So with high hopes for a beautiful formal gown I had purchased with believing I could just go get altered due to straps a lil too long and needing to be taken in a lil in breast area. The lady told me she was too old and too difficult for her, she then said it's not too difficult of an alter just for her. she never had me try it on too see how much needed taken in just said no she couldn't do it. While I appreciate her honesty, I did not appreciate wasting My time for a place that does alterations to respond this way.

I googled some local options and Kim's came up and had excellent reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. To say the least, I am happy I came here. She is so friendly and nice. It only cost $14 to dry clean the entire ASU; pants, shirt, and jacket. I dropped it off on a Thursday and she first said it would be ready by Tuesday. When I told her that I needed it sooner, she had it ready on Saturday. Just a great little shop! If I would have found this place sooner; I would have had her do my tailoring. So, if you need uniforms tailored and dry cleaned; come here first!! She is such a nice and professional person; and felt like a true community business. The only downfall, which is not her fault, but the parking lot NEEDS to be repaved... so be careful, some of the biggest potholes I've seen.

When I asked him how much it would be to hem my wife's dress he said that his prices are comparable to other alterations places. All the other times that I've had my wife's dresses hemmed it would cost less than $30. Even her wedding dress which was fully altered cost about 110. I have never paid more than $28.00 to hem a simple dress. But when I picked up my wife's dress it cost $90. That is more than triple what it should cost. I went to go put the dress in the car and realize I did not get a receipt so I went in and he gave a face about me asking for a receipt. He wrote out a receipt that looked sketch. He would not listen to anything that I said and just kept saying that it is $80 and he's doing me a favor. I went to two other alterations places and they quoted me a price of $24 or round about. I think I will file a police report because I don't want others to be scammed.
