I was referred to Anthony Reganato for a periodontal issue and planned to schedule treatment but never returned. I found his hardball sales tactics, over-aggressive recommendation, and immature conduct to be unworthy of any healthcare professional. The disrespectful behavior that I feel he demonstrated is a disgrace to his dental colleagues and the industry. As patients, choosing a specialist for a limited treatment can be difficult since trust is something that is earned and proven over time. We can only take a leap of faith and hope we're making the right decisions. I sought Anthony's expertise, in good faith, and feel that he used his license and privileged position to further his own self-interests at a susceptible point in time for me. He not only violated my autonomous patient rights, but I was fortunate to have followed the treatment recommendation of far more seasoned industry professionals. It seems to me that his bruised ego and hidden rage after being called out on his unprofessional business tactics significantly contributed to the reprehensible behavior that I had to manage. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team delivering periodontal care, Anthony described his role to me as that of a "wingman". My thoughts to the young specialist - THIS ISN'T WAR, Anthony. It's HEALTHCARE. People with oral health conditions needing treatment aren't enemies. You don't dictate who the leading aircraft will be.......and the patient is always the commander making the final decisions. It's unfortunate to have experienced irresponsible actions from such a talented young man with great potential. I'm disappointed that I can't recommend using Anthony Reganato for even a one-time only procedure. I have been a Patient at CPID for many years...which became necessary during a time in my life when I was struggling with the shame of my choices which had caused problems I was now having with my bone, teeth, and mouth. But from the very moment I walked into CPID I was treated with respect and with total privacy. Dr. Reganato's mission statement is impressive: "perform painless dental surgical procedures, uphold an uncompromising and high standard of care, and deliver clinical care with a personal and charismatic touch." Wow. I consulted Dr. Reganato for a tooth that had a very deep pocket. He recommended and performed laser surgery on my tooth under a local anesthetic to clean out the pocket and preserve bone and prevent future loss of the tooth. The surgery was less than an hour and although the aftercare protocol included pain medication, I never used it. I iced my jaw the first day as instructed and had no swelling and only very mild and short lived discomfort for a couple of days. There are doctors who are highly skilled but rarely do they also possess a genuine compassionate bedside manner. Dr. Reganato has both in spades. Very impressed in a day in age where this patience and genuine caring seem to have been lost. I can't recommend Dr. Reganato highly enough. His mission statement reflects my actual experience. I've been very happy with CPID. Not only has everyone been nice and professional, but because of everything I've learned and followed from my regular visits and cleanings from Heather, I finally feel like I have control over my gum disease. If my experience at dentists in the past had been as helpful in controlling things, but also pleasant and relatively painless, then I would have been doing the things I needed for many years to prevent this and would have enjoyed going to the dentist. Dr. Reganato is obviously very skillful, knowledgeable, and competent, always willing to answer questions while painting a short term and long term strategy for the appropriate health and maintenance of my gums. The out-patient gum graft with him was pretty quick and painless (much better than what I've heard from others) and by seriously following the instructions of him and his assistants my gums are much better still 4 months later. First time to see Dr. Reganato was in Oct of this yr. I was a little leery as he was younger then I expected. I found him to be kind, patient, and a gentleman. He took the time to explain everything in detail and most importantly he listened to any/all questions or concerns I might have had. I had no pain or discomfort during or after the procedure. This young man really knows his stuff when it comes to his profession and I have to say I was very impressed. Now I have been to both offices (Vernon Hills/Buffalo Grove) and have had to see him 4 times since Oct and never once have I had to wait more than a minute to be seen. The offices are very neat/clean. The women at the front desk are friendly and his assistant was great. If you are in need of a periodontist there is no need to look any further than Dr. Reganato. I have referred many patients to Dr. Reganato. My father in law being the most extensive case. He needed to have all his teeth removed due to a very bad infection and replaced with an ALL-ON-4 denture. We have heard horror stories about this procedure so naturally we were scared. Dr. Reganato performed "Alloderm Reverse Tunneling" surgery because of my receding gums. The procedure was performed under local anesthesia and I was able to see and hear everything. Dr. Reganato is very experienced in performing the above procedure. He really knows what he is doing. I've got the implants on my entire lower arch. The entire visit took around two hours. His staff is super friendly and helpful as well. My recovery was quick and with no issues. I ended up not needed to take the prescribed pain killers, since the pain was very tolerable. Face swelling went away after the third day, and the two weeks checkup was very good. If you have to get this procedure, I highly recommend to consult with Dr. Reganato. My dentist (whom I trust implicitly) referred me to Dr. Reganato for a gum graft and bone graft. The staff was extremely pleasant, and my wait was short. Dr. Reganato examined my tooth, told me what would be needed, and made sure I understood the procedure. When I returned for the grafts, again I was met with a pleasant, professional staff. Dr. Reganato made sure I had as little pain as possible while doing the procedure and sent me home with clear instructions of what to do. I cannot lie: once the anesthetic wore off, my mouth really hurt! That said, following the instructions of what to eat and how to care for the tooth, the pain subsided. Dr Reganato is the absolute best! I was experiencing swelling and bleeding gums and found out it was because I lost bone in my jaw and had to go in for a bone graft. Sounds like a horrible procedure but my experience was fantastic from the first time I walked through the door until my last follow up. Dr Reganato takes great care and time with his patients, and his surgical technique is superb. I had very little pain during and after the surgery and now my mouth feels so much better. I have7 implants. 6 done in Los Angeles and 1 by Dr Freeman In Buffalo Grove. With so many implants I feel that my review is of great value to future and/or current patients. Dr Freeman's implant was done in1/2 the time as my 6 in Los Angeles implants and more important ,was the lack of discomfort during and after the implant by Dr. Freeman. I did my homework and got platinum reviews from other dental professionals that I contacted. I also checked around re: prices, and found Dr. Freeman's price was actually a bit lower than those of other periodontists. Should I need further oral surgery, Dr. Freeman is my ONLY choice. Dr. Reganato was great! He is such a smart man, just by looking at an X-Ray he created a whole treatment plan for me so that I would not have trouble later on in the future. His intelligence just amazes me. His handy work is just as great. I remember my first visit to Dr Reganato's office and how anxious I was! Well, right after Dr Reganato started talking to me - my anxiety was gone.
