Exploring Lititz for the first time and we were drawn into this shop from its beautiful window display. It seems to have every kitchen gadget, baking dish, spice imaginable plus cooking classes. Would love to have a store like this near my home in California. The store is very well organized, clean and inviting. Great for gift shopping. read more

If you love, kitchen stores, and kitchen gadget stores, you will love Zest! It has all kinds of kitchenware, knives, drink, fixings, oils, spices, aprons, baking needs, you name it. I ended up buying an apron for my husband since I couldn't find one at Christmas time. Definitely worth a stop when you are strolling downtown Lititz. read more

I really enjoyed poking around in here! There's some absolutely beautiful pieces for your kitchen in here. Handy implements. And fun spices, seasonings, sauces, pastas, etc to try! The staff was all really friendly! As a baker I could spend so long looking at everything. I gave my fiancé a laundry list of gift ideas from here! read more

Zest is a great cooking store with all of the things that you would need! The only reason I rated this three stars is because I didn't really enjoy looking at everything there, it just sort of bored me. My mom said the same, but the other person I was with said that she had a great time, and she actually bought something there! The only reason we went in Zest was because she loved to cook, so at least she had an amazing time there. I'm just not a cooker as well as not interested in cooking at all. I normally quit halfway through. I'm a taste-tester! read more

Some years ago Zest was a tiny shop extension of the Tea Shop in Lititz. Then it expanded, and expanded, and now, when I wandered in for some small business shopping days before Christmas, it is a complete surprise! Now this review is for the shop, not the classes or other offerings. There are 5 rooms of various sizes, and most were packed with shoppers looking for unique kitchen tools and various kitchen wares. There were decor items, ornaments, and shelves of spices, seasonings, sauces, and mixes. There were many shelves of cook and entertainment related books. I spied a tiramisu kit in the window and got the last one for my daughter in law. The prices are what I would expect to pay in a specialty shop. The place was hopping as I said, but the employees on hand were running around doing their best to be helpful. I really didn't get to peruse the merchandise closely, but took photos to allow you to see the various rooms and the contents on the shelves. As you can see it is an eclectic mix. If you or someone in your life is a cooking aficionado, you will feel right at home in Zest! read more

Overpriced kitchen gadgets and trinkets for tourists. Has become more and more trinkety as they've grown in popularity. The back two rooms once featured all sorts of hard-to-find sauces, rubs and marinades....now filled with junk that you can find at Walmart or Target. A shame they let a good thing go to their head. Used to really enjoy visiting Zest and walking out with bunches of good kitchen gear. read more

Love this kitchen shop! Lots of great quality kitchen items. Staff is always so friendly & helpful. They offer lots of cooking classes. Located in the heart of Lititz. If you stop in this town, don't miss this store!! Zest!! read more

Too bad I can't leave a zero star review. My girlfriend and I had signed up for a "Date Night" cooking class here. Being called that, as well as being $20 more than the regular cooking classes, logic says that it would be one ticket for two people. This is not the case. (Note: nowhere on their site or while ordering tickets does it say that it is one ticket per person) When we arrived, we were told that we were only reserved one seat for the two of us, but that we could buy another ticket for another $75. Now, mind you, this isn't actually an actual cooking class - it's more like being an audience member on a food network show. The kitchen area was on a raised platform adjacent to the tiny tables they had set up, which is horribly inefficient for you to actually watch and see what the cook was doing, let alone they said it was 12 seats, which means that 3 people would have their backs facing the kitchen area. Despite no clarification on the menu (unlike other "classes"), the site is very clear that they do not offer refunds. We left our information with one of the staff, as the owner was out of town. When my girlfriend contacted Zest/the owner to discuss this matter (as the website is horribly misleading), she was treated as if we were idiots and with terrible attitude, telling her "You assumed it meant two people because it said date night", among other patronizing statements. In the end, the resolution was that we would receive a gift card of the amount we paid for the class. I'm sure we'll use it, because wasting money is a poor choice, but I'm incredibly displeased with our experience, especially since it was also our first time with the business. I've already told a few of my friends in the industry the story and none of the can believe the level of ineptitude and poor service that we've been treated to. For a high end kitchen store, this is what I'd expect from a kiosk in the mall. Edit: They've update their site to include the ticket/pp information. Hopefully this will preclude others from making the same mistake we did. Should've been there in the first place! read more

Zest! Is the coolest and most complete kitchen store I have ever been in! I could have spent hours in there just browsing and shopping. The store is quite large and has two extended back rooms off the main store entrance. My suggestion is that you start along the first wall and then meander along all the walls until you come back to the opposite side of the entrance doors, nothing is to be missed. Their prices are unbelievably fair and in many cases very low in price. Zest! Is a specialty food store of both domestic and imported items. Zest! Is a gift store with a perfect gift for anyone that you know who likes to cook and or bake, even if you are not into cooking they have some of the coolest kitchenware and decor I have seen. You could go through this store twice and still miss things! After my sister in law and I had left the store, I knew she bought these really cool red wine glasses which all match, yet had a different design so the guest will know whose was whose, she informed me that she had bought some Ina Garten mixes and I was saying, oh no, I never saw them! I bought a Rougie Bloc De Foie Gras D'Oie ( goose liver pate' ) and a Rougie Bloc de Foie Gras de Canard ( duck liver pate' ), they were not inexpensive, but I know that I would have paid more elsewhere and finding pate's from France isn't the easiest thing to do. Check this out; they have sealed bags of almost any spice you can think of for $3.95 a bag and these bags each equal three jars of McCormick's spices and you do know how expensive that can be. I love a good Puttanesca sauce and this one is loaded with fresh sliced garlic, kalamata olives, anchovies and capers, if you are not into this sauce they have many others to choose from. The owner Ed and his wife own and run the shop and I only met him, what a friendly guy, which I found to be typical of all the Lititz folks. I told him flat out that if I lived in this town I would be one of his best customers. I absolutely adored this shop and loved how they have it set up. Soon they will be online @ www.zestchef.com read more

A charming, quaint, and pretty store full of all things kitchen and dining...and in a charming, quaint, and pretty town. I was shopping with a friend, and she wanted to walk in. I said...sure...why the heck not?! We walked in, and I was pretty impressed with the displays, products, and the samples of orange pekoe iced tea. It was a hot day, and the iced tea couldn't be more refreshing. I work at Sur la Table in Massachusetts, and I appreciated the similar style of store in Lititz. I even said as much to the store owner, who also said that they loved Sur La Table. This is a MUST visit store if you are in the area. :) read more

My first and last time in this store. I walked two steps into this store and the elderly lady clerk asked me "what are you looking for?" without greeting me, very rude; I replied with a smile on my face "I'm just browsing at this moment, thank you". After browsing the main room store for a couple of minutes that same elderly lady kept following me, I felt stalked and unwelcome. I got nauseated and left the store. Five minutes of my life wasted maybe I was too brown for her like. read more

Adorable kitchen store. Nina was super friendly and helpful. They carry a little bit of everything. Will definitely go back when in town.

This store reminds me of Williams Sonoma, just a smaller version. I've been here several times but I haven't purchased anything from this store. Mainly because I don't need anything to add in my luggage. They have some interesting stuff here, they also have some cooking/baking classes based on what I've heard. They also have some free taste. read more

My husband and I visited downtown Lititz for the ice festival and I was excited to see Smeg appliances in Zest's window. I had been hoping to add a Smeg coffee pot to my collection and my husband had planned on purchasing me one as a Valentine's Day present. We went into the store and bee-lined for the Smeg appliances and began to take a look. My husband opened the top of their display model to look to see what kind of filter the coffee maker used and immediately a sales associate with a short blonde haircut, whom I will refer to as "Karen" for obvious reasons, chastised at him "Be careful with that!" We are grown adults in our 30s. She tried to backtrack and explain to us the color options etc. but then switched her attention and ignored us. Needless to say, we left without the coffee pot, and with a bad taste in our mouths. I love cooking and small specialty kitchen stores such as Zest, but I will never return and will be ordering my Smeg coffee pot online. read more

Such a cute store! They have so many kitchen gadgets that you didn't realize you needed. They also offer cooking classes!

Purchased recently a floor mat for approximately $70.00 and it did not wear well at all. Store refused to make good for it. Will not return to store. read more

This place is a real gem in the middle of nowhere. I don't venture out into Lancaster county often but I happened to be in the area and stumbled across this little place. The store carries things that I wouldn't even think existed! The window and store displays are so artfully done. The grocery selection is steep and the home goods are great. As soon as you walk in you smell the spices and dried herbs that they have for sale. Some of the prices are a bit excessive and I can find a lot of those items in the city for almost half the price but again its a great shop and they carry things that you can't find in that typical neighborhood unless you are from a larger urban city. The owner seems friendly and the staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable of the products and sales. They offer Sicilian cooking classes as well as vegan and even kids cooking classes which I thought was pretty cool! Whenever I'm in the area again I will definitely stop in again. read more
