Nice little place!!! Can't wait to see this place grow. Great service too!! They have rotating taps and a large set of coolers with a growing selection of bottles. Ambience is casual and welcoming, large for groups - wonder if they'll do classes?!?! Oooh.

Craft Beer Cellar is a premier place to go for craft beers and IPAs, friendly staff and great ambiance. I highly recommend this place for any aficionado in beers and a great environment

Couldn't quite get the fourth panel, but you get the idea!

The store it self was unique because it's a liquor store but is has Bbq to go, pizzas, fresh rib eyes, cheeses, take and bake food, sandwiches, liquor, beer, wine, cigars etc. Unfortunately the Bbq is cooked in batches and sold out of the deli case cold that you have to reheat, not a big deal for me. I followed my rule that if you smell smoke when you walk in, I'm getting the full slab even though it's wrapped in foil and I couldn't see them. The full slab was very reasonable at $16.95 by the way. At first unwrapping I'm like dam nice bark and look how meaty the rack is, I hate that some places give you thin and bone racks so thank you for a nice rack. After heating up a third of the rack the bark came to life and was tasty, thick and sticky. The ribs were very meaty/tasty with that nice pink smoke ring but not very Smokey. The rib meat was moist and pulled clean off the bone. While there I bought a package of jalapeño meat sticks and a Czech beer from 1842, Pilsner Uequell imported it says. For a liquor store doing Bbq I'm giving them 4 stars because the ribs were good and they use meaty racks and at $16.95 for a full rack it's a good value. I would definitely get these take and bake Bbq ribs again and try other Bbq items from here.

Two locations and this one in Waukesha I am reviewing. Family owned and operated. If you aren't from the area than you don't realize what this liquor store offers. If you are from this area or the one in West Allis, then you probably are spoiled with what they have to offer! I rarely go in and not find what I am looking for (except at times beers and sometimes wines). That's not a knock... what place provides you with any wine you want? What sets Discount Liquor apart is the knowledge experts in wines. They were voted as 50 best wine stores in America... you have a question, ask and you shall receive. Price is good on most, cheaper than some but the variety is unsurpassed... maybe besides Total Wines. If you can't find something talk to an employee and they will help you with ordering it or find a close replacement. I have been looking for Rombauer Zin and they made a suggestion to go with Truett-Hurst Zin and we agreed, it is a close match. I love how they divide the store and categorize sections and again, you will find it difficult to find a better value and service.

Information on Skatterbrain is next to non-existent, but I can tell you that my "research" revealed all of their whiskeys share one thing in common (well maybe two if you include they're all fun flavors). That commonality is they all have an animal wearing sunglasses on the bottle. In the case of the Dark Chocolate banana Whiskey, it's appropriately a gorilla. Total Wine (where I purchased it) describes it as smooth Canadian whisky blended with the flavors of dark chocolate and banana with rich, fruity, and complex qualities. I question the reliability of that though as Skatterbrain spells it as "whiskey" on their bottle, which is typical of American and Irish Whiskey, but not Canadian "Whisky". I found the chocolate flavor to be stronger than the banana, but the two make an interesting combo. I wasn't bananas about it initially, but it grew on me, making it an acquired taste. I don't know how others drink this, but I found it worked nicely in my version of a "Dirty Monkey" (recipe below). Although I found this whiskey to my liking, I still prefer my go to banana rum for this type of drink. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews Doughboy Dirty Monkey: -30-50ml Dark Chocolate Banana Whiskey -5 oz milk of choice -1 tsp sugar free chocolate syrup -21g chocolate protein powder -1/4 diced large banana or 1/3 medium banana -1 tsp peanut butter -4 medium sized ice cubs -approximately 1/2 tsp xanthan gum to thicken -Blend well in a standard blender, pour and enjoy

We entered and meandered as we always do entering a Kwik Trip. We made our rounds looking at all they had prepared. The store was clean and actively being tended to by their staff. I had my heart set on a sweet tea, but alas the tea had not been brewed with a note saying unavailable for today's date. We jokingly dramatized our grief for this occurrence and were overheard by a staff member. Enter Xavier. I quickly told him it was totally fine, and I would certainly live without it. He checked all the tanks and even agreed with me that the unsweet tea (the only full tank) was disgraceful and a sin. I carried on selecting one of their numerous other quality beverage options, and before I knew it Xavier had returned with a coupon for a free beverage. I was astounded and grateful to receive that albeit totally unnecessary. How kind was he! It was as if he took personal accountability for the mishap; what company integrity and behavior! I thought this gesture was so sweet, and while not expecting anything for such a silly little event, it's certainly a nice change of pace in our current world of customer service. Upon checkout, the cashier, Maya, handled the our transaction just as pleasant and friendly as ever. This location certainly has some of the best staff across the brand and makes us feel appreciated as customers so matter how small the purchase.

I took my coupons and left. I'd rather not deal with this woman or location at all. How this woman still has a job here is beyond me. I've been coming here for years and she has never once smiled, has never once properly greeted me or other guest and gives a stupid stare when you ask how she is doing. If you have been to this location, you know the woman.

The staff was accommodating about turning on the specific basketball game on that we wanted to watch (March Madness was going on). We had one designated server which made service slower than I would have expected for a party of our size. But she hustled and stayed on top of things for the most part. Their menu online does NOT match the menus they have at the restaurant. As a vegetarian I always peruse menus online to make sure there's something I can eat. They had impossible burgers listed online and not on the printed menu. Turns out they are phasing out the impossible patties and had one available for me (yay!) I liked my burger but thought the tots were way better than the fries I ordered. Someone in our party ordered a chicken pot pie and it was HUGE. Incredible portion for the price, wow. Another big hit at our table was the beer cheese and the alcoholic shakes (Blue Moon and Shamrock). Theres a big arcade inside which was popular with the kiddos. Overall, I think it's a solid spot to watch a Brewer's game and have some bar food. Try the Chicken Pot Pie!

New management/ownership and it's unfortunate to see this place slide. I'll start out by saying…read morethe food here has never been amazing. Frozen burger patties for sure, it was bar food with slightly upscale beer variety for adults and a kids meal served on a frisbee for their plate for the young ones with discounted arcade card options with meals. Overall fun and worth a trip every so often for a family meal out. This weekend we first noticed new smaller menus, simple can be ok, no big deal. But we could tell it was new ownership the second our appetizer came out. Portions for our usual fried pickles were legitimately enough for one person served in a dish that could fit a single scoop of ice cream. Weird. One server was wearing the equivalent of hot pants and really should not have been... floors were sticky... and I could see the filth around the handle of the walk in cooler behind the bar.... so I can only imagine the state of the kitchen. The arcade is gross now and not only were a ton of games not in service but some were half pulled away from walls/clearly unkempt. When I say dirty, I mean filthy. It's an arcade, I get it, but it's clear that NO ONE here cares or takes pride in running a clean and organized restaurant/establishment. The kid behind the counter probably isn't paid enough to keep it clean and organized but he does get paid enough to literally play arcade games in between customers... because he did. And hey, maybe that's a perk of this job. But management should then hire someone to wipe the games down at least once per shift. Our server was polite and timely- she also worked here before the change in ownership since I remembered her and none of these things were a reflection of her so I shall not name names. These symptoms start with a lack of management and high standards in the service industry. I really hope they can get it in gear because there's really no appeal to go back as of now.
