Tried to return a wooden bowl and was told I couldn't because it was an antique and they have a no returns policy. Lady told me it says so on the receipt. How the hell are you to know that until after the purchase, and you have a receipt?! I spent over $600 in a single visit and planned to buy to more, but not now. The owner/manager was hawk eyeing me and my family the entire time as if we were stealing or something, it was a really creepy vibe. Very over priced, the smell is way too intense in there. Some antiques were cool, otherwise this is not a place I would ever recommend or go to ever again. read more

Cozy cottage is my favorite place to come in to look for Christmas decorations. The Christmas trees and overall decor in there is incredibly well thought out and designed. Sometimes a few of their products are a little overpriced for my taste, but if you go in there after the holidays they have some really great sales. If you're looking for a little bit of a rustic design that is pretty unique and fun, it doesn't get much better than Cozy cottage. I love coming in for the holidays, and will continue to do so this year! read more

I purchased an item from the store and took it back, with the receipt, one week after I bought it. The manager on duty was not nice at all and said that I could not bring it back because it was a certain brand. I said that I would just take a store credit and she still said no. I read the receipt, and no where on it, does it say that things can't be returned from that collection. It has a list of things, like sale items, seasonal items, food products, etc. Mine was a hook plaque for the wall. I asked her to call the owner and she came back and said, "they would make an exception this one time." I then tried to use the gift card at the Park Meadows store and when I got everything rang up, the girl said that you could not use gift cards in the store. I then tried on line and the gift card wouldn't work! UGH! So frustrating! read more

You will NOT receive order in a timely manner (they are tricky and print a label but do not send) and you will NOT receive your entire order. I never write reviews... but this is needed. So by word of mouth. I've heard the owner is a complete nightmare. And the rumors stand true the owner is rude and disrespectful. My sister and I drove all the way from Denver to come to this specific store for faux plants. Was excited to get some flowers we had so much fun picking stuff out. Was told by the front desk "you have 10 days to return, take it home and play with them bring back what you don't like" so my mother made a special trip for me to return it 3 days after having the items because they didn't work. They were still in the bundles and wrapping the staff put together at checkout.... they tell my mother that the items are "seasonal items are only good for store credit" so I called requesting to speak to the owner. This so called business "owner" called me by the wrong name ( after I corrected her. Clearly on purpose) with a rude ungrateful tone. Proceeded to tell me about some seasonal return policy that was never addressed at check out. All around I would give this store a zero star. This business especially the owner lacks any form of customer service, I will NEVER come back and will be happy to tell all my friends. read more

Buyers beware!! Purchased a $795 table with 20% off on 1/8/2017. Attempted to pick the table up on 1/9/2017 and we were informed the employees made a mistake on price. Cozy Comfort's solution was for us to spend another $400.00 to purchase the same table we already bought. "All sales final" for customers but if Cozy Cottage makes the mistake "All sales final" doesn't apply! Don't worry if you don't agree with the bad business practices, the small business will refund your money and waste your time and effort. The facts are undisputed by Cozy Comfort and yet they fail to understand basic customer service. What would have happened if we were able to the table home the same night? read more

My sister bought my mom a candle for Christmas that had a scent she didn't like, we came to exchange the candle today (day after Christmas). The girls who "helped" us explained she could only exchange it for Christmas items (nothing else in the store would be an option) and since they were having their half off sale, they would only give half the credit. The candle was bought at full price $17+ before today (obviously) and doesn't even look like a Christmas only item. The exchange policy is absolutely ridiculous, however, the customer service was far worse. There wasn't an apology for the inconvenience. There wasn't even a friendly attitude. I only wished I asked their names. Completely unapologetic and rude. One even suggested "oh well, you can keep it and give it as a gift to someone else" - This was a gift for my mom!?! I was going to shop around, they had some cute things, but I will not. There are many other stores I can spend my money and get excellent service! The Perennial Gardner is a wonderful store downtown with great customer service. I wont be back to the Cozy Cottage. Ever. And being born and raised in Fort Collins, I'll be sharing my experience with everyone I know. Hopefully this review will bring some change to this store and their service. read more
