The course is based on watching videos and practice on dolls and knowledge check by the instructor. I did feel accomplished by the end of the class and confident that I can do it. The Rego Park location is in a semi basement setting of a private building which made my entrance experience and the first few minutes a bit uncomfortably (as a woman) I had to become comfortable at first since I was the only one taking that class that day in the afternoon. But the teacher was very professional, experienced and made me feel comfortable/ safe quickly.
