He was a VERY good saxophone player, but EXTREMELY loud, especially for such a small space. We couldn't hear ourselves think, let alone talk. The server couldn't hear us either. Our son has sensory issues, and if he'd been there, we would have had to leave because he would have been freaking out. If we had been there for the Saturday night jazz club scene, it would have been fine, but for Sunday morning brunch with the family, it was more than a little excessive. When I went to the bathroom, I thought, "now this is the volume the music should be out there." The music is the only reason I'm knocking it down to 4 stars. What keeps me loyal to the brand is their signature Hot N Juicy Special sauce (mod: extra garlic). No other Viet Cajun (even in Houston or wherever) comes close to the depth and complexity of the Hot N Juicy Special sauce. For now, the winning move is to order a some sausage in a cup with Hot N Juicy Special medium sauce w/extra garlic TO GO, and sautée it with a bag of defrosted Costco head-on 16-20 count shrimp, or a few dozen live Cherrystone clams from HMart.
