We stopped at Cracker Barrel during our trip from St. Louis to Chicago to use the restroom and ended up exploring the shop. Although we didn't eat, we were impressed by the variety of cute and unique items! I found two adorable Christmas ornaments for my dad that I couldn't resist. One suggestion: they could use clearer signs for where the line starts. I stood in an aisle waiting for the cashier, only to be told that the line was actually in the middle aisle. A little more guidance would make the shopping experience even better. Overall, though, Cracker Barrel is a fun stop for charming finds!

They only have fried turkey in November. Sadly, they did not see the photo, ran out of stuffing, it was noon. No cranberry relish and wrong, WRONG gravy. No gravy on potatoes, though she asked what kind of gravy I wanted on the potatoes. (There's better places for breakfast. ) This is my last visit

Strawberry mimosa, so good

Never again on a Sunday. It was extremely crowded and the wait to be seated was an hour and fifteen minutes. Then another hour to receive food. There were thirteen of us to feed. Staff and management was very kind and worked hard to make sure we were comfortable while waiting for our food. My brother and I started with strawberry and peach mimosas which were delicious. Then they brought out hot biscuits and honey. We sat and talked and enjoyed each other. Of course, when our food came, there was a bit less talking and a lot more chewing. We all enjoyed our food. We did a little shopping making purchases of old school candies and creative Christmas ornaments. Love Cracker Barrel, we'll be back, but not on Sunday.

I actually really like Cracker Barrel. I got their southern fried chicken and had Mac and cheese and also potatoes on the side. The mac & cheese was good, but I honestly did not want to eat it because there was a small black hair in it. So I got rid of it. I probably should have said something to the waitress but I just didn't eat it. The cornbread was good. My fiancé ordered the meatloaf which honestly looked terrible but was really delicious. He loved the dumplings and enjoyed the okra. The loaded hash brown casserole tots were really good as well. I did enjoy those. They have a beautiful store with a lot of cool gift ideas and many drinks and snacks to choose from.

The service was good. The food was cold. I enjoy the restaurant's ambience. I am not a fan of its name.

She is just as friendly and lovely. The vibe is lively. The music is loud, and their bar area is nice, with TVs throughout. Hubby ordered the steak and potatoes, and I ordered the fish and chips. We both enjoyed our meals. Hubby said his steak was seasoned really well, and he took half of my fish, which he also said was really good, and I agree. This is a great neighborhood staple, and we will definitely be back to try one of their burgers.

This one reminds me of Commanders on Ridge Road in Munster ... same kind of menu where there seems to be limitless choices, breakfast is served essentially all day, the owners are there running the front, and the customers are on the old side ... me included. In fact, many of the waitstaff are also in that age group and are a fine bunch of help ... nice service. The dining room is large and can be sectioned off for a larger party. Now to keep a menu with scores of choices going, many dishes are near identical to others with slight changes of salad or gravy or accompaniments. But that said, as long as you know what you bargained for, this place is really very nice. We often get the daily specials, and it often is a crowd pleaser being the freshest. Grilled cheese and all the breakfasts are also wonderful any time of day. This restaurant has a full service bar, with rock bottom prices on the wines ... don't know about the cocktail selections. This isn't a steakhouse, and doesn't specialize in chicken; it's a family-style general restaurant that serves up a number of nice dishes. This is Orland's Greek restaurant ... you should give it a try.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by extremely friendly staff who made us feel welcome right away. The service started off great and stayed that way the entire time. We were seated very quickly and didn't have to wait long at all. The food came out fresh and hot, and no joke; everything we tried was extremely delicious. We decided to try a little bit of everything so we could really experience the menu. We ordered the oxtails, Alfredo pasta, lamb chops, fried catfish, rib tips, baked mac & cheese, and candied yams, and every single dish was on point. The flavors were incredible and everything was cooked perfectly. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant was. Even the bathrooms were spotless, which always says a lot about a place. Great food, great service, and a clean environment; you can't ask for much more than that. Hands down a 10/10 experience. The only thing that could of been better was the rice. The ambience is chill and relaxing. Super friendly and welcoming staff. I will certainly come back to this location.

The menu is surprisingly broad, with plenty of appealing options. Our server--who was also tending bar--took our drink orders. Soft drinks arrived promptly, and we asked for a few extra minutes to look things over. I considered a burger, but at $25 it felt a bit steep, so we went with a mix of other dishes: Cedar Plank Salmon with Basil Soup, a Keto Cobb Salad with dressing on the side, The Park Reuben with fries, and a Blackened Chicken Panini with fries. Impressively, everything came out in about ten minutes. The Reuben and the Panini were both solid choices, though the fries were only room temperature. The salmon had great flavor, though the rice could have been a bit more cohesive. The Cobb salad hit the mark--fresh, satisfying, and easy to customize with the dressing on the side. Our server checked in regularly and kept our drinks refilled. The crowd was a mix of regulars, retirees, and casual diners, and we found ourselves eyeing other entrées as they passed by. The restaurant also has a great patio that will be perfect once the weather warms up, plus a well‑appointed bar area with plenty of TVs. Winter Olympics highlights were playing during our visit, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. We took a look at the dessert menu, but nothing really grabbed us this time. Even so, we all agreed we'd come back to try more of the menu--there's definitely potential here.

The flavors were great, sandwich portions were large, but fries could have been crispier. Our server Souzie was incredibly kind, full of energy, and did a great job checking in on us. The items vary in price where some are value driven and some seem to be a premium. Overall, thoroughly impressed by my visit and the food quality. If you're a seafood lover, this is the place to dive into. Jumbo Shrimp -- A Must-Try! The star of the show was definitely the jumbo shrimp -- plump, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Each bite delivered a sweet, briny flavor. Whether dipped in cocktail sauce, buffalo sauce or plain, these shrimp were easily the best I've had in a long time. When they say jumbo, they mean jumbo! I don't think I've ever had larger shrimp. We also ordered lake perch, and brought it home for dinner. We heated it in the air fryer and it was just as good as the shrimp! Both were coated in a light breading, that did not take away from the fish, and fried to a golden brown. They have so many varieties of fish, that we will certainly be back again to try more. Final Thoughts If you're craving top-tier jumbo shrimp and seafood with fresh flavors, Frank's does not disappoint. Highly recommended for seafood lovers and anyone looking to treat themselves to something delicious from the sea! They also serve chicken, and have many sandwich selections, that I can only imagine are just as good! Also should add that the owners are so friendly and nice!
