Spent a week on st Pete's beach at the Don Cesar. We walked up the beach to crabby bills. Tricky access from the beach, but we found a way through. Excellent service, clearly excellent management and training. We were very impressed with the work crew on how fast they moved and how good they were. We stayed a little late and even saw how thoroughly they cleaned up for closing. Impressive team. But the highlight was the food. Snow crab was very good. And the Nashville grouper sandwich was I think the best grouper I've had and very generous portion. Cheers to the waiter for recommending it. Dude with braids or dreads. My partner's sangria was slightly better. Our food came out quickly and our server was efficient. We had a cup of the clam chowder, which was not hot enough and overly salty, but flavorful. I ordered the mahi-mahi which was very tasty and had two good size portions along with mashed potatoes and green beans. My partner had the fried shrimp with french fries and coleslaw. It was good except the coleslaw, which was literally swimming in the dressing. We also had a piece of the Keylime pie, which was not quite sweet enough.
