I love the fact that there's a routine to the children's day. Everyone eats a healthy breakfast (family style), there's circle time, read alouds, outdoor fun, units of study (right now my daughter's learning about water), nap, lunch, snack, art . . . You get the picture. Upon enrolling your child, the teacher does a one-on-one to establish goals for your child. We receive a daily report of what she ate, what she learned and what times her diapers were changed. This is huge! There's also a big sense of community. For example, the director had movie night with pop corn and goodies to provide families without air conditioning a moment of reprieve. Every teacher in the schoolhouse knows the children there. The play-based approach, small class sizes, and consistent structure create an environment where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. What stands out most is the strong sense of community. Stepping Stones genuinely feels like a family. The teachers take the time to know each child as an individual and communicate thoughtfully with parents, which has made such a difference for us. Our son has a speech delay, and since starting at Stepping Stones, we have seen remarkable growth. He is saying so many new words, engaging more with peers, and absolutely loves going to school. Seeing his confidence and joy increase has been incredibly meaningful for our family. In addition to the exceptional care and education, Stepping Stones offers **excellent value**. They were involved, it was obvious that they cared about him, and they got him where he needed to be. The school has activities to get the kids and parents involved. When one family was experiencing a hardship, they put out a letter asking for help (while keeping the family's identity private). I thought it was a nice gesture.
