Come for the beer, but not the food. This place is better than most pub you will go, but it's a pale comparison to some of the top pub breweries in the city. This is a place for beginners to venture out of the usual affairs of big name brand beers into local breweries. But for veteran micro brew drinkers, the choices here may be a bit tame. I came here for 2 separate occasions, both times during lunch. This is a spacious facility that doesn't fill up easily. Looking at the menu, the one thing that jumps out is how pricy the food is considering the caliber - a pint of beer plus an entree will most certainly set you back $20. It's better than average pub fair, but nothing that makes you want to come back. I had a beer chicken, which while it was tender, lacks seasoning to make it tasty. Another coworker also commented that for the few times he's been here, he has never been impressed with the food. It's a good spot for group lunch thought, since they have plenty of space. read more

Amazing venue. Was initially taken aback by the sheer size of this place and number of beers on tap to choose from. Had the nachos and crabcake sliders and mac and cheese. Usually I'm wary ordering a mac and cheese at an establishment like this since the sauce is typically more cream based and doesn't offer much cheese except for what is baked on top, BUT I was happily surprised by the hearty portion and super cheesy sauce with chunks of bacon in it!! On top of the sliders, nachos and beer, I barely made it through half of my mac! And hey, I didn't catch a noro-virus (+1). Overall very clean and well-run place. Definitely worth trying the mac and cheese. read more

CRAFT - Monster nachos!! - Beer Bar Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

I've been here a few times now but tonight I had a superior enough experience to whip out my phone and write a review while sippin' on my brew ;) Really great service up at the bar. The server/bartenders were attentive and made great recommendations for beer and food. The music was actually at a perfect volume and playing really nice classic rock and roll selections. A special shoutout to the mussels, which were amazing, with extremely flavorful broth that wasn't heavy or oily. Probably the best mussels I've had in Vancouver because of this broth (and I've tried ALOT). Bonus: appies are $9 on Sundays. After this visit, I'm definitely coming back for more, and recommending Craft to friends. ps my friend recently had a bad experience with service here, complained and got a $100 gift certificate, which I thought was pretty generous. read more

I came in on a busy Friday night, the place was packed and I still received impeccable service. The food and beer was so on point. Did I mention they serve earnest ice cream with their deserts? Bonus!!!! read more

After writing my negative Yelp review I got a message from the manager who invited us back so we could have a better experience.. And it was a lot better. Servers were attentive and friendly, food was great - we tried the lingcod and the steak sandwich along with the ice cream sandwich for dessert - and it was a lot better than I expected. I love caesers and this one was definitely one of the better ones I've tried. One of the managers came and checked up on us twice to make sure everything was going well. I'm quite impressed with the service and food this time around and hope we get to experience the same thing when we go back again! read more

I'm a big fan of Craft. They have an enormous capacity and are often packed to the brim. The host staff is incredible. They are attentive, efficient and polite. I have rarely had to wait more than 30 minutes and time flies while you're out on the covered patio chatting with friends. The atmosphere is electric inside - please note this is not the place to conduct a business meeting as it's loud - everyone is there to have a good time. Watch any one of the dozens of TVs which are always playing a sports game of some sort. I have done drinks, dinner and brunch here. The portion sizes on breakfast are pretty weak (tacos are decent) but the drinks are consistent and delicious. The selection of beer is unmatched - I usually just opt for the sample bats so that I can get a taste of everything. The only average experience I had was when I was sitting in the upper seating area and our table went overlooked for about 20 minutes. A manager noted the fact and credited me with free breakfast. I'll always be a promoter here. read more

We come every time we visit Vancouver, the beer and food is amazing!! We brought our friends here and they kept saying that Craft beer market was hands down their favorite part of their Vancouver experience. I highly recommend trying the poutine!! read more

Food was great so was the restaurant itself, but the reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because back in March I went for a friends birthday and until the end the service was good towards the end the server gave us all out separate bills our I had cash so I gave that which then I told them to keep the change, she gave me a death stare and looked at me and said "that's it?" I was blown away because I've never had this happen to me before she was very rude after that read more

This place is gorgeous! I was blown away when I first walked in. It was super busy when I went on Friday after work, seems like a popular place. They have a great selection of beers (100 to choose from) and good deals on beer also. The food menu is o.k, I had the Thai lettuces wraps it was fine nothing special. The nachos were a big hit with everyone but seemed a bit expensive ($18 no proteins). My friend had the veggie burger said it was super good, I wish I had tried it! Next time :) This is a great place for groups, we had about 20 people together from work in one section. Definitely a great place to chill and have drinks. Can't wait to go back. read more

Food waa blah. Had the bacon & blue chesse burger. (Which i couldnt even taste thw blue chesse at all) and a side of gravy for my fries. The gray had no taste and it was too runny. My sister had the poutine which had no taste at all and not enough gravy. My cousin got the wings which were pretty good. We also had the coconut mussels for appy. Wasnt so amazing nor bad. Love the 100 more options of beers! I tried the sampler beers (around the world) that was awesome! It was so good. & im not a big beer drinker. Fav one was the strawberry beer! Hearty comfort food, great flavors, wide range local and global selections of drafts with exotic flavors ;). Their service was awesome too, my sandwich was on the house once because the order was messed up and delayed for a while. This definitely kept me coming back and spread good words about their costumer service =D read more

I just LOVE this place, probably one of my favourite restaurant in Vancouver!!! Great food, nice view and service is on point! Everything about this place is amazing. All the managers, bartenders & servers are so friendly! Over 100 beers on tap=heaven. They have an awesome food menu, cool taco Tuesday specials & 5$ local beers during happy hour! Great beer. Wonderful place to sample BC beers especially on Wednesday 5 $ each Friendly attentive bartenders and great food. Maybe a small selection of eats but come definitely here for the beer. Great spot as well, cool architecture built in the 1800's and renovated and the building was the mess hall during the Olympics. Great location near the science center. read more

So many dfiferent beers, such a big venue. Great place to go after a hockey game with friends. Can get very busy and lineups too!

Once again we try to order take out and nobody answers the phone. This is an ongoing problem. We gave up trying to get through the phone and walked across the street to order. The bartender was nice enough and took the order. However, when the order came out, he failed to see or find me (sitting right there) and put our order under the bar. After finally asking a waitress to check on it she walked out from the kitchen, talked to bartender and pulled our food out from under bar and apologised. Again, nice enough guy, but I was sitting right there the whole time and he didn't deliver my food. Really tired of their poor take out service. I live across the street and come in frequently, but would appreciate it if they took the take out side into consideration. Very frustrating and disappointing read more

Attended for a bday celebration. The grilled chicken burger was delicious and the service was top notch. We sat in the upper portion which was great for people watching but you do feel like you are out of the ambience a little. The selection of beer is like no other. Over 100 beers on tap and the server was very knowledgeable about the selections. The patio was not open even though it was a very pleasant evening. Shame. They have long waits sometimes on busy days but they have a texting system so you can go for a stroll around the water while waiting without worrying about missing your table. read more

This place is enormous! There was such a great buzz all throughout the building. The music varies; I once went here on a Wednesday afternoon and was not a fan of the tunes. But, once on a Sunday night they played a lot of hip hop top 40 and I was pleased. Good Happy Hour deals and $9 flights:) Also, the nachos were very delicious, the portion is huge and presentation is nice. Happy hour men I recommend testing this restaurant out, for sure. read more

I live close by and met up with friends here from time to time for convenience's sake, plus I preferred Craft's food selection over those of the other restaurants by the seawall in Olympic Village/False Creek. My experiences have generally been pretty good, mostly because service was mostly decent, so when I was meeting friends visiting Vancouver, I made a reservation to have brunch at Craft yesterday. As usual, the hostess was friendly and chit-chatted with us while bringing us to our table. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the standoffish attitude of our waitress. I pretended not to notice hoping that way my friends wouldn't notice too so they'd still have a good start to their trip, but when we asked her to pack the food, she made sure we knew it was a major inconvenience to her with an awkward silence before responding. I've been to Craft many times and this was just one individual, but if it was my first time there, I would've easily given 2-stars. read more

Nosh and Nibble came here for a birthday celebration and I had a great taste of the following: Russell - A Wee Angry Scotch Ale (~$7) Classic Burger ($14.50) Dessert in a Jar ($8) Starting with the beer, Russell hails from Surry, BC and their Wee Angry Scotch Ale is a specialty malt in the style of a 19th century 90 Shilling Scotch Ale. As pretentious as that sounds, this beer was full of flavour. I tasted some toasted grain and loved the toffee and caramel aroma to it. The "angry" part may have been due to the burnt aftertaste but it may also be an homage to stereotypical Scotsman. Overall not a bad choice from the hundred or so they have on tap. The Classic Burger came with house-made pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, and house-made mustard. On the side came a bag of fries. I usually feel burgers are a safe choice at pubs and here it's no different. This was a no-nonsense burger with a juicy patty and a fluffy bun. If there could have been some mayo involved that would have been even better but not a big deal here. The fries tasted fresh and were overall pretty good. The Dessert in a Jar consisted of stout-infused chocolate cake, sponge toffee, sliced bananas, cashews and chocolate sauce topped with Earnest Vanilla Ice Cream. At first glance this looks like a bath of ice cream and whipped cream but the bananas were eventually found. Sponge toffee was also a neat find since I usually have to go to Lonsdale Quay to buy any. Some caramel would have been the ultimate topper for this sugary death trap but chocolate sauce contrasted better against the cashews. read more

Me and the mister finally made it into Craft yesterday. Seemed a little overwhelmingly big and chain-like from the outside - but surprisingly cozy once we were inside. We were both struck by how friendly and knowledgeable the staff was. Couldn't do much better than that, quick to check with the kitchen for allergies, offered great suggestions and were very attentive. Fish tacos were tasty and the whole place very clean. We will be returning for taco Tuesdays for sure. PS: INSANE beer selection. best in town. read more

I don't drink beer so I'm mostly rating the the food. We come here for lunch only cause it's close to work. Otherwise I probably wouldn't come here. It's extremely overpriced. Even a small simple salad with no protein cost 7.5. Food isn't always consistent. Two of my friends ordered the same things, but somehow they tasted different. If a group consist of more than 8 ppl, 18% gratuity is added to our bill. With a menu this expensive for mediocre quality food and they're still relying on us to pay their staffs for them, then there's something really wrong. read more

This is a truly world-class restaurant and brewpub. It is gigantic inside, but the staff makes it cozy with their warmth and hospitality. The beer selection is pretty much every beer you've ever heard of, on tap. The food is quite good as well. I had the Kale Caesar Salad, and it was delicious to the last leaf. The curry pacific mussels could use a little less cooking (they had shrunk in the shell, which mussel aficionados know is just over-cooking), but the curry was very tasty. Adding a white rice to that dish is something they might look into. I also had a plate of fried cucumbers with ranch dressing and it was tops. They keep the atmosphere hopping with some really great, VERY eclectic music selections, and their sound system is state-of-the-art without being too loud to converse with your friends. This was my second time here, and I'll be back for sure. read more

I had an amazing experience at Craft Beer Market. This is mostly because of our server Aimee who went above and beyond to provide excellent service. She was friendly, personable and very flexible. When they call it Craft Beer, it's really the thing you should be getting... My friends and I had a group dinner (as it's been a while when school stops you from going out), and we decided to check the place out. The atmosphere here is amazing; the building itself was beautifully lit and archaic with all of it's wood pillars and supports, and the music was easy to sing along to. However, let's refer back to my first statement. I got the World Tour Sampler to start off the night. Their choices weren't half bad (my friends wouldn't agree with me though), and some of them I would repurchase again (if I could remember their names). Beer is definitely what you should be here for. I originally wanted the 20 Napkin Burger, but they supposedly ran out of them, so I ordered the TLT instead with the waitress's suggestion. The flavors were pleasant and fresh, but taking a peak inside, the fish probably took up less than 15% of the total volume of the sandwich. I also got the yam fries. Again, they were good, but compared to my friend's regular fries, there was a void of non-existent fries that could've been there. I would've been okay with this aside from the fact that you pay upwards of 15 dollars for this (Maybe it's because I've been raised frugally, who knows). read more

There are so many places in Vancouver offering craft beer that are much better to take friends to than this place, which feels like it was designed to go in a Mall. Just like it's generic local relations, Crap & Terrible, Crap Market delivers a grandiose yet uninspiring corral to sit & sip. Big downfall with no taster racks on the extensive tap selections, and no advantage here over other local joints in price with $7 avg / glass. For the other craft beer folks, there's only a few I haven't seen or tried before, so you'll see at least one acceptable beer on your list, though there is hardly any stouts to choose from. I had one European I'd hadn't heard of and a couple off the rotating menu. Menu did have some appetizing selections, unfortunately overpriced for ingredients listed so I chose not to order. Mostly empty so service was fine. Looked like they had servers standing around with nothing to do for the most part. Does not offer a draw to the Olympic village. Will stick with local St. Augustine's for niche. read more

Definitely a great place to eat, chat and drink. Not the least expensive place but reasonable for the quality, selection and location. This place will be packed all summer and so long as beer remains alcoholic, they have a cash cow... Upon opening staff's knowledge of the beers was weak (fair enough with over 100 taps) but they seem to be trying hard and familiarizing themselves with their products! Always had helpful service with good tasting points and good recommendations. likely to remain a favourite watering hole for the hood. read more

As a fan of good beer we are always excited to see bigger beer menus and this one delivered. But, outstanding beer cannot carry this pathetic pintrest inspired menu. Took a long time to choose something and then was underwhelmed with the product. The space (Vancouver and Edmonton) get a 10 but the menu needs an overhaul already. On our first visit in Vancouver the people next to us complained about their food and ultimately walked out when the replacements arrived. I guess we aren't alone. In summary...go for the beer...skip the food. read more

We went in for applies and ordered lettuce wraps and flatbed. The chicken lettuce wraps were $17 and you received a large sticky bowl of farkay noodles with no more than 2 tablespoons of chicken. Absolutely insulting. The flatbread was disappointing as it tasted like delisio frozen pizza. Obviously the beer selection is second to none, and the wings are tasty, so you just need to order your meals with lower expectations. IMO read more
