This review is just about the store/market area. On our road trip, my friend wanted Toxic Waste candy and some peelable sweets, so we stopped by Cracker Barrel. It was my first time ever in one, and I was super surprised! I always thought Cracker Barrel was just a restaurant, so I had no idea they had a store too. (Honestly, I think I kept confusing Cracker Barrel x Old Country Buffet)... The store had all sorts of cute stuff--clothes, toys, candies, and some little extras like table decorations. They offered a handful of Hello Kitty items, which I really wanted to buy; but I knew I wouldn't have room in my luggage to bring any back home. They also had a small collection of enamel pins, so I picked up a couple, they had things from Stitch to Scooby-Doo, and a bunch of other cartoon pins. The staff was super friendly. :) read more

I love Cracker Barrel because it's a nostalgic experience for my husband and I to take our son. Obviously the atmosphere is cute and family oriented, so is the gift store. The service was good, it's not the waitress fault how our experience went. She was very helpful and kind. Our food took 45 minutes to come out from order to table. My son is 4 so he was absolutely starving by the time we got it. Also, the sausage looked old and kind of firm (like it's been sitting under the plate warmer for an hour) everything was wayyyy overly salty. I wanted to update my review to add this new dish that I have fallen in love with...the Steak n' Egg Hashbrown Casserole! It is so delicious. This is my second time getting it and I look forward to the next visit to get it again, lol! It is packed with scratch-made cheesy hash brown , hot off the grill and layered with Sirloin Steak Tips, farm-fresh scrambled eggs, melted Colby cheese, fried onions, green onions, and fresh diced tomatoes. Served with Buttermilk Biscuits. This is definitely one two try. I also wanted to shot out the staff. Each time we go our service is topnotch. I love the theme of the store and the dining area. My food comes out fresh, looking good... but the steak? WELL done. Like, not a hint of pink. Not a whisper of medium. Just straight brown all the way through. So I wait for the waitress (who was super sweet, shoutout to Bri), she takes it back and comes back saying, "The manager temped it and said that's our medium well." Now listen--if that's y'all medium well, then please make mine medium. Because clearly we speaking two different steak languages. They bring out another one... and y'all. It was even drier. Tough like it owed somebody money. I cut into it--still no pink. I'm not new to this. I know what steak's supposed to look like. The waitress checks again, then here comes Kurt the Manager--pulls up to the table and tells me again it's medium well. But wait... he pulls a meat thermometer out his POCKET like he's about to conduct a science fair project at my table. Temped it right there like he was trying to catch me in a lie... and guess what? It was well done. AGAIN. Me and my boyfriend had just been here on Sunday and had a great experience. That's why we came back. But now? I've been steak-splained, publicly meat-checked, and basically told I don't know what I'm talking about when I'm the one paying. Again, Bri the waitress was awesome. went to this location on February 13, 2023. Cracker always make me feel like I'm going to my grandma's house when I walk in and look around at the decorations they have. I decided to get the Hamburger Steak with fries, bacon baked beans, and biscuits. The Hamburger Steak was seasoned and cooked the way I like it. The biscuits was soft, and putting jelly on it really bought the taste out. The fries was okay, just needed a little bit more seasoning. The Bacon Baked Beans was ok as well; I wish I could have tasted more bacon in the baked beans. All and all it was a really good time. read more

I must say that I am not a big fan of the Cracker Barrel. I will give it that their breakfast are far better than their other food options, though I feel if there are far superior options and local mom and pop places. I do like their little Old Country Stores in the front, strategically located so that you have to walk through them to get to the dining area. A better chance to leave more of your money at this corporate entity. As I have said, breakfast is their best meal and it is not terrible. This is my first Cracker Barrel restaurant I have eaten dinner at in my entire existence on planet earth . I ordered the pork chop dinner with greens and mac & cheese as my two vegetables. I must tell you the food was exceptional. The pork chops were crispy, fresh and seasoned to perfection. The greens were served hot, seasoned and just delicious. The mac & cheese was served hot, favorable and mouth watering delicious. I am definitely a lifetime customer after a delicious and reasonable price meal such as this one. My total meal came to a total of $12.06 I always try to leave my tips with cash. I left $4.00 for my tip which comes to around 33%. This new menu item, the strawberry cream cheese pancakes, was a large portion size, along with two eggs (your style) and either bacon or smoked sausage (I substituted a sausage patty). The pancakes were folded over a generous serving of cream cheese and came adorned with fresh strawberries and a side of strawberry syrup. A dollop of whipped cream was the finishing touch!! I did a curbside pickup here during my cross-country trip. Decided to go into the store to pick it up instead since I arrived early, and the service was absolutely amazing. Not only did the food come out earlier then expected, but the lady up front also patiently helped me figure out which item is gluten free friendly, and answered my multiple requests, all with a smiling face and kind demeanor. For a weary traveler, this is definitely the welcoming and rejuvenating experience I needed. Sunday brunch very busy fairly quick service - We did reservations online. We had a table set for us adults and the kids. We received our waters swiftly we then began to place orders our server made several some suggestions. With those suggestions we changed our initial order What I received: turkey sausage Egg Pancake My toddler meal: Turkey sausage pancake side of fruit I do want to go back to try the country fried chicken or the country fried steak with the gravy originally that's what I wanted but under the waitress suggestions of changing - our waitress had tons of recommendations but with a crowded place and busy table with kids - I would like to get exactly what I wanted unless it was not available I understand that it was crowded food came out it was 30 mins wait - even with all the suggestions our food came to the table incorrect - basically we didn't get to enjoy exactly what we wanted - it was also way to late into brunch to continue to wait for food corrections- what I did eat was tasty so I'm in between 3/4 stars. 4 stars on quality of food but 3 stars on service $25 dollars Plus I still tipped 20% read more

They had a 30 ounce container of pinto beans in the bag. I did not order that, I ordered a bowl. So the lady took it to the kitchen, telling me they would repackage it. 12 minutes later my order still wasn't ready. Luckily I hadn't paid, so I just walked out. I tried to order online and wanted Catfish but the website says because of Covid they are short on Catfish and to contact my local store. So I did. We haven't been able to go inside lately but took advantage of gift cards to order some to-go meals lately. The food is still the same as any other Cracker Barrel location. However, we won't return any time soon due to the extremely poor - meaning slow and customer - service. The previous visit was marred by their website being unable to take 2 payments. This time, when we made each of our entree choices, we were told something wasn't available - but what? The entree,? One of our sides or related choices? It didn't say! Then I called and relayed our orders. In 2 cases a side was not available, in the third case, the entree itself. This prompted the 3rd person in our party to opt out of ordering altogether. I asked why the menu wasn't accurate and was told they're addressing it. OK - after placing our 2 orders, was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived 30-35 minutes later and announced myself. Was told it wasn't ready yet. Finally, almost an hour after the order was placed I received it. I don't mind waiting 60 minutes if told it will be 60 - better to underpromise and overdeliver. Our family ate at the Cracker Barrel Sycamore View in Memphis Saturday night. I have never had worse service. We actually had to ask for utensils twice and when we finally got our food the toast was burned. The refill on coffee was cold! We never got any bread. The steak my son ordered was so tough he could hardly cut it with a knife. I doubt we will ever go there again which I hate because I have loved it in the past. What has happened? The place was busy when we first got there but by the time we got bread there were several empty tables. My wife went and spoke to the manager and while she was gone the meal was delivered and it was wrong. The manager came by the table and said he was sorry. Guess what discount he offered?
