A local store with staff and owners that really care. I discussed an idea with them and they ended up being interested. They could've stuck with the plan and probably make significantly more profit and it wouldn't have been a wrong decision. Their brand and reputation was more important to them, and they didn't feel that the transition would be a positive transition for them overall. I had a personal experience happen lately that affected their decision to continue. I wouldn't have liked them any less had they felt the best direction for them was to continue with that idea. This personal experience was borderline shame for my family. They are thinking why would I associate myself with so and so and this and that, but I try to be open to all places and environments- especially if I have a reason to be at such and such a place, etc. I used to be a teacher and probably had to teach some of the people's kids or their relatives or work with some of them, and ironically, my family wanted me to be a teacher at one point. While that experience was a struggle for me including not understanding or being okay with people being disrespectful, one thing that never changed was my heart for the kids, their families, and all the staff I worked with. They could see this and I never had to ask. I always worked on how I could mesh well with others very different than me constantly. I don't regret my teaching experiences despite how painful it was for me. Thank you, Craft Beer Store, for treating your customers like they are human and not just another number. Physical violence is NOT a solution to any kind of misunderstanding or conflict, and the Craft Beer Store will not stand up for such nonsense. I would've never thought communicating with a store could become such a positively personal experience for me. Who knew the Craft Beer Store was a bar? If you did know, why didn't you tell everybody? It is a funky cool eclectic fun bar with many beer choices. Spencer is the new bartender and appears to be a fine young man. Leslie hosts quizzo on wednesday and is a joy to talk to. I got the cheesesteak egg rolls with Craft Beer Store made sriracha ketchup. They were good. They were more spring roll than egg roll. I got the cider donut beer. It tasted just like a cider donut. They have pool tables downstairs. Just found this place, and dropped in the check it out. Pat, the new owner, was very friendly, as was his bartender. If you're looking for an unusual craft beer, Pat's your guy.... He promised if I was looking for anything special, he'd have it in a week. That's service! It's not anything fancy as a bar, small food menu and limited booze - but it's really all about the beer, and they do have more than 20 taps to choose from and a wall of coolers, at least half is "pick six". When I travel out of the way for something like a prospective job contact I don't normally base my after gathering spot around something like grabbing a couple craft beers. But when I literally come across CRAFT BEER STORE on the Google Map I find myself making an exception, and when I did I discovered a beer filled wonderland that almost had me comparing it to some of the best beer shops that I've ever shopped upon. And overall while this craft beer store had some significant wins above many of the other ones that I've been to It did also see a couple of flaws. But between the many stacked coolers of beer, the well rounded mix of beer specials, a pizza and sandwich heavy food menu, and a bar that touts 30 taps and $7.99 beer flights, it gives you plenty to enjoy! For my beer flight I was pleasantly pleased with the Suburban Beverage sour gose from Perennial, the Red Velvet stout from Ballast Point, The Wee Heavy Scotch Ale from Heavy Seas, and the Zydeco King Cake Ale from Saucony Creek. But, even after subtracting the couple more expensive beers that they don't include on the flight deal, there were still an abundant amount of options for you to craft you own winning flight with. While I looked over the coolers for some take aways I was able to savor the Porc Noir black IPA from Sterling Pig. the only real caveat I had with Craft Beer Store was that it didn't list any prices in the coolers. But between stellar beers from just about every country, a couple coolers with 1/2 off brews, and $1 beers to turn what they're trying to get out of stock into a damn good deal, and you're bound to find some reasons to splurge! read more

The selection impressed me. I knew I would have to come back another time. The ability to pick a beer in the back and then enjoy it at the bar is quite appealing. Lauderdale) honor system beer choice, chill atmosphere, simple bar with taps, and updates happening to make it a better gathering place. I would have questioned this but it took the women working almost ten minutes to ring me up, and there were some very dirty very drunk looking guys being very loud at the small bar there so I just wanted to get the heck out of there. And you can make your own six-pack of your favorites. And quite a few on draft. Even more impressive than their selection was the staff. Located on Baltimore pike, this new craft beer shop has been a pleasant surprise to the neighborhood. I really enjoy building my own 6 packs. Although it can get pricy its fun to pick our the tasty libations. They have about 10 fridges with cold bottles or you can walk through the shelves and break up the six packs. Each bottle is individually priced and can get pricy for a six pack. I have to say its hard for me to walk out with a sixer under $20 but hey I like good craft beer. They also have 30 beers on tap. You can sit at the counter and enjoy a draft of there is a few tables in the front of the store. You can also get a growler or a crowler filled. They have a lot of events as well, breweries from all over have samplings and some type of promotions. A try to hit up at least once a week when I need my beer fix. Really cool beer spot out in Philly's suburbs which I hadn't even planned to stop by. My uncle knows I enjoy craft beer and on the way past he mentioned it. I will say walking in we did get some strange looks but I'm going to say that is because we weren't regulars. So I hope anyway. Any who they had a very good selection which also included a discount rack. Scored a Hershey Strawberry bomber for $1! For logistics sake, when you walk in there is a bar with many taps. Just behind that the rest of the left wall is coolers but the beers are separated by type. On the right there are shelves of room temp beers also separated by types. I finally stopped in a week ago to use a gift card I had and was blown away by the selection. That being said the prices are a little steep but not a deal breaker when it comes to a great beer. However what is a deal breaker is out of date beer. I bought a couple mixed six packs which I was looking forward to. I opened the first a Rock Art brewing ipa that had a stale taste and when I found the date it was 6 months old. Today I opened warpigs ipa didn't think to look at the date again it tasted stale looked on the bottom of the can and it was canned on 4/29/19, today is January 19, 2020 (See picture below). That's unacceptable this should have been off the shelf. Well I guess buyer beware and if you do choose to go here buy all means check the dates on the cans/bottles. Staff was nice and the selection was great but quality control is not good. I will be stopping in to let them know because again they're charging top dollar for the beer there and they should be accountable for the product on their shelves...Buyer Beware I posted a picture of the evidence below. read more

Be sure to check the freshness dates on your IPAs. I popped open a Hopsecutioner from Terrapin and wondered why it was so malty. Sure enough can was 6 weeks past its best by date. I'm not from this area but I have been in this store a few times. The man who runs the store is very nice. He had over 28 beers on draft and was very nice about me asking for samples. They fill growlers here and also have 64 oz growlers and 32 oz cans to fill for various prices (based upon the beer) I have no complaints. I happened upon this store today when trying to find Kona Big Wave Ale outside of the typical variety pack everywhere locally is selling. Let me just say if you're someone who enjoys a local or specialty beer this is the place to go! They sell singles, 6 and 12 packs and man who runs the store was more than helpful. The concept is there, the service is there. Unfortunately, the rotation of product is not. My advice to anyone shopping here is to double check the bottom of the cans or side of bottles for best before dates. I don't mind paying a premium for some quality brew, but at these prices, I expect the beer to at LEAST be in date. Too much space I assume. Super cool place. They have a small seating area up front and the staff are super helpful and friendly. A really cool selection of beer on tap, with a very impressive selection of single bottles. You can walk throughout the store and pick any single bottle from the shelf. I was buying a mixed six pack as a gift, and I bought a standard six pack. The only disappointment is that there are no prices listed on the shelves. I bought two six packs and it was $50. That is astronomical. Okay - I could have asked for the prices and I did not expect it to be "cheap," but $50???? I will definitely stop back to try one of the craft beers on tap, but I will not be buying singles any more. I will return to Pinocchios Beer Garden to do that. read more
