I went to support one of my friends who was performing for open mic night. Other comedians on stage were solid, but a minute into his set, the guy running the timer (the headliner) interrupted and essentially yanked him off stage for saying the F word. Mind you, this guy then proceeds to be the "Main Event" and gets up there and receives 0 laughs, while saying the same "bad" word. Once the audience caught on to how terrible he was, they began to heckle him back, to which he proceeded to make insults and rude comments. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Spend your time and money at another comedy club. I've attached a picture of the headliner.

Great venue with responsive and friendly staff. I have been to this location twice within the past 45 days and have had a wonderful experience each time. The check in was seamless and I purchased preferred seating for each event. The first time we were sat at the ledge off of the stage and the second just a bit off to the side at a table. Both locations were great and I highly recommend the additional charge for preferred! We came to the 7pm show on Friday both times and opted to have dinner here. The food isn't anything spectacular, but they have something for everyone and it's quick and tasty. Between the two of us, we have ordered the nachos, garlic cheese bread, chicken tenders, and chicken wrap with fries. The garlic cheese bread is my favorite of the selection. For drinks, we keep it simple and just order bottled beer, so nothing to report on their shots or other drinks. Overall, a great experience!

Been here twice and each time it's pretty cool. Atmosphere is nice , the drinks aren't too expensive and it's honestly no frills in many ways. Two item Minimum isn't difficult to manage and that doesn't mean just alcohol. I loved it, even if I got stood up each time, it's ok, the comedy is grand here, visit often. Chairs are a little uncomfortable, but other than that this is a funny spot

Our act was great! She performed on HBO and the local warm-up was hilarious. I'll definitely keep an eye out for him. Tickets at the door must be paid in cash. For drinks (2 minimum), you can use your card. Drinks are a little over-priced for what you get. It's nothing special. Service was slow when it was maybe half full on a Friday night at 9pm.

This is the first time I've ever attended a stand up comedy act. I must say Crackers knows how to make it feel like home. They offer drinks as well as food for those that are starving, like me ;) Upon walking into the building there is an Indian restaurant to grab grub before the show perhaps if you make time, there is a bar upstairs in the entrance lobby to the Crackers Indy theater where the real show starts. The decor itself was very muted, black and red for the most part and a dj booth in the back. After the show the comedians stand out in the lobby and you can take pictures or buy cds. Crackers was very accommodating and as for the staff going around taking orders there were no actual distractions from the show itself. Their choice in comedians were excellent. I definitely enjoyed myself and will be back to see some more shows. Thank you for making my first experience a solid one !

I have had an absolute blast each time I saw a show here. The smaller acts are often better than the headliner. Sweet waitresses. Decent drink prices. An overall clean facility with a great atmosphere. Keep it up guys!

This is a great place to go for a good time. There's not a bad seat in the place but I would recommend getting the Preferred Seating for a few dollars more. We were seated first and sat right at the stage. Fun night.

I love comedy shows so we have been to several shows (mostly the previously open Crackers in Broad Ripple). If you complete the comment card and join the email club, you often get notified of shows first and can win free tickets to shows. However, the tickets that are "free" will include fees if you complete online. Aside from that, you're still seeing a show for less than what you would've paid at the door. We came to see an act downtown and it was a Thursday night so smaller crowd. We were told to wait to be seated and since it was a slim crowd, we were told to sit front row off of the stage, when we asked if we could have a different spot (because not everyone wants to look up at the performer the whole show, you know) we got an awesome eye roll from the employee. Any comedy show here requires a two-drink minimum which truthfully deters us from coming sometimes, especially when you do pay to see an act and then find out you have to purchase two drinks when you're not even thirsty. There's a lot of unwritten, "read the fine print" details that are blatantly hidden.

This place is awesome! Great atmosphere, great service, and hilarious comedians, with a strong focus on supporting local comics. I was visiting out of town and I came for an open mic night. The crowd was a lot of fun, there was a nice variety of different types of humor from the comedians, and I even had a chance to run into David Letterman in the hallway since he was checking out the club that night for a casual night out on the town! Surreal! I will definitely come back and check out another show next time I am in Indianapolis.

My friends and I with Kevin Downey Jr.! He's hilarious and weird and I love it! #siiip

I love comedy clubs and since this is one of the few in town, I'm here often! I'm super mad that the Brip location closed though. That location feels more like home to me. They have a great text club so you can get discounted tickets! Decent deals on drinks. There is a two drink minimum, but that includes non-alcoholic beverages (even bottled water). I wish they would change the Crackers sign onstage though because there is a glare from one of the lights that I could not hide from for an entire show and it sucked!

Nice intimate setting. Can feel the energy from those on stage. Loved that our waitress was a budding comedian and did a set on stage.

They have a bar and a few tables you can use, but your tab in that area doesn't apply in the show room. Depending on where you're seated, you could end up pretty close to another table. The last time I was here, we never recieved an entree we ordered - so we figured our server just forgot to ring it in. It turned out fine since we had a couple of appetizers to snack on. I guess it worked out in our favor, as we didn't have to worry about meeting the two item minimum per person! Shoutout to Janelle James (principle from Abbott Elementary) - she was HILARIOUS!

You can sometimes find street parking or something at the Circle Center Mall. The venue doesn't seem new and very well maintained. Some of the chairs are falling apart and it doesn't seem super clean. It is a comedy club though so not exactly there for the ambiance. My first time was to see Comedienne Sarah Sherman, then my first ever Drag Brunch which was Wicked Themed and incredible. Last Sunday I saw the Heated Rivalry Drag Brunch and am strongly considering retuning for Y2K one next month. The service can be hit or miss. The way the food is presented is inconsistent. Sometimes you get mimosa served in a Bud Light bucket other times you get a carafe. I had food served in a plastic container while others had actual plates. The prices for food & drinks are reasonable but there is a 2 item minimum purchase per person in addition to the tickets. I was sad to have missed Michael Che recently but Kevin Smith who directed Mallrats, Clerks, Chasing Amy Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob etc will be there soon. They do get some pretty good talent at Helium. I'll be back to catch another show.

Gutty's Comedy Club is a still fairly new comedy club located in Greenwood, Indiana that features…read moreexclusively clean, family-friendly comedy. The club, which is also alcohol-free, is located in a small retail center area directly next to a Dollar General and directly in front of the Greenwood location of Jockamo's Pizza. I'd wanted to visit Gutty's since they'd opened in Fall 2019, but hadn't really had the opportunity. After being taken down by some health issues in November, I've been mostly homebound since late November/early December. Tonight was my second "public" outing outside of a Christmas Eve service/dinner and some doctor's appointments. I was there to catch Rick Garrett, who is Yelp Elite Rick G. for those who don't know, and who was the headliner for two shows this weekend. I produced a comedy DVD for Rick in 2019. The parking lot is kind of small, though you can find other spots around the building I'd imagine. There's one accessible spot directly between Dollar General and Gutty's. The entryway is level to the ground, while the two-sided glass door is fairly easy to manage. As a wheelchair user, I was easily able to enter. The actual club spice offers a variety of multi-seat tables organized quite nicely. They have 3 public restrooms - each is single-user, though the third of the three is actually designated as accessible. I would imagine someone in a wheelchair could easily sit almost anywhere in the room, though the stage itself is not wheelchair friendly as it has a couple of small steps up to it. Gutty's offers what they call a Gutty Snack Pack for $8 - it includes a slice of Jockamo's Pizza, a bag of chips, and a soft drink (or water). The soft drinks are cans; the water is bottled water. They also had some other small snacky items like candy bars. The concession is open until the show starts - then also briefly after the show. It's refreshing to have a show not interrupted by snacks, servers, etc. Gutty's follows the usual comedy show structure - a host, a guest, a feature, and the headliner. Tonight's show featured Justin Kelly doing an opening set (and performing for the first time in front of family), Kentucky's Rob Wilfong as the featured act (fantastic set), and Yelp Elite Rick G. as the headliner (who is always funny). While you may not immediately think of "clean" comedy as funny, I assure you it can be very funny and most consider it to be more challenging than your usual club comedy. All three were a blast. The Gutty's stage also hosts other entertainment options and is looking to become more involved in the Greenwood entertainment scene. They also offer opportunities for sponsorship and for getting involved (mostly as volunteers). The facility itself has a casual, mostly intimate feeling. The room is still a bit of a work in progress, but I absolutely loved it. Tickets typically run $15 in advance and $20 day of show. So far, they've hosted a variety of comics - I'm particularly interested in a February 7-8 weekend featuring Michael Joiner, a comic turned actor who was featured in The Grace Card. This next weekend, local faves Dave Wilson and Dave Dugan will be making appearances. If you join their "Gutty Club," e-mail or text, you get access to special offers, news on dates, the possibility of winning tickets, and rumor has it maybe even something on your birthday. If you've ever wanted a comedy experience where you can take the entire family, then Gutty's is definitely the answer. While we didn't have kids in the audience tonight, Rick told me a couple of children were present last night and had a blast. This is a growing facility and certainly "local." It's a great place to check out local/regional acts while having a good time and supporting a local business. After my last few weeks of major health issues, I needed some true laughs and definitely got them tonight. I look forward to returning.

I've only had two opportunities to see IndyProv perform - both at this and last year's Laff-A-Thon at Theatre on the Square. So this review is for those performances, and not any of their standard shows (although I won tickets, so I will write an update when I see them perform outside of LaffAThon). They have a great cast of players and it's fun to watch. I have to subtract one star because the comedy can get a little "mature" at times which means that it's not appropriate for all ages and sensibilities. Doesn't bother me, but I did think that it should have been PG at the Laff A Thon since there were some younger children present. It's possible that their normal shows are not all-ages and therefore it's not an issue. However, if you are easily offended, maybe you should skip it ;-) My only other critique is that sometimes the skits seem more funny for the players than for the audience. I think a strong "leader" during the different games would be helpful in steering the skit. These folks worked HARD at the Laff-A-Thon (12 hours of comedy has to be painful!) and I gotta throw out mad props!
