We booked DB&B for two nights and upgraded to an Executive room.On arrival everything was fine we were a little dissapointed when shown to our room because it didnt have the wow factor we expected and looked a little tired, however it had everything we needed, was spacious and spottlesley clean.Breakfast and dinner were excellent,we mixed the menu of the day with the a la cart and found it great. the leisure club has everything you could want although I just used the pool and sauna. The staff were friendly and attentive, location was fine,£4.60 in a taxi into chester. The only thing I didnt like was that is was so warm allover the Hotel! Please turn the heating down! Although my wife loved it,must be a man thing!. All in all a good break and would definitely recommend

Unfortunately the cleanliness was much to be desired and the room could do with a good vaccuum. The food was good but excessively over priced. The quality of the hotel was shown on the wine list which was covered in stains and had clearly been wet and dried many times. The leisure facilities were very good, in fact the best thing about the place. The decor is quitr outdated. However, the hotel was lovely and warm - much needed in this cold spell. By far the worst aspect of the hotel was the staff. After a very warm welcome when booking in, all the other staff i encountered were sullen, unhelpful or arrogant. This place has no qualities to it.

Check in was delightful, a very nice gentleman named Gavin checked us in and as we had 11 pieces of luggage he helped us take all the luggage up to our room without us needing to ask him. It was service with a smile and pleasure from Gavin. Room was clean and roomy enough. We were told of the nearby places to visit as well as places to eat. Overall a very good stay at this Premier Inn and as we were checking out GAVIN saw us in the corridor and immediately helped us get the luggage downstairs and ordered a taxi for us. I cannot say enough how well Gavin did his job, we will return next time we visit Chester.

Rooms were standard, very clean, good tv - at last they have all the freeview channels, great for kids. We had a bathroom with bath too which was nice suprise as was expecting just a shower. Location is very convenient, less than 5 min walk into the main shopping area, then less than a 10min drive to chester zoo. Its not the nicest walk into the centre, you either have to use the subway or cross a very large roundabout. We used the subway, not great but didn't have any problems. One gripe - its made clear there is no parking at this hotel and they recommend 2 pay and display car parks. We made our way to stream mill street where there was plenty of parking and then it was a really short walk to the hotel. However when we got there we discovered there was a (very small) car park. We arrived in the morning when most people were checking out so there were spaces. A bit frustrating as we had already paid in the other car park and had to pay again but more secure and convenient. So my advice would be to check the hotel car park first if you're arriving in the morning. We stayed on a Saturday night so there was a bit of noise outside around 2ish but it didn't last and we didn't have any problems with noise within the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would def stay again.

This really is a great place to stay and carries an ambiance which mixes the traditional exterior with the modern interior really well.

The service was great and they helped sing happy birthday and had a pianist play along. One word of warning: Don't believe the google directions on how to get to here. Instead simply follow the A494 and come off at the Buckley/St. David's Park exit (for the B5127).
