I'm visiting the Boise Meridian area from out of state. I was blown away by all the fabric, projects on display, scrapbooking area & all the other hobby items. I like having a craft store that's a little different than the larger craft stores but the prices are so much higher. So I like to come in on the sale days and then the prices are more equitable to the other shops. That's annoying to have to do but whatever. They do have some unique stuff. Another thing that is annoying is their policy regarding exchanges. I purchased an item on a sale day but bought the wrong color. I went back a few days later to exchange it for the right color but was told that since the sale was over, I would have to pay full price for the right one. What!? I understand the sale was over but I wasn't trying to get additional items at the sale price, I just wanted an even exchange. There's absolutely no loss on their side whatsoever. It just seems to me that a smaller chain would be more reasonable and want to keep their customers. read more

Awesome store!!! So many crafting options to choose from. They have sales on their stuff every so often too. Nationsl Scrapbook Day, they had some fun deals going on. Got to make a cute and free card. Then they had a decor sign that you could make for 10$. And around the Holidays they have more sales and crafting events. Its a fun place! read more

Wow, I got to see horrendous customer service in action tonight. I didn't realize that the store was closing at 7 o'clock, I truly thought it was going to close at 8pm, so after I walked in one of the employees was standing in the vestibule area and she gave me a look of utter disgust and told me in the nastiest voice "we're closed" after I asked if I was allowed to enter through the door I opened to come into the store. I attempted to apologize and convey my misunderstanding but I was greeted with the same nasty look and rude "we're closed" as if I was some kind of moron. I will NEVER even think to shop here ever again, I'll definitely take my unwelcome money elsewhere. read more

Wanted to support a family owned business but was disappointed in the quality. The size was not good but that was my fault I did not read description. I purchased 20 unfinished tissue boxes and 5 were totally unusable because of poor quality. Returning was not an option because the price to ship back was outrageous. Craft Warehouse is a large craft store. It's part of a small chain run out of the NW, 8 stores in total right now. Departments include beading, home decor, fabric, paper crafting, framing, and even some miscellaneous toys, magazines, etc. I appreciate the variety of items available in the store. I spend most of my time (& money) in the paper section; purchasing ink, rubber stamps, and embellishments. I find that they get in new products quite frequently and they feature the new lines on end caps so they're easy to find. I'm concerned about the recent (and significant!) reduction in the rubber stamp selection, so I'll have to see how that pans out. Customer service here has always been good. The salespeople are able to answer questions about products much better than the people at JoAnn's or Michael's who can't. Jon, the manager, is often on the sales floor. Every fall they have a huge open house, and it's a lot of fun. Big sales, music, refreshments, and prizes. It's definitely something my friends & I look forward to attending. read more

I recently attended an Agate Nightlight Make and Take class at Craft Warehouse. The project was a fun idea and very reasonably priced at $8. To purchase the materials otherwise would have been more like $15-$20 for the project. Unfortunately, the two employees running the class were not very helpful or professional. One of them was very impatient and had an attitude about everything. The other employee was busy making her own agate nightlight. They both kept openly joking about the fact that the second employee saw a really nice piece of agate in the pieces set aside for customers and decided to grab it and make herself a nightlight. Meanwhile, the remaining pieces of agate we had to select from were actually two small for the project. Most of them weren't large enough to extend beyond the small bulb of the nightlight and/or had cracks. They both were incredibly unprofessional. As I was leaving, the impatient employee had come to the front to argue with another employee who apparently wasn't doing the receipts correctly got customers attending the class. Ooy! Otherwise, the store seemed decent and stocked a wide variety of crafting materials. I think the crafting classes are a fantastic idea, if only the employees working it had a better understanding of customer service. read more

I don't know why I always end up getting some crafty stuff here lol. Well, first off there's a lot of great establishments nearby so it's like a one stop shop especially when Babies R Us was still here. I'm not sure if I'm getting a good deal coz I've never been to other craft store to compare it with but I always get sale items anyways. There's tons of things you find here from home decors, arts, all sort of crafts like beads, jewelry making, painting, quilting, you name it! Tons! This craft store is pretty good, but I find it to tailor mainly towards certain hobbies, more than an overall supply of all things craft. If you are a beader, a scrapbooker, or a quilter than this store will most likely have something for you! I find their selection of silk flowers to be of great quality, and frequently on sale=good prices! I also love their selection of games and toys for kids. Lots of non name brand games you have never heard of, that all sound so fun! They also carry a great selection on Melissa and Doug toys, which both myself and my kids love. They are open till 10pm on weekdays, which is great when you realize at 9pm you need a supply to finish a project! read more

I probably won't be back. I was at the store yesterday to return a journal and pen WITH the receipt. When the cashier called the manager for help, I was told, "We don't do returns on pens." I asked why not, even with a receipt and it's never even been out of the bag. I was told that was the store policy. That policy was never made clear upon purchase. Then, to top it off, the manager said they don't return items that don't have original packaging. The packaging was with the journal, I had just opened it to see the inside. I was frustrated to say the least. I did get my money back for the journal, but not the pen! Buy your pens elsewhere! read more

I just love shopping here. It's clean, bright and open, well organized and has lots and lots of product. I love all their choices and how they have craft ideas and suggestions scattered all around the store. It inspires and gives me ideas that you wouldn't have even thought of! As a man with hobbies like four wheeling, motorcycles, major home remodels and other masculine activities, you wouldn't think I would find this store of any interest. On the contrary I find the Craft Warehouse to be an awesome place to find cool ways to customize my stuff without blowing my pocket book on some fancy custom website. I especially appreciate that the employ's are very helpful no mater how bad I am at explaining what I want to do, I always find what I am looking for or at least something close enough to work. read more

I wanted a really nice picture frames. I was told they would do the best job at the best price, lower than the competition. Not only was the price higher AFTER the job was completed, when I got home and unwrapped my print I saw ripples in it. I was so angry I WILL NOT go back there ever. I love going into Craft Warehouse, I can always find the things I want. The prices are higher than our other craft stores. BUT they have new items every time I go in. I had purchased a Big Shot earlier this year and then purchased a Big Kick which a bigger machine than the Big Shot. I had not opened the Big Shot at all but did not have my receipt. I called and spoke to someone named Anthony and he said no problem just bring it in and we will take care of it. I told him that I paid the sales price of $99 and that it still has the sticker sales price on the box and he said that was fine, just bring it on in. I then went in the next day and was told that they could only give store credit which was fine with me as I am in there weekly. Then when they scanned it the price came up as $55 which is an additional discounted price but I had paid $99 and they said that they would not give me what I paid for it, only the most recent price of it, with me losing $44. I said no I would call the manager Amy the next day, but she too said NO should would not give me the $99 store credit. I shop there weekly and needless to say I WILL NO LONGER BE A LOYAL CUSTOMER TO THIS STORE. So hello Michaels and Hobby Lobby. read more
