized many times, even though it wasn't her mistake. I wondered what they did with my their dollar section - I found it after the check stands. Having it there will dramatically cut down on my "I don't need this...but it's only $1!" purchases, as I don't want to spend the effort to get in line a second time! read more

I had heard such great things about Craft Warehouse and I don't know if it was just this location or what but I wasn't that impressed. It was overwhelming, everywhere and everything was swarming with product. In a few places it was hard to walk and definitely next to impossible to navigate. I was looking for some spray paint and they have only a few colors in the brand Krylon. I was a little disappointed. Then I went looking for gold leaf and it was kind of spendy, although I have never purchased it before so I could be totally off base. The staff was friendly and helpful, although they were all pretty much in the sewing department working on a project and gabbing. A great place to get design ideas for those of us that are craft and decorating impaired. There are displays everywhere you look in this store and everything you need to make them or your own spin on them. I am mostly interested in natural semi-precious stone beads and copper findings. Craft Warehouse sells stones by the strand and they seem well priced. The cheapest strands start at about $6 leveling off at $10 and some of the higher quality and larger strands are upwards of $24. Nothing seemed much higher than that. Some of the beads I saw were dyed (some agates), some were artificial (opalite, cherry quartz), but I did find some nice quality natural beads. I jumped on their buy two strands get one strand free sale. When I got home I realized that three of the bead types that I purchased (4mm amethyst, apatite and labradorite) have holes that are too small for my 20 gauge wire. So I have to ream each of the tiny 4mm beads by hand. It's tiring and annoying. Anything on a plastic strand should be fine, anything on a fabric strand should be purchased with caution. As for copper, they have next to none. They carry TierraCast aka copper plated pewter. I wish I could find more local shops that carry solid copper findings. read more

We attempted to go into the Craft Warehouse with a small group of people with special needs. One of them is medically exempt from the mask ordinance due to functioning level. We are very compliant with mask rules They were extremely rude about telling us their mask rule. Instead of calmly explaining that they didn't let people in without a mask this lady waved a hand in front of mine and his face and told us to "put on a face covering" when trying to explain that he was medically exempt she said 'I don't care, get out." Again we are very compliant with mask rules and had she calmly explained it we would have left. Businesses are closing at an exceptionally fast race due to the pandemic . If this is how they're going to handle this situation then they are going to be one of them. read more

Being an avid crafter of all types of media, I can honestly say that I feel at home at Craft Warehouse. I am able to find almost every media type that I wish to work with. From scrapbooking, woodwork, photography, sewing, beading and more; they have it all, with a small exception to swarovski beads, which is not a big deal. Their items are of very good quality with very unique designs and patterns that I would not be able to find at my local craft store. I've heard that their prices are steep. But compared to my local craft store, I think they are actually much cheaper. They also have great sales. My local craft store would never offer 20% off storewide, 50% off seasonal items, 40% off any item coupon and etcetera types of sales. It's unbelievable how often Craft Warehouse has sales. (Either that or I am extremely lucky during each of my visits.) Excellent craft store. Very organized. Great quality items. Beautiful samples. Friendly and helpful staff. read more

Really affordable varied arts and crafts. Only down side is sometimes I find some style I really like and then its gone! But I do like the change and the new things that come in too though. I love looking at all their displays they set up because they give me soooo many ideas. The staff is always helpful and if they don't know the answer to my question, they are not afraid to be honest and seek someone else in the store who might be able to. Their coupons don't paper my inbox all the time but when they do have coupons and sales, they are WORTH the wait, I promise. Love craft warehouse, I get everything I need for all my art projects! Canvas is ALWAYS on sale here and they have a GIGANTIC variety. And when I say sale I am talking 40-60% off ALL THE TIME!!! I paint and have recently started experimented with my photography and putting it on canvas so I USE A LOT of canvas and it can be expensive. With the variety they offer and the awesome prices I can buy the thin canvas to experiment on and then when I get it perfected (I tend to be a perfectionist) I can use the thicker canvas put my finished product piece on. I am also very into arts and crafts, I do a lot of art journaling, and since getting sick 3 1/2 years ago I have been documenting my journey through a another journal called Project Life/Smash and they have all the supplies and MORE!! Before getting sick I worked 60+ hours, and at one time went to school full time getting my BS and working full time so when I was no longer able to work I was lost, so I keep busy with art as a way to express myself and distract myself from the constant pain. Craft Warehouse has amazing prices, the staff is GREAT and always helpful. (They kinda know me there lol) I have to say I would recommend them over Michaels, the prices are much better, the staff are much friendlier, and the variety of art supplies are ENDLESS!!! One thing Michaels does have is storage supplies, Craft Warehouse does as well it really depends on what your looking for, but plan on spending a little more. I would look around first read more
