Every place insisted a caterer, which no one in the bridal party wanted to pay for considering it wasn't a normal shower.. it was co-ed! One random night, about two weeks after I had emailed this random place I found on The Knot.. I finally got a response so straight forward I thought it wasn't real. $500, no down payment.. money in cash or check due the very day of the party, don't have to have a caterer, BYOB, tables, chairs, etc included. I instantly called the guy. Manager of the center was named Jimmy, a 74 year old man.. total riot. I read most of the reviews on every other site and everyone was so up and down about him. Some people said he was rude and inappropriate.. others said he was super helpful and attentive. Well from my experience, from day one it was perfect. Met with him the first night with the bride to be's parents and my boyfriend and he gave us a tour of the place, told us we could have the place for 10 hours and for $500. The place was gorgeous! Plenty of different sized tables, chairs, A/C, covered outdoor deck, high ceilings, gorgeous flowers planted all around the building, beautifully maintained yard by the river with lights dangling all around, two bathrooms, and a fully stocked and loaded kitchen. I was super happy about this place. Jimmy and I talked a couple of times throughout the months of planning. Any time I had any questions he was always super attentive, always giving me a call back as soon as possible if he missed it. Super sweet, any funny guy. About a week before the day of the shower, Jimmy called me telling me he wasn't going to be able to open the building for us because he had relatives going into the Marines that weekend so he would miss the party! He wanted to meet a few days before and personally give me the key to open myself and let me come an hour earlier than we agreed on and showed me where everything was located. Every light switch, every lock on the doors, every table, showed us what was offered in the kitchen, and where to leave the money and key for him to pick up the next day. Everything was super easy to remember. I would like to say, the shower turned out amazing. Every guest raved about how beautiful the place was and how gorgeous the decorations were. It was a great time, nothing went wrong that day. I was super stressed for months and nothing could have went better. Cleanup was easy, closing the building was easy.. I left feeling exhausted but content. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone. It's small so if you decide to have a wedding or party here, it should be for anywhere smaller than 100 people. I had about 48 people for my shower, so it was just right. I'd come back if I had the opportunity to for sure! Thanks again!

The theater use to be the Rainbow Theater. They really did a transformation ( the old theater was nice too, great shows). You walk into the lobby and you see all the magical decor. They take you picture upon entrance. You can purchase the pictures later (high quality). There is a concession stand and a gift shop located in the lobby as well. There are ushers that escort you into the theater. The seats are assigned. They have seating for parties of 2 to 6. You have the option to have a dinner theater experience or just the show. You can purchase items from the concession stand to enjoy while you watch the show. We booked the premium package. The premium package included an aerial pour. You had a selection of sparkling juice or recently. It also included a special appetizer, a special smoke drink, and a special dessert. The presentation of everything was top-tier. I truly enjoyed the entire experience. I really didn't even know what to expect. The show was amazing. It had magical tricks. It had some comedy. It had some illusions. Ithad crowd participation. The show runs for about 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission. If you are planning a trip to Lancaster be sure to add this place to your list.

This is a response to review of 9-29-18. That review is incredibly mis-leading…read more. So to start out, I have attended at least 10 events at the American Legion's Hall from bands to celebrations. I liked it so much I joined as a member. The staff is always courteous and friendly. The prices are better than most. The facility is also kept cleaner than many other venues. The night in question, the guests were smuggling in alcohol from out-side which is a violation of the their contract.. Sorry, but when you rent a hall you are responsible for the behavior of the people you bring in. When warned that any outside alcohol was a violation of the contract and that if it was seen again the event would be terminated the Bride holding the event said it was "Not my problem". Well, it happened again.. and the event was ended and tons of people who did not know the details got really rude and surged the bar and then the girl in charge went and got help from club members (I was one of them). I saw the containers of confiscated alcohol that were left out in clear view on tables.. People that do these types of things need to stop screaming show me some respect and need to show some respect themselves. You sign a contract you take responsibility and "respect" your own word. Bartenders at a place with a liquor license have to up-hold the liquor regulations and when people are smuggling in alcohol it hits the revenue side and it keeps them from doing their job. So, you break the rules you face the consequences. No one wants to see anyone's event ended early, but when you dis-respect the contract you signed and show no concern when warned and it happens again, the event is over. With the cries for "respect", a door man is not security and is there in more of a service role for needs that come up. He is not going to frisk your guests on the way in. That would be disrespectful. In addition, the race card was played in that review.. The club has members of all races and services events from all races. Only those that refuse to comply with their contracts have issues and that is not determined by race.
