Not my favorite empanada place during my expirience. I think there are a few better options in the area. I went on a Friday afternoon after ordering on Grubhub for pickup with 10 assorted empanandas, Yucca fries, and plantains. The plantains were delightful, and if I were to come back here, I will definately be ordering more of the plantains. The Yucca fries are not something I was really glad to have ordered. It felt like empty calories, a bit overcooked, and hollow on the inside. They weren't soft, nor crunchy, just hard and hollow, like a bad tater-tot, with not much taste. Would not recommed. Unfortunately, I think the chicken was quite dry in the empanada. Not all of them contain cheese, and the cheese felt seperate from the whole empanada so would not recommend. The mango and pineapple chicken empanadas really disappointed. I do wonder what the tres leches empanada taste like. The service was great and understanding. It did take a bit longer then expected for the food to come out, but they were really kind throughout the whole process and provided plenty of sauce. The store itself is small and empty, no one else was in except the two working, and the music was nice. It is air conditioned which was nice while we waited. Overall, not great, but there were a few highlights. Dont think I will be coming back unfortunately.

I cant stress enough how important packing is to me when I order take out. It shows how neat the staff and restaurant are. I had been wanting to order from Craft Empanadas and I finally got the chance to tase some empanadas along with there tacos and fries. Both the cheese burger and chicken & cheese empanada were amazing they were good sizes ( I've been to some restaurants that serve small empanadas) and they were tasty. The shrimp tacos were also well made definitely wish I had ordered more. I think the fries would have been a bit better without the cheese but they were also good. I will definitely order from them again !

Chicken Cheese Empanada Maduro and Cheese Empanada Spinach with Cheese Alfredo Empanada Chicken Pico de Gallo Empanada

I love anything that's a fried carb and when it's a fresh fried carb, sign me up! They have so many options but I went with 4 different empanadas to try - the chicken cheese, maduro & cheese, spinach alfredo, and chicken pico de gallo. I liked all of them but I would say the pico inside gets messy and the empanada was dripping everywhere. They made everything fresh, except the chicken cheese, which they already had prepared. But it still was very crispy and tasted hot & fresh. I think they heated it up. The sauce that comes with the empanada is a sweet & sour sauce but I would've preferred a spicy sauce (my fault for not asking for it because I heard another customer ask for it). The service is quick too and there are a few small high tables to sit at. I want to try other flavors!

My sister wanted to hit up a spot with empanadas and thank God for Yelp we were able to find a few spots. Due to Covid, a lot of places closed early but we were blessed the find CRAFT Empanadas Location: Decent area, great hours and restaurant standed out from the block. Customer Service: OMG! The owners were beyond amazing and welcoming! I felt instantly @ home and was treated as if I've been here before but it was my 1st time. They were very patient, informative and went above and beyond. They even assisted me with a weird request and made me and my sister's entire day. Food: So everyone knows I love variety and can be picky af but why this spot was too perfect for a person like me. C'mon they have over 100 empanadas flavors like WTH! this felt unreal lol. I wish I could ordered them all but finally a place for people whom don't consume meat can still find a food item without looking too picky lol. Plus they have empanadas with avocado OMG! I'm in foodie Heaven. WOW! Food is made to order, super fresh and super hot!!!! Just the way I love it! The taste amazing, I personally ordered a lobster/cheese and shrimp/avocado. My sister ordered the Philly steak n cheese and the Guava/cheese.....Yummy! I wonder if I can create my own but with all their options I'm sure they have what I'm thinking next time I go lol. Price: Reasonable price with perfect food portions. Overall: This is definitely my new spot whenever I'm in town. From great service to great food this is a Hidden Gem! I wish this spot unlimited success and blessings! Oh I forgot to mention, they have a rewards program which is easy to sign up and even more reason to come back so I can build up my points. Smart move! 5 Stars!!!!!

If you want creative, fresh and tasty food options this is your place! This is my go to every weekend. Love the Yucca fries, cheeseburger empanadas are amazing, carrot cake empanadas, they make awesome burgers, tacos, rice, seafood. Anything you want they can make it!! They even make healthy drinks and the PASSION FRUIT JUICE - it's like love in a cup. What always warms my heart is the customer service . Always on point.

Chicken n cheese and cheeseburger empanadas

This is a neat lil spot. I had the beef, the cheeseburger, the lasagna and the chicken n cheese empanadas. They were really good, especially when you top them with that green or pink sauce. The guy and lady who work there provide excellent customer service. I highly recommend.

    Beef Chimi
    Damaris F.

Ordered the beef chimi through ubereats. Came at a decent time and food was still warm. The chimi tasted different than what I'm used to. It had mozzarella cheese and the seasoning was different. Can't really tell if it's Goya packet sazón or some kind of spices. It was good. Just different.

Every worker was amazing. The empanadas were the best I've ever, ever had. Crispy outside. Great filling to ratio. Seasoned well. Not oily. The flavor was soft and delicate. Again the best one I've ever had. Sweet, fresh and the juxtaposition of seasoning to meat and cheese and plantsin was beyond delicious. They also have good Columbian sodas. The apple and cola weren't overly sweet. The pork chicharon ceviche was again the best I've ever tasted. The chicharon here is impeccable. The onions weren't soggy and weren't potent. The blended well with the citrus and chicharon. The bandeja paisa was outstanding. Every protein was cooked perfectly. We ordered steaks that were juicy. The veggies amazing. The cgar grilled tasted yes. Theres an onion and tomato side I could eat plates with the rice. Thats how good it was. The guava and apple empanadas were like fall in the mouth. Well be back. Street parking; only a few seats to eat inside. Basically a To Go place. These empanadas were awesome!! Big & stuffed with a very nice crispy, fried shell. ( they offer mini sized empanadas too) There are many options of Savory fillings, but I wish they had more "sweet\dessert" types. Which brings me to my favorite: the Guava & Mozzarella Cheese empanada... Best one I've ever had. For upcoming St. Patricks Day (for a limited time) they have -- The Reuben- filled with Smoked Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese & Sauerkraut. EMPAN-TASTIC! Wish I had a beer. -the Cuban Pork empanada made with an 8-hours smoked pork, with ham and mozzarella was very good, but I wasn't a big fan of the Sweet Thai Chicken empanada with, sweet Thai chili sauce, scallion and cilantro.. Maybe I was full... The fries are old school. Reminded me of boardwalk fries. Some a little greasy. Some a little overcooked & crunchy.. So if you like empanadas, you need to give this place a shot.

I had a memory of this place from a previous visit to this area and remembered that they had available different flavors of empanadas. I also noticed another similar place like this one on Yelp, and since they both had good reviews, I decided to try them both. This shop is very small. It had no place to sit down. You kind of order what you like from there case of already made empanadas and other lil small bites. They also have a lot of information about smoothies and options to buy. When I got there, their were two customers literally standing in front of the small counter, eating their empanadas, and just receiving their smoothies. While I waited, I took some pictures and kept waiting for someone to address me or ask me for my order. I finally excused myself to the other customers, blocking the counter and standing in front of the window case of food, and asked the guy for a cheeseburger empanada. I found the empanada to be warm and not hot enough, but it was still very tasty, and therefore, I rate three stars. Only for the taste of the empanada because although the guy who gave me my empanada was pleasant, the customer service I felt needed some work. I think if I never asked for my empanada, I may would have kept standing there waiting. After having the empanadas at the other establishment, I'm gonna have to pass on this one. I still will give a thumbs up because the empanada itself deserved it. Happy Yelping!

As much as I ordered, there is a whole lot more that appears on their menu after scanning the QR Codes on the tables. The Canchita is a nice crunchy snack on its own, but is kicked up a notch with the green sauce. If you like popcorn, try the canchita. The Lomo Saltado Empanadas are good and very good relative to empanadas I have had elsewhere, but the Chicharron Empanadas are where it's at here. The pork belly is not too fatty and the flavor and texture will keep these on steady rotation every time you come here. The Huancaina sauce over the fettuccine pasta with the small pieces of smoked pork rib meat will remind you of pancetta, but the Huancaina sauce is familiar with a cheesy and creamy texture that barely hints at the yellow peppers in the sauce. This is comfort food that accompanies the Pollo a la Brasa with the green sauce perfectly. They could have been more generous with the pork rib in this dish and the pieces are so small I had to taste them alone to know how they taste, otherwise becoming lost in the sauce. The Shmrip Chaufa, which, like the fettuccine, can be ordered with several proteins, hints at the East Asian influence on Peruvian cuisine, similar to the Lomo Saltado. It's a great fried rice, that elsewhere would go well with soy sauce. Here, the green sauce is on order. The salad that came with the family meal is crisp lettuce, tomato and cucumber with their bright vinaigrette dressing and it cuts across the rich and savory flavors you experience here. I reserved the last, but not least, for the Pollo a la Brasa. You will start eating this with a knife and fork, but end cleaning the bones with your hands in mouth. This is where you'll get down and don't care who is watching as you devour this chicken, where the flavor and texture of the crisp skin, gives way to tender and juicy chicken and ends with the flavor of the bones. The skin was crisp after coming out of my oven at home and would come out even better in a convection oven or air fryer. As good as the Lomo Saltado is, the Pollo a la Brasa is better in my opinion. The green sauce puts this chicken over the top and this chicken must be among the best roasted or rotisserie chicken you can find among the five boroughs. The coffee flan is very good. I am not one who can evaluate flan, given I don't eat it often. I don't have a sweet tooth typically. However, I appreciated the texture and contrast with the coffee. My total for all this came to $160 before tip, which is not bad for this amount of quality food and befitting of the Michelin Bib Gourmand rating. One well known chain of Peruvian restaurants in the City will charge you the same family meal price for one chicken and it will not be as good. It's midweek and I'm still eating and the other chicken is in the freezer for another time. 4.3 very returnworthy stars!
