Once you are let in, you are guided to the elevators and checked into the test site. Order in which you get checked in depends on when you get there. I would estimate maybe 10-20 minutes in between getting checked in and starting the test. Test proctors were extremely attentive. Personally only took 45-60 seconds to check out or in during breaks. This might be because it was a pretty small testing center, maybe 10-20 ppl testing at a time. Things were explained very thoroughly. Phones are put in bags to ensure you don't use them during breaks. Also you are not allowed to take off ur sweater while taking the test (because it causes noise for other test takers) so make sure you adjust during the breaks. Proctors were good about letting us know the temperature of the room. At the time it was 75 in the actual test room, even tho it was colder in the break room. Would recommend just a t shirt and no sweater in test room but bringing layers for your break. There was a water fountain there in case you forgot water. They give you a marker and a reusable notepad. Make sure you ask them to test the marker before they give it to you. Some don't work. Overall great experience. Would recommend

If you're looking for a reliable test center, this is it! I've taken two exams with Pearson in the…read morepast and both times I've found the system in place to be efficient and pleasant (or as pleasant as one can be when taking an exam). It's important to note that in this particular building, the earliest you can arrive is half an hour before your appointment. Any earlier, and the security guard will force you to leave the building (they will not let you stay in the lobby). When you arrive at the security desk in the middle of the lobby, they already have your name on a list with all other test takers so you just need to show your ID to verify who you are. Upon entering the suite, you again show your ID (and a credit card or something else with your signature) to the guy up front. They give you a set of instructions to read over and when you're done, you get your picture taken. Depending on the test you're taking, you may also have to get a pulse reading. You then stash all your stuff in a locker and take your ID, locker key, and maybe a calculator if one is permitted to the entrance of the exam room. Your proctor then goes over rules with you (basically whatever you need whether it's to go to the bathroom or you need more scrap paper, you just raise your hand and the proctor comes to you). The proctor then walks you to your seat and logs you into your exam. You're taking your exam in a room with a bunch of other people separated by cubicle walls and there's a timer on your computer. This center also had two clocks on the walls so you can check what time it is. Noise canceling headphones are also on your desk and ear plugs are available upon request. Once you're done, you go to the front and there's usually a printout. Either you get your results right away or the printout instructs you on when to expect results. You get your stuff out of the locker and you're free to leave. The staff at this location are all super friendly and efficient so definitely come here if you're an anxious test taker like me and want the moments leading up to your exam to go smoothly.

My husband and I purchased the 4-class package from Mary Eikeseth that includes: Childbirth…read moreEducation, CPR & Safety, Breastfeeding, and Newborn/Infant Care Basics. First of all, I was so impressed that she provided all of these intensive classes for such a fair rate ($400 total). I love that Mary provides so many scheduling options! Our baby girl (we're first time parents) is due on July 3rd. So far, we've taken the Childbirth Education class (we opted for the full day class on a Sunday), and also the CPR & Safety class (taken on a weekday evening after work). The Childbirth Education class covered everything I would have wanted (and needed) to know, and she is careful to remain neutral on labor and delivery methods while still offering sound expertise and advice. I enjoyed practicing the breathing exercises with my husband, watching the films on different styles of birth, learning about pain relief methods, and all the terminology we are going to hear in the hospital. Mary also provided plenty of materials on questions to ask during a hospital tour, what to pack, what to expect and look for when water breaks or contractions begin, leaving the hospital, etc. I feel like any anxiety that was weighing me down has been alleviated because I am now better equipped to deal with whatever may arise. In the CPR & Safety class last night, we were able to learn and practice CPR on infant CPR dolls. We watched relevant videos, asked plenty of questions, and went through various scenarios as well. We learned what to do if our baby or child is choking, and also basis of first aid, child-proofing, crib set up, car seats, and more. It was fun and interactive. I am so excited to take the Breastfeeding class and the Newborn/Infant Care Basics class over the next two weeks. When our daughter arrives soon, I can rest assured that we prepared ourselves as best as we could. Thanks so much for making us better new parents, Mary!
